Chapter 64 - An Invitation

"What happened." It wasn't a question. Sukuna stared at Izuku, while Uraraka was frantically calling the police. He had just exited the gaming store, having bought quite a few games. He had walked for a bit before stumbling upon Uraraka and Izuku.

"Shigaraki happened." Izuku sighed, shaking his head, trying to calm himself down. "Weird that he went for me, you're the one that caused his league the most losses after all." He added.

"What did he say?" Sukuna asked, sitting beside him, while Uraraka was still chatting with the emergency call operator.

"Apparently Stain wasn't apart of the League of Villains, the media made it seem that way."

"Well if the people used their brains, they would've figured that out. Stain and the League's ideals are far too different for them to be able to cooperate." Sukuna shrugged.

"Shigaraki's jealous of him. He said to me, that everything he has done up until now has been undermined by Stain's fame, even though the both of them were simply destroying things they didn't like in order to change the world." Izuku slowly recounted his meeting with the villain. Sukuna snorted.

"Yeah? Sounds like what he would say."

"Shigaraki's planning something."

"Against All Might I presume."

" How did you know?" He glanced at Sukuna who shrugged.

"Think back to when he first appeared at the USJ. He was there simply because he thought All Might was going to be there, even had a Nomu made specifically for combatting him." Sukuna then glanced at him.

"It's obvious the League is gearing up for something big again. But Izuku, what you really should be worried about, is whether or not we'll have a peaceful summer training camp." Izuku widened his eyes at what Sukuna implied.

"You don't think..."

" Why would he not?" Sukuna placed his hands in his pocket, leaning against the bench they were both sitting on.

"You know there's already rumors about a traitor in our school after what happened to us at the USJ. If there is one, what's to say the same thing won't happen to us during camp?" Izuku looked down, seeing the truth in Sukuna's words. Call Sukuna paranoid, but with Shigaraki actively targeting 1-A, it's better to be safe than sorry.

"You're right, I think we need to ask Momo to make earpieces. There's a chance they might block the signals during camp. The signal in the forest is bad as it is." Izuku stated. Sukuna patted his back.

"Relax, I have it handled. Just try to have a good time with all of us."

"R-right..."

The police arrived shortly after. The mall was then closed down. Izuku was taken by Detective Naomasa to the Police Station to be questioned by him about the event that transpired.

Some time later, Mina could be found walking back home with Sukuna, the boy had insisted he stay by her side all the way back.

"Aww mann, I really wanted to eat with you. Those stupid League of Villains ruined my day!" She complained angrily. Sukuna just held her hand reassuringly.

"Well at least you weren't hurt by Shigaraki or anything..." She whispered, before glancing at him.

"So what did you buy?" She asked, changing the topic after noticing he was carrying some paper bags.

"Just some snacks, I already have all I need back home. I also got some videos games for by PS10." Sukuna replied. Mina tilted her head a little.

"What about that bag?" She asked, noticing he was holding a small one, not bigger than her pencil box.

"Oh, just something my mom wanted." He replied casually, not wanting to get into details. Mina hummed.

"Well I wanted to buy some shirts, but then the mall got close down so that's not happening." She then grinned at him.

"It's okay, I'll just borrow yours." Sukuna only grunted.

"You know I saw Bakugo with a girl just now."

"Oh?"

"Yeah, she was all blonde and like super cute!" Sukuna never would've thought Bakugo would show interest in the opposite gender, never mind going out with one. Funnily enough, he actually thought the man was gay.

"Good for him I guess." Mina pouted at him.

"You could've shown at least a bit of interest in it." Sukuna stopped, looking down at her eyes.

"The only thing I'm interested in is you." He stated seriously. Mina blinked before laughing.

"Oops, sorry. I forgot you're totally obsessed with me." She teased, wrapping her arm around his. Sukuna only snorted.

"Well look who's talking."

...

Sukuna was playing games on his Nintendo switch 4 that he purchased with his own money received from his inventions. As of this moment, he was playing Animal Crossing with Mina, with the pink girl insisting that he would be addicted to it in no time just like her. Well, she wasn't wrong.

He then heard knocking from his door.

"Come in." He said, still playing his video game. His father walked in, placing an envelope near his desk.

"This came in for you while you were out at the mall with your friends." Jin explained.

"Take a look at it as soon as you can, it's from UA so I guess it's really important." He added.

