Chapter 19 - Chapter 19 Raikou Takes Care of the Baby

[Your initiative to help has greatly shocked Raikou, who harbors wariness and prejudice towards humans.]

[Shock Points from Raikou +50!]

A message appeared on the panel, but Fuyuki paid it no mind. More intrigued than the incident itself was how Raikou had gotten injured.

Or rather, what kind of being could possibly harm it?

A Pokémon? No, it must be a human.

The scene from the movie Raikou, the Legend of Thunder, where Team Rocket attempts to capture Raikou, immediately flashed through Fuyuki's mind.

Only Team Rocket could threaten Raikou.

Raikou's eyes flickered, seemingly still reeling from the scene.

But soon, a thunderclap instinctively echoed in its mind.

What are this human's intentions?!

Raikou's gaze, sharp as lightning, shot towards the human cub before it.

However, after healing the wound on its arm, the creature obediently lay back down, snuggling against its fur, and closed its eyes to continue sleeping.

What audacity!

This brat dared to be so insolent!

Normally, Raikou would have stormed off and reprimanded the creature for its presumptuous behavior.

But… the image of the creature healing its wound flashed through its mind, and it silently shut its mouth.

The moonlight outside the cave was bright, and Raikou's heart gradually calmed down.

It looked down at the human cub curled up beside it, sleeping, and a complex feeling welled up inside it.

This was the first time it had been so close to a human.

The sleeping human cub looked harmless, unlike the treacherous and cunning humans it had encountered before.

"…" Silence fell that night.

The next morning, when Fuyuki opened its eyes, Raikou was nowhere to be found.

Fuyuki rubbed his eyes. Just as he was about to go outside to check, Raikou walked in, carrying a few tree fruits in his mouth.

Seeing him looking at him, Raikou coldly spoke through telepathy, "Don't overthink it. I'm just worried you'll starve to death and I won't be able to explain to Entei."

Fuyuki: "..."

Why did that sound oddly familiar?

However, Fuyuki didn't care. Even if Raikou didn't bring him food, he could buy it from the shop using his Shock Points.

He currently had a full 205 Shock Points.

Compared to three months ago, that was a considerable sum.

Perhaps it was the farming gene in his earthly physique acting up, but Fuyuki always felt a strong urge to grow something here.

Since he had decided to stay and live in Mount Tensei, he should slowly start improving his surroundings.

Leaving aside building a home, just finding tree fruits every day would take a lot of effort.

If another famine struck and they couldn't find food in the wild, they would truly starve to death.

Instead of waiting for the trees to bear fruit and relying on the weather, it's more reliable to plant it yourself.

While eating tree fruit, Fuyuki browsed the system shop, searching for planting-related items.

Opening the shop, a Q-version farmland, similar to those in QQ Farm, came into view.

[Farmland: A 9x9 plot of land with extremely high-quality soil. Any crop can thrive in it. Can be placed anywhere. Exchange fee: 5000 Shock Points.]

Too expensive… pass. Besides, tree fruit isn't picky about soil quality; as long as the land isn't too barren, they can grow normally.

"Hmm, let me see what tree fruit seeds the shop has…"

Sitrus Berries, Oran Berries, Pecha Berries, and even rarer ones like Liechi Berries, Ganlon Berries, and Salac Berries. The selection was surprisingly complete.

Beyond Berries, there were all kinds of crop seeds for sale too.

Wheat, corn, soybeans, and then hops, cabbage, strawberries, pumpkins. The variety was impressive.

What really caught his eye, though, was the fact that the shop sold different growth stages of the same crop.

[Sitrus Fruit Seed: Planted in the soil and carefully nurtured, it will grow into a Sitrus fruit tree after a period of time. Exchange Requirement: 100 Shock Points.]

[Sitrus Fruit Seedling: A tender seedling, saving the time from germination to sprouting. It can be directly buried in the soil and carefully nurtured to grow into a towering tree. Exchange Requirement: 400 Shock Points.]

[Sitrus Fruit Tree: A fully grown Sitrus fruit tree. After planting, you can harvest Sitrus fruit the very next day. Exchange Requirement: 1000 Shock Points.]

If he could directly buy a Sitrus fruit tree, wouldn't that mean he could immediately own a fruit-bearing tree?

Fuyuki was incredibly tempted, but unfortunately, looking at his remaining balance, he felt powerless.

"Sigh, forget it, I'll just plant the fruit myself first!" Fuyuki thought to himself.

He'd been saving up the leftover tree fruit seeds from the past few days, planning to plant them later and have them sprout by autumn.

This way, he could save some Shock Points.

After all, there were so many things that cost Shock Points.

From building a home, buying furniture, wallpaper, and flooring, to building an eco-park and placing an artificial sun…

Fuyuki even planned to use Rare Candies to raise Entei to Level 100 before his tenth birthday and subsequent travels.

That way, they could be invincible and wouldn't have to worry about encountering any insurmountable dangers.

Staying in Mount Tensei forever was impossible. As a Pokémon enthusiast, Fuyuki had always longed for the Pokémon world in his past life.

He was determined to go and see it, to visit Pallet Town and Ash, and to check off some of the more famous story locations.

And since Entei also needed to go out to complete its mission, he would travel with Entei and fulfill its mission together.

As for returning home…

Fuyuki's gaze lingered on an item at the bottom of the shop.

[Teleportation Device: A magical device infused with the power of Palkia, the God of Space. Place it at a base, and you can teleport back anytime, anywhere using the attached teleportation bracelet. Safe and reliable. Exchange required: 100,000 Shock Points.]

They could then place this teleportation device in this cave on Mount Tensei and return whenever they wanted.

However, Fuyuki's gaze fell on the Shock Points required to exchange for the teleportation device.

Fuyuki: "..."

"Sigh! How can I earn Shock Points faster?"

Fuyuki couldn't help but let out a long sigh, then lay back weakly on the leaf bed that Entei had prepared for him.

Raikou: "?"

Fuyuki's brain raced.

He was very young now, and his appearance was harmless and very deceptive. Moreover, after spending time together, neither Entei nor Marshadow could resist his affections.

If he used his appearance to befriend Ho-Oh, and then shamelessly fawned over him, would Ho-Oh be willing to take him for a low-altitude flight over human cities?

Then, as long as people saw him in Ho-Oh's clothes, he'd definitely get a massive amount of Shock Points.

One wasn't enough, so he could fly to several more cities, or even several more regions.

This way, he'd have the funds to start his home base and the Shock Points to instantly level up Emperor 100.
