Chapter 37 - Chapter 37

While Igarashi Masata was eliminating villains on his side of the battlefield, the fighting across the rest of USJ was also reaching its peak.

Bakugo Katsuki and Kirishima Eijiro, who had been teleported to the ruins zone, were among the strongest combatants in Class A. After an intense exchange, the two successfully defeated the villains in their area.

"Let's move out immediately!" Kirishima said, wiping the sweat from his face, his eyes blazing with determination.

"From where we are, the other students should still be inside USJ. I'm worried about those who don't have strong offensive abilities!"

"Tch. If you want to save someone, save yourself," Bakugo scoffed, explosions crackling faintly around his palms.

"I'm going to find that bastard covered in hands."

"And if the villains are all trash like this," he continued coldly, "then there's nothing to worry about. Anyone who made it into U.A. won't be taken down by scum like them."

As he spoke, Bakugo blasted forward in a flash of smoke and sparks, launching himself away.

Meanwhile, Shoto Todoroki, who had been teleported alone to the landslide zone, instantly froze the entire area solid. Without wasting a second, he sprinted toward the central plaza.

On the way, he crossed paths with Masata, who was rushing down from the mountain.

"Explosion kid—did you finish off your villains?" Masata asked while running.

"Yes," Todoroki replied calmly. "They were nothing but Quirk-wasters. Since the villains declared they wanted All Might dead, the real threat should be concentrated at the central pool."

He glanced at Masata.

"Are you heading there for support?"

"Yeah… but I'm still worried about the other students," Masata replied after a moment's thought.

"You go ahead to the pool first. I'll check the other zones and catch up."

Without waiting for a response, Masata accelerated and dashed toward a massive pool area ahead.

"Huh? That's…" Masata narrowed his eyes.

"…Izuku?"

A yacht floated near the center of the pool, and a figure in green stood on it. The distance was too great to see clearly, but the color was unmistakable.

At that moment, Midoriya Izuku, Asui Tsuyu, and Minoru Mineta were completely unaware that Masata was approaching. They stared tensely at the dark shapes moving beneath the water's surface.

"It looks like we've been sent to the flood zone," Izuku said quietly, analyzing the situation.

"And we're surrounded by water-type villains."

"But since they haven't attacked yet," he continued, "they probably don't know our Quirks."

"This is our only chance."

Since being acknowledged as Masata's little brother, Mineta was no longer as timid as before. Listening closely, he nodded repeatedly.

"Then let's stay on the boat and wait for backup!"

"Eh?!" Izuku and Tsuyu both stared at him in shock.

Just a moment ago, he'd been listening so seriously—why was he retreating now?

"Izuku! Tsuyu! Mineta! Get inside the boat and hide—now!!!"

Masata's shout thundered from above.

Mineta had spotted him first. Having personally witnessed Masata's overwhelming brutality, Mineta trusted him completely.

As Masata closed in, he could clearly see how many villains were surrounding the yacht. Worried about Aizawa's situation, he decided to wipe them out in a single strike.

He crouched low—then launched himself upward.

With a burst of terrifying leg strength, Masata shot into the air like a rocket. From above, he could see Aizawa Shouta battling a massive number of villains at the central pool.

Raising both arms high, palms facing the sky, Masata shouted and began gathering magma.

Molten rock poured from his hands, spinning violently as it condensed into a blazing sphere nearly five meters in diameter.

The temperature skyrocketed.

The lights of USJ dimmed, drowned out by an overwhelming crimson glow.

A crushing heatwave descended from above.

The villains in the water looked up—only to see something resembling a miniature sun plummeting toward them.

"Comet Impact!!!"

Masata slammed his arms downward.

The massive magma sphere struck the water like a falling star.

A colossal shockwave erupted. The lake surface collapsed inward, forming a massive crater. As water rushed in to fill it, it was instantly vaporized by the extreme heat.

Within seconds, the entire flood zone was engulfed in boiling steam.

The villains were dragged into the scalding whirlpool, their fates unknown.

The yacht was blown backward by the shockwave, sliding rapidly toward shore. Tsuyu immediately wrapped her long tongue around Izuku and Mineta, then leapt powerfully, carrying them safely onto land.

"…So strong," Izuku whispered in disbelief.

"He evaporated an entire lake…"

The water level had visibly dropped, exposing scorched aquatic plants along the edges.

Masata landed atop the cooled magma mass, using it as a foothold before leaping onto the shore.

"You three okay?" he asked casually, shaking off the heat and drying his soaked pants and shoes with residual warmth.

"We're fine!" Izuku replied quickly.

"Did you see anyone else, Igarashi?!"

"From what I know," Masata said, "Momo, Jiro, Kaminari, and Todoroki are all safe. Other than you three, I haven't run into the rest yet."

With the flood zone cleared, Masata turned his attention back toward the central plaza.

The elite villains were gathered there—and only Aizawa Shouta and Thirteen were holding the line.

And at that moment, their situation wasn't good.

Several students who hadn't managed to escape, along with Thirteen, were facing Kurogiri on a raised platform.

"Even physical attacks don't work…" one student muttered helplessly as their blows passed straight through him.

"Iida," Thirteen suddenly said, turning sharply.

"You're fast, right?"

"Yes!" Iida Tenya answered anxiously.

"The alarm hasn't been fully triggered, and there's no signal. One of the villains must be interfering with the security system using their Quirk," Thirteen said quickly.

"Instead of searching blindly, you need to run back and report this directly!"

"But I—" Iida hesitated, fists clenched.

"Hurry!" the other students urged him.

"Only you can do this!"

"Use your Quirk," Thirteen ordered firmly.

"I'll take responsibility."

"I said…" Kurogiri's eerie voice echoed, cutting through the moment.

"…isn't it a little rude to discuss plans right in front of villains?"

"That's because it doesn't matter if you hear us," Thirteen replied coldly.

She spread her gloves wide, revealing the swirling darkness within her palms.

A terrifying gravitational pull erupted.

"If physical attacks don't work—then we'll crush you completely."
