Chapter 2 - 2. The Flame Fruit

◉◉◉◉◉

"The Red Sun, huh? Whatever a bullshit title."

"Survive my punch and prove it."

A was not intimidated by Jin's reputation or achievements. On the contrary, his fighting spirit only burned brighter. With a burst of speed, he lunged forward and drove a fist straight toward Jin.

Jin's expression did not change.

His pupils turned crimson, three black tomoe spinning into view as everything in front of him slowed and sharpened into perfect clarity.

The Sharingan.

The bloodline limit of the Uchiha clan, one of the three great visual techniques of this world.

Jin's powerful ocular chakra pushed the Sharingan's dynamic vision to its absolute limit.

No matter how fast A was, his movements could not escape Jin's eyes.

Jin stepped back with one leg, lowered his center of gravity, and calmly threw a punch of his own to meet A head-on.

"Meeting force with force, Perfect!"

A grinned inwardly.

Although his Lightning Release Chakra Mode was not as balanced as his father's and leaned more toward speed enhancement, it still granted terrifying strength and defense.

In a direct clash of power, A had never feared anyone.

With disdain in his heart, he poured even more force into his punch.

The two fists rushed toward each other.

Compared to A's lightning-wrapped arm, Jin's fist looked almost delicate.

But just before they collided, flames suddenly erupted across Jin's knuckles.

"Fire Fist~"

Jin spoke softly.

The ground beneath his feet shattered as blazing heat exploded from his arm.

A massive fist of flame engulfed A in an instant.

The orange inferno hurled him backward dozens of meters, uprooting trees, carving a scorched trench across the earth before finally slamming him into the forest.

Boom!!

"Brother!"

"Lord A!"

Killer Bee and the Cloud shinobi cried out in disbelief.

They could hardly accept that A had been pushed back in a direct clash of strength.

"Nothing is surprising about it," Jin said, shaking his aching hand. "Fire's nature has always been heat and explosive force."

Though his tone remained relaxed, Jin had grown more cautious.

A lived up to his reputation as the most reckless powerhouse in the shinobi world.

Jin was not originally from this world.

An accident had brought him here, reborn into the Uchiha clan as an orphaned jonin.

The past no longer mattered.

According to the original course of history, becoming a Uchiha was practically a doomed beginning.

Outside, the Hokage faction led by Hiruzen Sarutobi and the shadow manipulator Danzo constantly suppressed the clan.

Inside, arrogant and short-sighted clansmen kept courting disaster.

Worse still, several unstable fanatics lurked within the clan, capable of erupting at any moment.

Jin's situation could hardly be summarized with a single word like difficult.

Fortunately, his rebirth had occurred early.

The night of the clan's annihilation was still far away.

There was still time to change fate.

And like every traveler, Jin had been granted a cheat.

Not a powerful bloodline, not divine talent.

Only a single treasure from another world.

The Flame Fruit.

Yes.

The same Flame Fruit that once the pirate king's son once used.

A Logia type, The Flame Flame Fruit.

In simple terms, it granted control over fire.

To command flames, to become one with flames.

Because its previous user, Fire Fist Ace, had failed to fully realize its potential and died at the hands of the Magma Fruit's wielder, many dismissed it as weaker compared to other fruits in One Piece World

But Jin did not share that view.

To him, this power was more than enough.

Although pirate lore placed the Magma Fruit above the Flame Fruit, Jin believed the two were far closer than most imagined.

Both magma and fire shared the same fundamental traits.

Violence, Heat, Destructive force.

Because magma was physical matter, its explosive impact was indeed greater.

But in terms of temperature, fire held an overwhelming advantage.

Magma's peak temperature barely exceeded fourteen hundred degrees.

Fire, on the other hand, could continue rising endlessly through heat accumulation, the flame's color changed as the temperature increased

In theory, there was no upper limit.

In Jin's previous world, special methods had heated flames beyond five hundred million degrees, thirty times hotter than the core of the sun itself.

The difference was beyond comparison.

The Flame Fruit carried nearly infinite potential.

Fire had never been weak.

Just like that old man in a neighboring world who wielded flames and was capable of incinerating anything with flames as hot as the sun's core

So feared was his power that every time he appeared in a fight, people feared that he would destroy the world.

The weakness had never been the Flame Fruit.

It had only been Fire Fist Ace.

Having lived through an age of information, Jin understood the Flame Fruit far better than Ace ever had.

Combined with the native power systems of this world, he would never disgrace this ability.

And this single fruit gave him the confidence to change everything.

For years, Jin had remained hidden.

Quietly strengthening himself.

Cultivating allies.

Building influence.

Gathering resources.

Slowly stockpiling the power needed to reshape this world.

Now, with the Third Great Ninja War nearing its end, his preparations were complete.

He could hardly wait to bring the war to a swift conclusion and finally begin leaving his mark upon this world.

"Minato, the Eight Tails' host is yours. Try to capture him alive."

Jin exhaled slowly and turned to Minato.

Minato's speed was unmatched, and thanks to Kushina Uzumaki, he was exceptionally skilled in sealing techniques.

He was the ideal choice to handle Killer Bee.

In the original history, Minato died sealing the Nine Tails.

But the Eight Tails was no Nine Tails.

In a true battle, it could not even match half of Kurama's strength.

And truth be told, Minato's death had likely been a choice.

By that point, the Nine Tails was already largely restrained, and Leaf reinforcements were close at hand.

Even villages far weaker in sealing arts had managed to subdue rampaging tailed beasts.

Could the Leaf, heirs to the Uzumaki legacy, truly fail to seal a fox already under control?

In the end, Minato had simply chosen to shoulder everything himself.

"Understood, leave him to me."

Minato flashed a bright, confident smile.

"Then let us end this quickly."

As Jin spoke, roaring flames surged across his body.

He launched himself toward A's position in a blazing arc.
