Chapter 59 - Chapter 59 Professor Oak's Help

After lunch, Professor Oak, amidst the expectant gazes of the children, began leading them to observe the wild Pokémon inhabiting the area.

Among them were Fuyuki, Ash, and Serena.

However, unlike Ash and Serena, Fuyuki seemed somewhat uninterested in Professor Oak's introduction.

"Fuyuki, did you really grow up with Pokémon?" Ash couldn't help but ask.

"Of course."

"What's it like living with Pokémon?" Ash asked longingly, "Waking up in the morning to see Pokémon's faces and playing with them every day, is that what life is like?"

"More or less!" Fuyuki nodded with a smile.

"Wow!" Ash's eyes lit up with excitement: "I want to live with Pokémon too!"

"Ash…" Serena tugged at Ash's sleeve. In her eyes, Fuyuki had lost his parents at a young age and was raised by Pokémon; he was so pitiful, and Ash's reaction was wrong.

"It's okay, Serena." Fuyuki naturally understood Serena's meaning.

"Huh?" Serena paused slightly.

Ash looked at the two of them speaking in cryptic terms, completely puzzled.

"Hey, what are you talking about?" he immediately asked.

"Ash..." Serena glanced at Fuyuki walking away with Raikou and whispered to Ash, "Fuyuki doesn't have a mom or dad, he can only live in the mountains with his Pokémon, it's so pitiful!"

After Serena's reminder, Ash immediately understood.

He stood there thinking carefully for a moment, then ran after Fuyuki and called out, "Fuyuki!"

"What's wrong?"

"By the way, do you want to come live with Raikou at my house? My house is very big, with many rooms, and it's just me and my mom there!" Ash invited.

Fuyuki hadn't expected this question. He paused for a moment, then smiled and shook his head. "Thank you, Ash, but no need. My dad and I have our own home, so we won't bother you!" "

I see..." Ash was a little worried.

"But... is it really okay?"

Hearing this, Raikou glared at Ash with displeasure.

With them around, what problem could the little guy have?

"Don't worry, maybe we'll see each other again in the future!" Fuyuki knew very well that when Ash turned ten, Ho-Oh would give him a Rainbow Feather . And Ash would go to Mt. Tensei with his friends to participate in the Rainbow Hero's Trial.

"What are you talking about?"

Professor Oak's voice came from not far away.

Raikou was a rare legendary Pokémon, and if they missed this opportunity, who knew when they would see Raikou again!

Therefore, Professor Oak symbolically introduced the surrounding Pokémon to the children before running over to Ash and Fuyuki.

"We're inviting Fuyuki to live in Pallet Town!" Ash replied.

"Fuyuki doesn't have parents and has lived in the mountains with his Pokémon since he was little. They're so pitiful, Professor Oak!"

"I see!" Professor Oak looked at the neatly dressed, very clean boy, thinking that Fuyuki didn't seem like the kind of wild man who had always lived in the wilderness.

Could it be that Raikou would go out of his way to find him human clothes?

However, Professor Oak didn't dwell on this matter for too long, since Ash's question was indeed valid.

He looked at Fuyuki and Raikou and asked, "By the way, Fuyuki, you said you were found by Raikou in Viridian Forest?"

"Yes." Fuyuki didn't mention that he was actually found by Entei.

"Do you know how old you are this year?" Professor Oak asked again.

"Just turned seven."

"So, you're a few months younger than Ash!" Professor Oak smiled at Ash.

Ash: "Professor Oak, I'll definitely take good care of Fuyuki!"

Fuyuki: "..."

"Alright, alright, it's like this." Professor Oak turned to Fuyuki and said, "The Kanto League takes special care of children with special identities like yours. If you want to return to the human world, I can help you apply to the League, and then you and Raikou can move to Pallet Town and live with us."

"No need, Professor Oak." Fuyuki shook his head and refused.

"Hmm?" Professor Oak was slightly taken aback.

"My dad isn't used to life in the human world." Fuyuki looked at Raikou beside him and added, "Besides, we're very happy living here now."

"Alright then." Professor Oak was quite helpless. He thought carefully for a moment and then said, "If you need any help in the future, you can come to Professor Oak's lab in Pallet Town to find me."

Hearing this, Fuyuki's heart stirred slightly: "Really?"

They had always lived in the wild and had no identity in the human world. If they wanted to travel to different places in the future, an identity document would be essential.

For example, in the original series, Ash used his Pokédex to prove his identity to Nurse Joy.

Perhaps Professor Oak could help with this in the future.

Hearing this question, Professor Oak smiled and nodded, "Of course."

Then, as if remembering something, he added,

"Oh, by the way, why don't you join us for this summer camp? After camp, I'll take you to Pallet Town."

"Later, when you turn ten, you can come to my lab like Ash and the others to receive a starter Pokémon and a Pokédex." Consider it a thank you gift to you for letting me observe and study Raikou!

Ecological data on a legendary Pokémon, and its special relationship with Kyo, are incredibly valuable in the Pokémon academic world.

"Yay!" Fuyuki couldn't help but cheer, then asked, "Is it Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle?"

"Hmm?" Professor Oak was surprised that Fuyuki knew. He smiled and nodded, "That's right. These three Pokémon are easy to get along with, making them very suitable for new trainers. That's why the Kanto League gives them to trainers as starter Pokémon."

"However... it seems not all kids like Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle." Professor Oak said with some difficulty, "I even met a kid who asked me if we had any Meowth to pick up!"

Mentioning starter Pokémon, not only Fuyuki but also Ash seemed very excited.

"By the way, Fuyuki, which Pokémon are you going to choose? As for me... I'll choose a Charmander that can use fire attacks!" Ash said dreamily, "How about we have a Pokémon battle then?"

Fuyuki thought to herself that Ash wouldn't be able to choose any of them. Even if there were extra starter Pokémon, Professor Oak probably wouldn't give them to Ash, because Professor Oak had prepared a Pikachu specifically for him.

After all, Professor Oak had personally witnessed Ash and Pikachu as a pair when he traveled through time as a child.
