Chapter 53 - Chapter 50: The Angel of the Pure World

Tokiwadai Dormitory. Room 208.

"Waaaah..."

Seeing that her older sister insisted she speak, Shirai Kuroko began to sob.

"I clearly saw Onee-sama on a date! At the family restaurant! That guy fed you ice cream! And when Kuroko walked up to say hello, you pretended not to know me!"

"Onee-sama... do you hate Kuroko now?"

The thought of being abandoned made her chest tighten.

Misaka Mikoto's cheek twitched. Kuroko didn't seem to be lying.

"First... make sure this isn't just wishful thinking, Kuroko."

"Absolutely not! Uiharu was with me! She saw it too!" Kuroko insisted firmly.

"How could that be? I haven't left the dorm all evening. Ask the other students. I was in the common room."

Mikoto crossed her arms.

"But I really saw you..." Kuroko sniffled, doubt creeping in. "Could it be a prank by a Mental User?"

Mikoto's eyes narrowed.

A mental prank?

The image of a certain blonde girl with starry eyes popped into her head.

Shokuhou Misaki.

Since enrolling, that "Queen" had been a thorn in her side. She loved messing with Mikoto, giving her nicknames like "Electric Princess" or "Violent Dragon."

'I really want to shove that starry-eyed head down a drain,' Mikoto thought darkly.

"Wait..." Kuroko scratched her head, realizing something was off.

"Now that I think about it... That 'Onee-sama' had a different temperament. Her eyes were blank. And... she was wearing Goggles around her neck."

"Goggles?" Mikoto blinked. "I don't own goggles."

"And she called herself Misaka in the third person. 'DO, Misaka asks...'"

Kuroko gasped.

"Could she be Onee-sama's younger sister?!"

"I don't have a sister! I'm an only child!" Mikoto shouted quickly.

'It must be Shokuhou. She's messing with Kuroko's head using Mental Out.'

"Okay, stop. Let's drop this topic. It was a hallucination."

"Okay..." Kuroko replied listlessly. Then she looked up with puppy eyes. "So Onee-sama really didn't have a boyfriend?"

"No! That's just your wishful thinking!"

"And the frog doll?"

"A gift from a friend!"

"Then why were you blushing and angry earlier?"

"UGH! This is so annoying!"

Mikoto roared, sparks flying from her bangs.

"Are you my mother?! Stop nagging me! Are you a walking Encyclopedia of Questions?!"

"HEY! MISAKA!"

A louder, deeper roar echoed from the hallway.

"What are you howling about so late at night?! Do you want to be punished by standing in the hall?!"

"Dormitory Supervisor..."

Mikoto instantly bristled like a frightened kitten. She zipped her mouth shut and dove under her covers.

...

Yuuya's Apartment.

Meanwhile, Yuuya had returned home.

Before coming back, he had taken Shokuhou to see Dolly. The prototype clone was still in the incubation pod, recovering, but the Doctor confirmed the Gene Repair Serum was working.

He then escorted Shokuhou back to the School Garden.

"Fukiyose has probably noticed I skipped cleaning duty again," Yuuya chuckled, opening his fridge. He cracked open a soda.

"And Little Bee... she really believed my 'Gemstone' story."

"Memory is unreliable. An existence like Aleister can overturn not just memories, but emotions, time, and souls."

"But I didn't lie. Technically, those were my memories. Just... curated."

Yuuya finished the drink. Just as he was about to head to the shower, the air in his living room shifted.

Hum.

A static charge filled the room.

A humanoid halo manifested in front of him.

Yuuya tensed. His eyes narrowed.

"What is this?"

The halo condensed into a blurry shadow. Above the shadow's head floated a golden ring, radiating a soft, pale light. It looked like a biblical angel, but without the warmth of salvation. It was a being of pure mathematics and energy.

It looked like a mosaic of light threads woven together.

"Aiwass..."

Yuuya held his breath.

Aiwass was the entity behind Aleister. The "Dragon" of the Pure World.

"Takahashi? I hope it is alright if I call you that."

A voice echoed in the room. It sounded muffled, like a broadcast from a broken radio, yet it vibrated inside his skull.

"Since we are meeting alone, I do not think I need to introduce myself."

"My sudden appearance didn't surprise you. Did you already know I was coming by reading the information of Spacetime?"

"Why do you think I can read Spacetime, Aiwass?"

Yuuya's eyes glinted. He remained calm.

Currently, Aiwass was just a "Spirit" without a medium (like Fuse Kazakiri or Accelerator). He had no physical power to harm Yuuya here. He was just a projection.

"Do I really need to explain?"

Aiwass's voice carried a hint of amusement.

"I have seen your Essence."

The golden halo pulsed.

"It is a level half a rank higher than any Magic God. It touches the concept of 'Omniscience and Omnipotence'."

"This 'Half-Rank' is a position that Magic Gods like Othinus can never reach. Only the Biblical God—the one who created the concept of 'Phases'—stands there."

"Therefore, it is not surprising that you can do this."

"..."

Yuuya remained silent.

'He sees it.'

Aiwass didn't see the System interface.

What Aiwass saw was the Star Grail itself.

It wasn't an item hiding in an inventory. It was fused with his very soul. Yuuya was the vessel of the Star Grail—the Concept of the "One True God" from the world of No Game No Life.

His body didn't just contain power; it existed as a singularity that superseded the laws of physics and magic. That was why Accelerator's vectors vanished upon touching his skin. They were trying to apply the laws of physics to a being who defined the laws.

"So," Yuuya finally spoke, leaning back. "What does a Being of the Pure World want with me?"
