Chapter 21 - The Legacy of the Legendary Sword

While they were on the island's shore, Basil's eyes were fixed on the sword Hamza was holding. A look of astonishment was clearly visible on his face, so he asked, "Is this the sword you used to defeat the monster?"

Hamza replied while looking at the sword, "Yes, it is a sword that possesses terrifying power, and it is difficult to control."

Basil stepped closer, his eyes examining the engravings and fine details that adorned the blade. He ran his fingers over the decorations carved into the metal and said in amazement, "This sword has a unique design… It combines forging styles from several kingdoms, not just one."

Hamza was surprised by this remark and asked curiously, "And how do you know that?"

Basil smiled confidently and answered, "I worked as a blacksmith in the city of Azal, and I had a special passion for studying sword designs."

Hamza said, "You are right. This sword is one of the five legendary swords in the world, and it contains the Kanzel stone. It is known as 'Al-Farouq.'"

Basil's features froze for a moment, his eyes widening in great shock, and he said in a voice filled with astonishment, "Al-Farouq?! Do you mean the sword of the commander 'Abu Al-Laith'?! I have heard legends about him. It is said that with his leadership, he was able to defeat an army of 200,000 soldiers with a force that did not exceed 20,000. And he carried a sword called Al-Farouq. Do you know him?"

Hamza smiled mysteriously and said in a voice that carried within it a mixture of many emotions, "In a distant time, King 'Dhu Yazan' united five kingdoms after a series of long wars to establish the Kingdom of 'Arabaya' the strongest kingdom of that era. To secure his rule, he formed a great army led by seven of the strongest knights in the world, known as the commanders of the 'Knights of Salvation.'

These knights spread terror into the hearts of their enemies, and their fame spread throughout all the kingdoms. Each one of them was equal in strength to a thousand fighters. And their supreme leader was my father, Khalid… nicknamed Abu Al-Laith, one of the greatest military commanders in history and the main force behind the unification of the kingdoms."

Basil froze in place, astonishment clearly drawn on his face, his voice coming out choked, "Abu Al-Laith… is your father?!"

Hamza nodded, continuing in an emotional voice, "Yes, my father is Abu Al-Laith. He was famous for his strategic genius and mastery of the arts of war. He fought one hundred battles and was not defeated in a single one, and he fought fifty duels, emerging victorious from all of them."

Then he looked at the sword and continued, "Forty years ago, my father, Abu Al-Laith, participated in a grand tournament held by the king in the Kingdom of Arabaya to choose the strongest swordsman in the land. The prize was the legendary sword Al-Farouq. The greatest warriors competed, and in the final battle, my father claimed victory and seized the sword. After that, he became known as the strongest man in the Kingdom of Arabaya."

Basil stepped back, still unable to comprehend the magnitude of the information he had just heard, then said in a shaken voice, "So this sword carries a great legacy—your father's legacy."

Hamza lowered his head, his voice filled with sorrow, "But the painful truth is that I never met my father. He left on a secret mission before I was born and never returned since. And as the years passed, my mission became to find him and return the sword to him."

Basil felt a mixture of admiration and sympathy, realizing that Hamza was not only the heir to the sword Al-Farouq, but also the son of the great supreme commander, and that his journey had not ended yet, but had only just begun in his search for his lost father.
