The receptionist immediately looked up and recognized her, her expression becoming respectful.
"Madam Miriam."
"Is my husband in his office?"
The receptionist shook her head. "No, Madam. Alpha Gerald is currently in a meeting."
Miriam's brows drew together slightly. "A meeting?"
"Yes, Madam. It started earlier this morning."
"How long will it take?"
The receptionist glanced briefly toward the information displayed on her screen before answering carefully. "It may take another four hours or so. It's an important meeting, and I don't believe it will be ending anytime soon."
Miriam stared at her for a moment, surprised by the length of time. Four hours was far longer than she had expected, especially considering how urgently she needed to speak with Gerald.
"What about Liam?" she asked, hoping that at least her son might be available.
The receptionist checked the records again before giving her the same answer.
"Young Master Liam is in the meeting as well."