"They couldn't just sent it to my email? What's the point of asking for my email in the first place?" Sukuna grumbled as his character started chopping down a tree in the game. Jin shrugged.

"Probably afraid you weren't going to read it." He reasoned, heading outside of the room, before stopping and looking back at his son.

"Oh and uh, are you dating Mina?" He asked. Sukuna blinked, looking up at him.

"Yes? I thought mom already told you that."

"I just wanted to ask you in person." He said, sitting beside him, glancing at the video game he was playing.

"Oh, Animal Crossing. Nice choice. Is that Mina playing with you?" He asked, noticing a pink skinned character happily sitting beside Sukuna's pink haired character on a bench.

"Mhm."

"Me and your mom used to play it, but our jobs kinda got a little busy so we put a pause button on that." Sukuna glanced at his father.

"You and mom play video games?" He asked, not believing what he heard. Jin raised an eyebrow.

"Do you know how much me and your mother played Mario Kart when we were younger? I swear we could've played it every hour of the day if we wanted too." Jin chuckled, a nostalgic look in his eyes.

"Listen son, I know you already know this but, I hope you treat Mina right."

"That goes without saying, dad..." Sukuna muttered silently. Jin patted his shoulder.

"No harm in reminding." Jin got up and started walking out, before stopping once again, glancing down at his son.

"And remember son, me and your mother are always with you." Sukuna glanced up silently, not knowing what to say. Jin only smiled as he walked out, closing the door behind him.

Sukuna stared silently, before he reluctantly continued to play with Mina.

...

"The letter from UA told me that I was invited to the early access event of I-Expo. Since I am an inventor, they wanted me there so that I can 'spread the word' of my inventions, so to speak, and maybe announce my up and coming ones too." Sukuna explained to his parents over dinner. His parents nodded silently, and it goes without saying that their son is allowed to go.

I-Expo is a world-class exposition showcasing the results of research and development on I-Island. If their son was invited due to his accomplishments, why wouldn't he be allowed to go?

"Of course you can go, son. Do you need help with the packing?" Jin questioned, drinking some of the miso soup his wife and son made together.

"No need, I've already got it settled before dinner." Sukuna replied as Kaori turned to face her husband.

"Dear, how long has it been since we've been to I-Expo?" Kaori asked him. The dark pink haired man rubbed his chin.

"Hmm, if I'm not mistaken, the last time we went there was before we had Sukuna. We never went there ever since our son was born." Jin stated. Sukuna deadpanned at them.

"Are you trying to imply something, dad?"

Jin laughed loudly, he now understood why his son's face had became a worldwide meme. He shook his head, still chuckling.

"No. It's just we'd rather focus on caring for you instead of focusing too much on our own leisure time. Besides, I think with you going there, maybe we should go there after the expo is made open to the public." Jin turned back to Kaori who immediately nodded, an excited glint in her eyes.

"Oh, the letter also says that I can invite someone else to come with me. I was planning on inviting you or mom, but since you two are planning to go together after the public opening, I need to find someone else now." Sukuna brought up. Now it was his parents' turn to deadpan at him.

"Son." Kaori placed her hand on his left shoulder, with Jin doing the same on his right.

"I think the solution to your problem is pretty obvious, don't you think?" She smiled at him. Sukuna blinked, before his girlfriend, the absolute queen that she is, came to mind.

"Call her now." Jin demanded. Sukuna sighed, his phone already in hand.

"You got it, dad."

...

"Mina, you're shaking too much." Sukuna commented, as he and her were sitting together on the airplane, just minutes before launch.

"W-well, it's my first time ya know." Mina laughed nervously. Sukuna snorted, intertwining his hand with hers.

"Relax, I am here." He whispered. Mina leaned on his shoulder in response, finding herself calming down.

"Where's all that confidence gone to huh? It's just a plane, Mina." Sukuna teased. Mina pouted, slapping his arm playfully.

"Shut up..."

....

"All Might, why are you hiding yourself so suddenly?" Izuku asked as he turned to look at the number one hero in his skinny form, having suddenly put on an extremely oversized hoodie, covering his head with the hood.

"It seems Young Sukuna has been invited to I-Expo, and he's brought a date." All Might whispered. Izuku blinked before observing the other seats, finding Sukuna and Mina sitting not far from them, heads leaning against each other.

"Well... What are the chances huh..."
