Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: The Clown at the Door

"Delivery driver?"

Lin Feng's face turned purple with rage. He pointed a trembling finger at Victor.

"Victor! Stop pretending! You don't know medicine at all! You are just a rich playboy who knows how to spend money!"

Lin Feng turned frantically to Grace Su and Dr. Wilson.

"Miss Su, don't be fooled by him! He must have used some forbidden stimulant to wake Elder Su up temporarily. It's a trick! It will harm the patient's foundation!"

Lin Feng was confident. The Nine-Heaven Resurrection Needle was a lost art. How could a villain like Victor know it? He must be faking it!

"I am the only one who can truly cure him!" Lin Feng shouted, trying to rush toward the bed. "Let me check his pulse!"

"Stop him!"

A majestic, weak but firm voice rang out.

It wasn't Victor. It was Elder Su lying on the bed.

The old general struggled to sit up, his eyes sharp like an eagle's. He looked at Lin Feng with disgust.

"This is a hospital, not a vegetable market. Who let this noisy clown in?"

Lin Feng froze. "Elder Su... I am trying to save you..."

"Save me?" Elder Su sneered. "I feel better than ever. My chest pain is gone. And you are cursing me to have a relapse?"

"Guards!" Grace Su's face turned cold. She wiped her tears and stood up, regaining her aura as the heiress of the Su family.

"Throw this man out. And make sure he never steps foot in this hospital again."

"Yes, Miss!"

Four burly bodyguards immediately grabbed Lin Feng's arms.

"Let go of me! You idiots! You are making a mistake!" Lin Feng struggled. He wanted to use his martial arts to fight back, but he hesitated.

If he beat up the Su family's bodyguards here, he would offend the Su family forever. He couldn't do that. He needed them.

"Victor! You stole my opportunity! You despicable thief!"

Lin Feng roared as he was dragged out of the door like a dead dog. His voice echoed in the hallway until the elevator doors closed.

The room finally became quiet.

Victor stood by the window, watching the "War God" being tossed onto the street below. He took a sip of the tea a nurse had just handed him.

"Pathetic," Victor muttered.

"Mr. Cheyne," Elder Su looked at Victor, his expression changing from strict to grateful. "I owe you my life. I heard the White family's daughter humiliated you tonight. Do you need me to... teach them a lesson?"

The Su family's promise! This was worth more than billions!

Dr. Wilson and the other doctors looked at Victor with envy. With one word from Elder Su, Victor could walk sideways in this city.

But Victor shook his head.

"No need, Elder Su. I like to crush my enemies myself."

Victor placed his empty teacup on the table.

"However, I do have a small request."

"Speak," Elder Su said.

"I heard the Su family has some business cooperation with the White family regarding the 'New City Project'."

Victor smiled, a dangerous glint in his eyes.

"Terminate it."

Elder Su was stunned for a second, then he laughed heartily. "Hahaha! Good! Ruthless and decisive. I like your style, young man."

"Grace," Elder Su ordered. "Call the legal department. Cancel all contracts with the White family immediately. From now on, the Su family's partner is the Cheyne Group!"

"Yes, Grandpa," Grace looked at Victor. Her eyes were no longer looking at a "playboy," but at a mysterious, powerful man who controlled everything. Her heart beat slightly faster.

[Ding!]

[Mission Accomplished: Cut off the Protagonist's connection with the Su Family.] [Reward: 2000 Destiny Points.] [Special Reward: Combat Ability - 'Master Level Fighting Skills' (Equivalent to 10 years of martial arts training).] [Attribute Points: +20 Strength, +20 Speed.]

Victor felt a warm current flowing through his muscles. His body became lighter, tougher. His knuckles hardened.

Finally.

He now had the power to protect himself. If Lin Feng tried to assassinate him tonight... well, Victor was looking forward to it.

"Mr. Cheyne, are you leaving?" Grace asked subconsciously as she saw Victor turning to leave.

"Yes. I have a lot of things to do," Victor waved his hand without looking back. "By the way, Miss Su, you look better when you smile than when you cry."

Grace blushed.

Leaving the hospital, Victor walked to his Rolls-Royce.

The night wind was cold. He looked at the system panel.

Name: Victor Cheyne

Destiny Points: 2500 (Positive!)

Strength: 28 (Superhuman level)

Status: The Hunter.

"Lin Feng," Victor looked at the dark alley across the street. He could feel a murderous gaze staring at him from the shadows.

"The game of cat and mouse is over. Now, it's tiger vs. dog."
