Yuuya allowed himself to be dragged by Kaibi Gokusai to a secluded park bench.
"You can stop running. There are no more strange gazes," Yuuya said, wiping a bead of sweat from his forehead.
"Takahashi-senpai, it was too rash of you to propose to me in public like that!" Kaibi scolded, releasing his hand. She turned around, hands clasped behind her back, and smiled sweetly.
"Although I can't accept your proposal immediately... we can start as friends."
"No problem. Friends is a good start," Yuuya agreed with a smile.
He scratched his sideburns, his eyes scanning the perimeter.
'Is there an ambush? A sniper?'
He checked his map. No red dots. No hidden enemies.
'Strange. Why lure me here if not to attack?'
"Are you thirsty, Senpai? Should I buy you a drink?" Kaibi pointed to a vending machine a few meters away.
While pointing, her beautiful eyes analyzed him.
'This guy defeated Accelerator. He's been hiding as a Level 0 for years. He is dangerous.'
'I shouldn't offend him until I know his true strength.'
"No need. Let me treat you. And I don't need money."
Yuuya looked at the vending machine.
'I just got Move Point (Coordinate Movement). Let's test it.'
He visualized the coordinates of the cold soda cans inside the machine. He calculated the vector and displacement.
Snap.
Two cold cans of soda materialized instantly in his hands.
[Ability: Move Point (Coordinate Movement)]
Unlike Shirai Kuroko's Teleportation (which requires touch), Move Point allows the user to move objects remotely within their line of sight.
Yuuya quickly assessed his limits.
Maximum weight: 6,580 kg.
Maximum range: 1,200 meters.
'This is stronger than Musujime Awaki.'
Musujime was the strongest known Move Point user, but her trauma (getting stuck in a wall) limited her to 4,520 kg and 800 meters. Without that trauma, she was a candidate for Level 5.
'Wait... if Musujime is a top-tier Level 4... and I'm stronger than her...'
'Does that mean I'm basically a Level 5?'
The classification of Level 5 in Academy City wasn't just about raw power; it was about whether you could defeat a modern army single-handedly.
With the ability to teleport 6 tons of material inside a person's brain from a kilometer away... yes. He was definitely Level 5 class.
"Spatial Teleportation?!"
Kaibi's eyes lit up as she accepted the soda.
"Is your ability Teleportation, Senior?"
There were only 58 spatial users in the entire city. Only 19 could move multiple objects. And moving objects remotely without touch? That was exceedingly rare.
'Intel report said Level 2 Pyrokinesis. The Board lied to us.'
'If Kakine attacked him thinking he was a Pyro, he'd be teleported into concrete before he could blink.'
"No, no. Not Teleportation. Coordinate Movement," Yuuya corrected, looking proud. "I can move anything I see without touching it."
"Wow! That's amazing! Senior just moved two cans without moving a muscle. Are you a Level 4 Great Ability user?"
"Guess~" Yuuya teased.
"It can't be Level 5, can it? None of the seven Level 5s have spatial abilities~" Kaibi probed playfully.
"Indeed. There are only seven public Level 5s," Yuuya said with a half-smile.
He didn't deny it.
"Could there be a... Hidden Level 5 in the shadows?" Kaibi covered her mouth in feigned shock.
'He didn't deny it. And he beat Accelerator.'
'Confirmed. Target is likely the Eighth Level 5.'
'Mission status: Too dangerous for recon.'
Kaibi decided instantly. She wasn't going to fight a Spatial Level 5. If things went south, he could escape instantly—or kill her instantly by teleporting a pebble into her heart.
Even Kakine Teitoku might struggle to catch a teleporter who could move faster than reaction time.
"I'm not sure about that," Yuuya laughed. "Would you like to see a movie with me, Kaibi-chan?"
"I really want to! But... school's over, and I have a curfew. Can we save it for next time?"
Kaibi apologized sweetly, pulling out her phone. "Can we exchange IDs?"
"Of course."
They tapped phones.
"See you later, Takahashi-senpai!"
Kaibi waved goodbye, skipping away with a bounce in her step.
Yuuya watched her leave, his smile fading into a thoughtful expression.
"Interesting... The spy has made her move."
He put his hands in his pockets and walked out of the park, heading toward the Kihara Institute.
"Originally, I had to wait for Nunotaba to come out. But with Move Point... I don't need to wait."
"I can teleport inside."
...
District 15. SCHOOL Hideout.
"Level 5 Coordinate Movement? A superior spatial ability? Heh... this is indeed interesting."
Kakine Teitoku chuckled sinisterly as he listened to Kaibi's report on speakerphone.
"No wonder the commission was so high. A Hidden Level 5."
"Are you still planning to pursue the mission?" Kaibi's voice came through the phone, sounding worried. "Fighting another Level 5 is risky. And with spatial movement, you can't pin him down easily. He can just leave."
