Chapter 41 - EYES OF HEAVEN

After the battle with the Architects and the quiet rewriting of Earth's balance, the world finally felt calm again.

The planet breathed in steady rhythms—winds moving naturally, oceans flowing in stable currents, and life continuing without the distortions that had once threatened it. The alignment Raiyen created held perfectly.

Raiyen stood quietly beneath the open sky.

A faint glow of black flame still lingered within his chest, subtle and controlled, a quiet reminder of the power that had reshaped the planet. Around him, the air felt calm, almost peaceful.

Yet someone watching carefully could sense something different.

From the shadows nearby, Korrin observed the sky with narrowed eyes.

"Earth is calm," she murmured, "but something feels wrong."

At first, nothing seemed unusual.

Then the sky shimmered.

It wasn't a storm, nor a burst of light or thunder. Instead, the air above the world distorted slightly—as if existence itself had become aware of something watching.

Raiyen paused.

The feeling was faint, but unmistakable.

"…This presence," he whispered quietly, "feels familiar."

Across the world, living beings began to feel a strange awareness. It wasn't fear or pain—just the quiet sensation of being observed by something far beyond them.

A presence from the heavens.

Veyra felt it instantly.

"…This divine aura," she said softly, "is beyond anything we understand."

Far above the world, beyond ordinary space and time, something immense stirred.

In the boundless realm of the heavens stood a throne that seemed to stretch endlessly through layers of existence. Upon it stood the God of Light, surrounded by an overwhelming white-gold radiance.

His form was both singular and infinite.

His eyes—countless and layered with endless patterns—moved across reality itself, observing every world, every timeline, every thread of possibility.

Among them, one point held his focus.

Earth.

And one name.

"Raiyen," the God of Light murmured quietly.

"You have broken your limits."

His gaze examined the planet carefully.

He saw the faint residue of black flames within its systems, the subtle rewriting of planetary balance, and the complete disappearance of the Architects' influence.

Everything had been erased with precision.

No chaos.

No destruction.

Only control.

The God of Light tilted his head slightly.

"…Balance achieved through restraint," he whispered to himself. "Unusual."

His countless eyes studied Raiyen more closely.

The origin of the Soul Flame.

The observation threads created by the Rinnega Eyes.

The existence of multiple fully real clones acting in perfect coordination.

And the strange pattern of suppressed power—potential carefully held back rather than unleashed.

"…This level was not expected," he admitted quietly.

Below, on Earth, Raiyen's eyes narrowed slightly.

He couldn't see the heavens directly, but he could feel it.

Something divine was observing.

"…There's a presence," he said under his breath.

Korrin's voice turned serious.

"That force," she said, "was the same one watching over the system before. The one that allowed the Devourer to exist."

"And now," she added, "you've bypassed it."

Back in the heavens, the God of Light raised one hand.

The sky above Earth rippled faintly.

The world itself remained stable, but a subtle pressure passed through reality like a distant echo.

"This being," the God of Light said slowly, "whether human… or something beyond…"

"If he becomes fully aware of his potential…"

His aura shifted, sending faint waves through the heavens themselves.

"…the balance of the universe could change."

Within the celestial realm, other presences responded.

Whispers of ancient entities moved through the endless light.

"Observe."

"Intervene only if the threshold is crossed."

The God of Light listened.

"…The threshold," he replied quietly, "is approaching."

On Earth, however, Raiyen did not panic.

He simply looked up at the sky.

"…Whoever is watching," he murmured, "is still only an observer."

The faint glow of black flame around his chest dimmed further, remaining controlled so the planet stayed completely safe

.

"I'm being watched," he said calmly.

"But I'm ready."

Nearby, Aira felt the anchor symbol connected to Raiyen pulse gently. The presence in the sky made her uneasy, and Veyra could feel the difference in power immediately.

"This aura," Veyra said quietly, "is on an entirely different level from ours."

Raiyen reassured them.

"He's only watching," he said. "There hasn't been any interference yet."

Far above, the God of Light continued observing.

His voice drifted softly through the heavens.

"Raiyen… your time will come."

"But first…"

"I will watch."

On Earth, nothing visibly changed.

The sky remained clear.

The planet remained calm.

Yet beneath that calm lay a subtle tension, as if the entire universe had become aware that something extraordinary had been noticed by the heavens themselves.

Korrin stepped closer to Raiyen and looked up at the sky.

"This is the moment," she said quietly.

"The moment when the universe's observer finally noticed you."

Raiyen spread his stance slightly, steady and prepared.

The last traces of black flame withdrew into silence, leaving only his awareness behind.

His voice was low but certain.

"…Now the real test begins."
