Dimitri and Sera settled into their seats, greeting the family warmly.
"Good morning, Mother. Good morning, Father," Kade and Dakota responded.
Everyone's attention drifted to Cooper, who was eating slowly but steadily. The color had returned to his cheeks, and his eyes were brighter than they had been in days.
Sera stirred her porridge thoughtfully. "Kade, there's still no news?"
Kade shook his head. "None so far. I'm waiting for Marcus to send another report, but we haven't been able to locate the witch."
The table fell quiet for a moment. They had done everything in their power—searched the entire Cross Estate, interrogated the servants, reviewed every record—and still, nothing.
"Have you searched the entire estate?" Dimitri asked.
"Combed through it," Kade confirmed. "We've interrogated everyone. The only new information we uncovered is that the Cross family has an adopted daughter, but nothing about her schedule or background is suspicious."
