Chapter 123 - SURVIVAL 38: OBLIVION

"Despite being dead, leaving the world with a legacy will live in the hearts of every people."

"Hey, girl! What's wrong with you? You're being weird," there's a pretty girl who has violet curly, short hair who approached her.

Heavien is with another girl. She finally remembered her. She's Nyla! One of her best friends at her school.

"Where are we after? Mall or food trip?" a girl with brown eyes, a ponytail, and eyeglasses seemed to be asking them. Nyla is with Anj!

"Let's do arcade first!" A boy approached the three of them with braces, messy hair, and an undone button on his polo. Rishi is enthusiastic when it comes to this stuff.

"Duh? Do you really think we're doing that? By the way, I know a newly opened restaurant near here!" Nyla giggled.

She misses these three! She gave them a big, warm embrace. It seems that she startled them.

"Whoa, whoa. Keep it down. My parents are here. It's embarrassing." – Rishi

"Heavien, are you back to your senses?" – Nyla

"Well, she seems overwhelmed." – Anj

She must have acted strangely previously when she couldn't remember who they were. This was the scene before she encountered Leonthan and went to the school's garden.

So, this is where Author had put her after she won the game. The Earth paused while the nth planet was moving. She watched the three of them chatting. They all seem fine. She's really back in the real world, isn't she?

After observing her new environment, she checked herself. She has no wounds or scars. Her school uniform is neat. She feels great with no physical pain. There's no trace that she just came from a battle for life. She's back to where she used to be. The world seems to stop here on Earth while time runs on the nth planet. She also discovered that the first returning memories are the least important and the last are the most important memories.

"Vien!" She turned to the familiar voice she heard.

Brother!

She ran and hugged him. Oh, how she misses her brother!

"How's our big baby?"

Mama!

She embraced her mother, too. She really misses her warm embrace! "Are you going to hang out with your friends?"

"You'd better get home early before 6 PM. We need to pack our things for tomorrow." Her big brother stated.

He must be referring to a month-long vacation that they have prepared for them to celebrate her academic achievement.

"Your friends have asked permission from me." – Mama

Those three, really.

They informed her mother that they'll hang out together, but she's not yet aware of it. Her mother and brother didn't hold back. They took more pictures that they had toured almost the whole school.

Heavien can't believe this yet. It's like she's dreaming, but she's not. Everything feels surreal. She can't help but cry out of happiness. Who would have known that she would be back in this world?

It felt like she had stayed on the nth planet for several years, so she missed the people and atmosphere too much here on Earth. She'll treasure every second, minute, hour, day, month, and year here with the people she loves.

"Looks like your friends are waiting for you."

She came back to her senses because of what her brother said.

"Don't forget to give us a call or text." Her mother reminded her and kissed her on her cheek.

"Alright!" Heavien replied with a big smile.

They left, and she went to her three friends. They are fond of going to malls, restos, arcades, and cinemas. They all agreed to watch a certain movie at the mall. They are now inside the cinema.

"What's that? Why are we going to watch romance?" Rishi complained.

They already bought the tickets, and they sat in their seats. He complains late.

"Are you kidding? Heavien and I want this movie. You lost to the rock-paper-scissors, right?" Nyla scolded him.

"Well, these movies test your emotional intelligence. Watching romance movies balances well-being. This can help to widen my variety." Anj is being her usual self.

It's always like this; she's no longer astonished. She misses this kind of vibe.

"Tsk. What a bad taste then," Rishi is trying to shrug it off.

"Shhh!" Uh-oh, someone in front shushed them because of the noise they were making.

"Sorry for disturbing you," She apologized in their stead.

And the movie has already begun. Its title is Robolove, as in robot + love. The title may be corny, but many say that the story is good. Its story is about a cyborg man who falls in love with a woman who's a human being. Here, the strength of their love will be tested despite the contradicting worlds they live in.

"Don't leave me, Marco!"

"I will sacrifice my life. I am happy to meet you even for a moment. And to die for you is the thing that I will never regret..."

These are the dialogues from the movie that pierced through her heart.

Uhm, I'm crying…

She wiped her tears and continued watching the big screen.

"It's so good!" They heard a girl's voice. Probably someone from behind their seats.

"The plot is terrible. What kind of robot would fall for a human? You should learn to analyze these kinds of stories, Jezial." That must be the girl's male companion.

"Levi Matthew, nobody asked for your opinion!" And the girl seems upset because of what the guy commented about the movie.

"Tone down your voice. Everyone's staring at us." Another guy spoke. He must be with the two also.

"Ah, hehe. Sorry, Zyk," the first guy apologized.

"Shhh!" This time, Heavien and her friends scolded the three people behind them.

They should reserve their arguments for later.

"We're really sorry," the girl whispered to them.

Heavien didn't know why she was in tears from watching this movie. Recognizing the robot man's line, she suddenly remembered him.

"Miss Luvitos"

"P-Presi?" Heavien was startled when someone called her by her surname.

Their class president, Leonthan Hortaia is here with her in the art room. He entered without knocking while she was organizing some stuff here before eating my lunch.

"Will you eat lunch with me again?"

"H-Huh?"

What's with his weird request?

"Because the last time we did, we got interrupted. I want to make up for it."

Oh, is that what he's thinking? It was about the lunch meal that she and her cooked for him as a thank you gift. They weren't able to talk more because of his class president's work.

"Okay, I can do that."

"And I already told you to stop calling me by my position or my surname, is that clear?"

***

"You know what, you have everything in you." Out of the blue, she opened this topic because she can't help but admire Leonthan's characteristics.

"How come?" he asked while arranging some of the files for the school's upcoming sports festival.

She is one of the managers of the Art Club, which is why she's here with the class president to settle some arrangements.

"You see, you are smart, a good leader, ridiculously rich, kindhearted, have a sense of humor, good at playing the piano, and a lot of girls have a crush on you!" Seems like they were buddies now since she can talk with him like this.

"No, not really."

"Really? Well, if you say so…"

"I don't really have everything. There's this thing that I want badly, but I couldn't get easily."

"What is it?"

"Not 'what' but 'who'"

"Then who?"

"My parents"
