WOORI woke up that morning feeling better.
All she did last night was sleep and eat.
Of course, she didn't forget to take her medicine.
She also had porridge for dinner.
After that, she bundled up warmly and slept the entire time.
Thanks to that, her fever didn't last long.
"I feel bad, though," Woori whispered to herself sleepily. "I'm supposed to be here for work."
Oh, well.
It was something she should ponder about later.
For now…
"Breakfast buffet," Woori said excitedly to herself. "I won't miss it for the world—"
Her monologue was interrupted when her phone rang.
It was a call from Park Seoham, so she was forced to pick it up.
"Are you still alive?"
Woori rolled her eyes at Park Seoham's sarcasm. "Unfortunately for you, I survived. In fact, I'm all better now. I'm actually on my way to enjoy the hotel's breakfast buffet."
"Since when did you get excited for buffets? You eat like a bird."
"Seoham-ssi, the Joo Woori in your head is probably outdated already. You should try to get to know the new me and update the image that you have of me. Do you think I'm still the Joo Woori you knew from eleven years ago?"
"No, but I have no interest in getting to know the "new" you."
"Ah, so you just want to be an asshole on purpose?"
"You're even good at cursing now, huh?"
"Sir, you've already confirmed my survival. Can you please continue annoying me later? I don't want to lose my appetite."
"You know you're being rude to your boss right now, don't you?"
"What are you gonna do about it? Fire me?"
"Kwon Ana will pick you up later."
"What?!"
"The filming will be over in a few hours, and we're leaving Jeju as soon as I'm done here. But I can't go there to pick you up."
"I can just go to the airport on my own."
"And what? Get lost again?"
"There are taxis here, or I can just book a ride."
"No."
Haaah.
"Then at least send Cho Inho," Woori whined. She really wanted to pull her hair out of frustration. "You know how awkward I feel around Kwon Ana."
"I know— and that's why I sent her to pick you up."
Woori ended the call immediately.
She'd rather do that than curse at Park Seoham out loud.
Those jerks probably want to give me indigestion.

"YOU LOOK better than I expected."
Woori tried not to flinch, but she couldn't help it.
She was in a good mood this morning because she loved the breakfast buffet.
But when lunch came, Kwon Ana arrived to pick her up.
Since both of them had no appetite— and no intention to eat with each other— they immediately left the hotel.
So, here we are now.
Woori sat in the passenger seat while Kwon Ana was behind the steering wheel.
"You told Park Seoham that I gave you the wrong direction on purpose."
Ah, that was a relief.
The reason Woori felt awkward around Kwon Ana was because Kwon Ana kept pretending to be nice to her.
But now that Kwon Ana's mask had slipped, it suddenly became comfortable.
"Yeah, I snitched," Woori admitted, more relaxed now. "But I only said the truth, Ana-ssi. You got me lost on purpose."
Kwon Ana nodded calmly. "Yes, but I didn't expect you to still be this naïve and dumb after eleven years. You make it easy for me to make fun of you."
"So, did you laugh when Park Seoham confronted you?"
Kwon Ana glared at Woori in the rearview mirror.
"Park Seoham believed me, didn't he?"
"You—"
"Kwon Ana, is bullying me enough to satisfy you?" Woori asked directly. "Wouldn't it benefit you more if you just help me get fired as Park Seoham's manager instead of wasting your time picking on me?"
"You want me to help you get fired? Are you crazy? This is Park Seoham's chance to exact his revenge on you."
"Does it look like Park Seoham is punishing me?"
"What?"
"I got lost, he picked me up. I got sick, he brought me to a hotel and made me rest. I snitched on you, and he believed me right away." Woori smirked, acting arrogant. Yes, she was doing that on purpose to provoke Kwon Ana. "Park Seoham still cares about me, doesn't he?"
"Where's your confidence coming from, Joo Woori?"
"From Park Seoham."
Kwon Ana fell silent for a moment, her face red with anger.
But the silence only lasted for a few seconds.
"Yes, you should be that thick-skinned. After all, you're the daughter of scammers who killed people," Kwon Ana said, and it was the woman's turn to smirk. "Joo Woori, if you really want me to help you get fired, then brace yourself— it won't be a mere "prank" next time."
Woori nodded, and then she closed her eyes since she already got what she wanted. "Be my guest, Kwon Ana."
Unfortunately, that provocation would later come back and bite Woori in the butt.
