Chapter 414 - Chapter 414: Yamato: I Am the Daughter of the Raiden Shogun

Looking at Rosinante, Ren remembered that the Calm-Calm Fruit he had once wanted to obtain was now eaten by him after all.

But it didn't matter. Now that Uta was one of them, there was nothing to fear, let alone the so-called Sun God.

The problem with Doflamingo's side was that while the Great Serpent Mark could make Rosinante loyal, it wouldn't completely control his consciousness.

In other words, Rosinante was still the same Rosinante. Raised by Sengoku, his values were vastly different from Doflamingo's twisted ones. So when Doflamingo went to great lengths to obtain the Op-Op Fruit, Rosinante still gave that fruit to Law, who was about to die.

Later, Law escaped the Donquixote Pirates' control under Rosinante's ability, and Doflamingo almost killed Rosinante because of it. But unlike the original story, although he fired the gun, he still managed to save Rosinante afterward.

However, Law, who had fled the Donquixote Pirates, didn't know about this.

This incident upset Doflamingo for quite a while, and Rosinante lost the codename Corazon and was imprisoned in Dressrosa. The outside world, including Sengoku, thought Rosinante was dead.

Because he was unhappy, Doflamingo wanted to vent his emotions on the Celestial Dragons, so he directly led his subordinates to rob the ships transporting the Heavenly Tribute, almost losing his position as a Seven Warlord because of it.

But he didn't care. Since it was "almost," it meant he hadn't lost it yet. Holding the secret of the Great Kingdom, he didn't care at all about the World Government's warnings.

At worst, he wouldn't rob again in the future. Anyway, the money he robbed this time couldn't be returned.

This made the Five Elders, who had just spent a huge sum, scratch their heads again.

Annoying! No money!

Those lazy Celestial Dragons wouldn't understand their troubles. When the time came, they would eagerly ask for money.

For the Marines and the World Government, troubles came one after another. Besides Doflamingo, who gave them headaches, Yamato of Inazuma also made them very troubled.

During this period, Yamato's bounty had increased a lot, not because she had gained the power of the Spoon-Spoon Fruit, but because every time she appeared, she loudly proclaimed herself the daughter of the Raiden Shogun.

That was the daughter of the Raiden Shogun!

Just that title alone was enough to set her bounty at over a billion. And with Yamato's great strength, possessing all three types of Haki, her bounty soared directly to two billion, becoming the highest-bountied Yonko Commander. Even Enel was suppressed by her.

In the Marines' view, this matter was quite credible. After all, Yamato was a member of Inazuma and wouldn't speak nonsense. Since the Raiden Shogun didn't refute it, it was likely true.

Only Black Maria was most speechless.

Yamato's brain was a bit scrambled.

The daughter of the Raiden Shogun? Thanks, but whose daughter would ask her father to "use force" whenever she had free time?

What? An adopted daughter? Then it's fine!

Actually, Yamato wasn't even considered an adopted daughter; it was completely her own imagination.

Black Maria knew the whole story. Back on Onigashima, Yamato had become obsessed with the Raiden Shogun because of the manga brought by Orochi. She always wanted to become the Shogun.

So after setting sail, she originally wanted to say she was Ren, but Ren wasn't that short-lived Oden, so Yamato naturally couldn't call herself that.

So she simply said she was Ren's daughter, meaning she wanted to inherit Ren's will.

Good grief, now she's really become a vagrant.

I wonder if Teacher Kaido would be sad when he found out, or perhaps he was already used to it?

…

Soon, another few years passed.

Sea Circle Calendar 1517, five years before Luffy, that second-generation, set sail.

This year, An and Ace left the Red Hair Pirates and started sailing alone. The siblings had been apprentices on Shanks' ship for so many years, and after establishing their own pirate crew, they cut through the wind and waves, singing victory songs all the way, quickly making a name for themselves.

Not long after, Ren saw their wanted posters.

"Ah, it's that guy!" The fifteen-year-old Sabo shouted immediately after seeing Ace's wanted poster. Although Ace had grown a lot, he was still recognized at a glance.

"That guy has already set sail alone! And he has a bounty. Doesn't that mean I've lost to him?" Sabo shouted defiantly. "Lord Ren, let me set sail too!"

"Calm down. It's just a year or two late; you don't need to care. Truly capable people can catch up quickly even if they start a bit slow," Ren advised.

"But I feel I'm already very strong," Sabo said dejectedly.

Actually, his strength was already quite good. With the Demon King Armament, he could handle most enemies. But his mentality was still lacking.

"Alright then. Since you want to set sail so much, go apprentice under Buggy first. After all, he was the one who recruited you as an apprentice back then." Ren didn't hesitate to throw Sabo to Buggy.

A fifteen-year-old brat was just in his rebellious phase; let Buggy deal with the headache himself.

But he restricted Sabo's use of the Demon King Armament. Sabo's strength was still in its growth phase; relying too much on the Demon King Armament wasn't a good thing.

This kind of thing was best used when his strength was near its critical point.

After Sabo returned to the Buggy Pirates, he immediately turned the crew upside down. At his age, he couldn't sit still, pestering Buggy every day to go cause trouble on the high seas.

"Hey Buggy, let's attack a Marine base!" Sabo shouted. "That Ace has become a Supernova; I need to step up too!"

Buggy was stunned and immediately roared:

"I'm not going! Are you an idiot?"

Attack a Marine base? Only this brat could come up with such a thing. They were pirates; why actively provoke the Marines?

"What? Aren't you a Yonko like Lord Ren? How can you not even dare to attack a Marine base?" Sabo looked contemptuous.

"You really are a fool," Uta, the slender beauty, spread her hands and mocked. "This isn't about strength at all. And even if we talk about strength, even a Yonko isn't a match for the Marines."

It wasn't that the Buggy Pirates lacked the strength to take a Marine base; they had long passed the stage of fighting and killing.

Now that Buggy was already a Yonko, to gain a foothold on the high seas, he still needed to understand worldly customs. Even when facing the Marines.

No, rather, precisely because the other party was the Marines, he should do so even more.
