Chapter 69 - Honami Treats to a Meal

"Excellent!"

Honami felt so happy she wanted to give him a tight hug, but Ryunosuke quickly dodged awkwardly.

"There are boundaries between men and women, watch your behavior." Ryunosuke said resignedly.

Honami instead pouted. "Back then you even hugged me tightly, we've already done everything that could be done, why do you care now?"

The more Honami spoke, the redder her face became until it felt hot. Clearly she remembered when Ryunosuke helped her out of trouble back then, including the intimate touches between them.

Honami glanced at him shyly, then quickly hid her face again. Very sweet.

The two sat in silence on the park bench, not uttering a single word. Honami turned her face to the side, using her hand as a fan to cool her reddening face, while trying to change the subject.

"The weather is really nice today, hahaha."

As soon as Honami finished speaking, dark clouds suddenly gathered to cover the sky.

"Eh..."

Honami gaped at the sky that suddenly turned overcast. She really couldn't speak. Meanwhile, Ryunosuke held back his laughter beside her.

Honami puffed out her cute cheeks. Even though she was annoyed, she still looked adorable.

"Don't laugh! What's so funny?! Akasaka-kun!!!" Her face reddened with embarrassment and annoyance.

After laughing to his satisfaction, Ryunosuke wiped the tears from the corners of his eyes. "I didn't expect Honami the little angel to have the ability of 'words becoming reality'."

"Whatever you say, immediately happens."

"How about you say this: Akasaka Ryunosuke wins the lottery for 120 million points, so I can pay off my debts."

Ryunosuke laughed heartily, speaking half-seriously and half-jokingly. He really wanted to test whether Honami's luck was truly that good. Besides, there was no harm in trying; who knows it might work? Then his debts would be paid off.

Although he knew it was just a pipe dream, if you don't have dreams, what's the difference between life and a salted fish? So Ryunosuke, who usually didn't believe in superstition, for the first time hoped for Honami's luck to pay off his debts.

Hearing that suggestion, to cheer up Ryunosuke, Honami finally agreed to try to fulfill the man's wish. She closed her eyes, clasped both hands together as if praying.

"Bless Akasaka-kun so he can win the lottery and pay off his debts."

After finishing her prayer, Honami opened her beautiful eyes, just about to speak, she realized Ryunosuke had disappeared...

"Eh eh eh???" Honami made a cute sound. "Where did Akasaka-kun go?"

She immediately looked around.

It turned out Ryunosuke had just come out of the lottery shop with two large bags full of lottery tickets. He spent hundreds of thousands of points on it.

That's right, he believed. He believed in Honami's words.

He held a little hope, what if he won? Wouldn't his debts be immediately paid off? So he invested heavily to gamble.

Ryunosuke returned to Honami, gave her one bag of lottery tickets and said: "Help me scratch them, Honami, see if any hit the grand prize."

Seeing the pile of lottery tickets in his hands, Honami felt very helpless. "Akasaka-kun, please don't waste money. Something like this is impossible, how could you win so quickly?"

Although she said that, Honami still indulged Ryunosuke and helped him scratch those tickets. And so a strange scene occurred in that park. A pair of man and woman crouched on the ground, arranging lottery tickets and scratching them one by one.

Honami's wrist began to feel sore. She said in a resigned tone, "How about we just go home? Akasaka-kun. It's already very late, I'll treat you to dinner."

Ryunosuke didn't care and continued scratching; he insisted on finishing all those tickets. He didn't believe he wouldn't get even a consolation prize today. He was clearly already "heated up". This was no longer about money, but about pride; he had to get something from these tickets.

Seeing his stubbornness, Honami could only accompany him. Before long, all tickets were finished scratching, and not a single prize was won. All of them said "Thank You for Participating".

Ryunosuke clutched his chest. It felt very painful.

(Damn it! Give me even a consolation prize to comfort myself, but why are they all blanks? You really don't want to give me a single point, huh?!)

Ryunosuke was so frustrated his heart ached. He swore to himself! If he dared to touch lottery tickets again, he would... he would... have a son without an anus! Ah, at least in the future he'll only have daughters.

Without Ryunosuke realizing it, in the future he indeed truly only had daughters...

"Let's eat, Akasaka-kun." Honami invited. She was really hungry, her stomach had been growling because she hadn't eaten for half a day.

Ryunosuke nodded in agreement. He helped Honami tidy up the scattered lottery tickets, threw them in the trash, then went to eat. This time Honami was treating as an expression of gratitude for his previous help.

Ryunosuke was still not shy and ordered the most expensive menu, a luxurious dinner costing 3,800 yen. However, Honami didn't mind; she instead expressed gratitude. "Thank you Akasaka-kun for helping me out of trouble back then."

While chewing rice eagerly, Ryunosuke answered with his mouth full, "You're welcome." Then continued eating again.

Honami gave her portion of food to Ryunosuke. Seeing his way of eating like a starving person, she felt sorry. "Actually, how much debt do you have out there that your life looks so miserable like this?"

Ryunosuke was stunned, then wiped the remaining oil on his lips. Seeing that, Honami immediately took out a handkerchief and helped wipe his lips. Their positions were very close, almost touching faces.

Right at that moment, Chihiro passed by and saw this scene. The lunch box in her hands fell to the ground. Her gaze became empty. With stiff movements like a robot, she walked toward Honami.

Honami hadn't noticed anyone else's presence and continued intimately wiping Ryunosuke's lips.

"Geez, don't rush when eating. Look, there's so much oil on your lips."

She took out a new handkerchief from her bag to continue cleaning. She always prepared many items in her bag, including handkerchiefs and bandages.

Chihiro finally stood right before them. With an empty gaze and a voice that sounded like a vengeful ghost, she asked while gritting her teeth:

"Honami-chan! Who... is... he?!!!!"

That scream startled them both. Because of the shock, Honami jerked backward and accidentally landed sitting on Ryunosuke's lap.

Chihiro: "😐"
