Having cleared the current simulated world, Hiroshi was teleported out from the central data space.
"Congratulations, Mr. Hiroshi. The data you simulated this time is of great significance for our next steps." Screwllum's elegant mechanical voice drifted over, his tone revealing a hint of pleasant surprise.
On Madam Herta's cold, frost-like beautiful face, a rare look of excitement also appeared; it was not just for the data simulated this time, but also an affirmation of his growth. "You performed quite well. I'll give you a reward when we get back~" she spoke with a suggestive undertone.

"Ah, it's you. Why haven't you come to train since then? If you slack off, your strength will regress," Arlan noted. He tilted up his handsome face, looking at Hiroshi, who was now half a head taller than him. Though his face remained rippleless, his inner concern was evident.
"Captain Arlan," Hiroshi responded, conflicted. He couldn't exactly say he had a better way to improve now. Wait! If I were to truly have a duel with Captain Arlan now, what would the result be? "Sorry, Captain Arlan, I've been tied up with Madam Herta's research. If you have time now, how about a spar?"
"Fine. Let's go to the Security Department's training ground. It'll be a good demonstration for the recruits," Arlan agreed without hesitation.
Upon arriving at the training ground, the security personnel stopped their movements to watch. Arlan had frequently held Hiroshi up as an example of dedication, and they were eager to see if the "civilian staffer" was truly as good as the Captain claimed.
"Oh? Section Chief Hiroshi is going to spar with Captain Arlan without protective gear?"
"Thirty seconds would already be impressive for someone with those thin arms."
The two ignored the chatter, each taking a training staff and assuming a combat stance.
Suddenly, both stomped the ground and exploded forward, their figures turning into afterimages.
"Clang!!!"
The massive sound of wood clashing erupted like rolling thunder. Arlan, as a Pathstrider, held his staff with one hand, locked in a stalemate with Hiroshi, who held his with both. Neither gave an inch.
Arlan's eyebrows arched in surprise. "I didn't expect that while you were away, your strength would actually increase. Interesting. Let me see just how much you've improved!"
The spectating security members widened their eyes. "My god! He can actually go toe-to-toe with the Captain!"
Hiroshi, battling Arlan, saw the other's effortless posture and sighed inwardly. As expected, even with my training, there is a gap between an ordinary person and a Pathstrider. But let's see the true gap once the Gene Lock is active!
Without hesitation, he opened the first Gene Lock. His aura surged violently. With a heavy, powerful horizontal sweep, he forced Arlan back several steps. The sudden change left Arlan stunned; the massive force made his palm go numb, nearly sending the staff flying.
The gathering crowd stood in absolute silence, their mouths hanging open in shock at the raw power displayed by the Section Chief.
