Chapter 1 - The Dark Night

Chapter1: The Dark Night

The fairy world had never truly known darkness—until that night.

A silver moon hung low above the glowing forests, its light thin and trembling, as if afraid to touch the earth. The usual shimmer of fairy lanterns dimmed, and the air, once sweet with flower-dust and laughter, grew quiet. Wings that normally sparkled like dew now beat softly, cautious and slow.

Deep within the Moonwillow Woods, shadows moved where they should not exist. Ancient trees whispered to one another, their roots tightening beneath the soil. Even the stars seemed to blink away, hiding from something unseen.

Liora, a young fairy of the dawn, stood at the edge of the Crystal River. Its waters, once bright enough to mirror dreams, had turned dark as ink. She felt it then—the change. Magic itself was holding its breath.

Legends spoke of The Dark Night, a time when the fairy world would be tested, when light would weaken and courage would matter more than spells. Few believed it was real. Fewer still were ready. As a cold wind swept through the land, Liora lifted her glowing wings and stepped forward. If the dark had come for the fairy world, then the fairy world would rise to meet it.

And so, beneath a frightened moon, the first spark of hope was born.
