Chapter 66 - Chapter 66: Encountering the Skypiean Shandian tribesmen

Under Mackinley's lead, the group sailed on the argo toward the Forbidden Land.

Along the way, Mackinley hesitated several times as if he wanted to ask something but couldn't bring himself to speak. Beside him, Hera was extremely annoyed by his hesitation and finally couldn't help but ask:

"You haven't said a word the whole way, just looking around curiously. What exactly do you want to ask?"

Mackinley was startled. Realizing his curiosity had been discovered, he stopped looking around and asked directly: "Actually, I'm just a bit curious. What is this Devil Fruit you mentioned, and why did you say Eneru was lucky?"

Hearing that he had been hesitating for so long just to ask this, Hera said crossly: "Why didn't you just ask? It's no secret on the sea. But, I can answer, but do you dare to listen? Aren't you afraid your God will strike you down with a bolt of lightning?"

Hearing that the consequences were so severe, Mackinley quickly waved his hands, indicating he didn't want to hear it anymore.

"Fine, if you want to know, wait until I defeat your God. Knowing too much won't do you any good."

Hera chatted idly, but her attention was already focused on the nearby woods. Suddenly, Hera gave a signal, and Nami stopped the argo. Just as Mackinley was wondering why, Hera spoke toward the woods: "Come out. You've been following me for so long, what's the matter?"

Wapol led the Skypiean Shandian tribesmen out of the woods. He was tall and muscular, with a pair of small white wings on his back and dark red hair. He wore a fierce expression, with tattoos around his left eye and left shoulder. His upper body was bare, a Burn Bazooka was slung across his back, and he wore a grass skirt on his lower body.

Wapol said: "I saw you deflect God's lightning. How did you do it?"

Hera said: "It's simple. My ability allows me to reflect others' attacks back at them. You're a Skypiean Shandian tribesman, right? Go back and wait. The golden bell will ring soon. It's time for the 400-year-old grudge between you and the Sky Islanders to end."

Wapol's eyes widened in shock upon hearing this, and he rushed forward: "You know the location of the golden bell? And what do you mean by ending the grudge? They invaded my homeland; who are you to say it ends just like that?"

Hera dodged Wapol's hand as he tried to grab her collar and said with a frown: "How rude. I'm a lady, you know. How can you grab my collar? As for the peace talks... Old man, you've been watching for so long, aren't you coming out?"

In the air, Gan Fall realized he had been exposed and flew down, smiling bitterly: "Nothing can escape your detection. How did you find me?"

Seeing Gan Fall fly down, Wapol immediately raised the Burn Bazooka on his back and aimed it at him. "You bastard, how dare you show your face before me!"

Gan Fall did not resist. He looked into Wapol's eyes and said: "If killing me makes you feel better, I am willing to die. It was my incompetence that prevented peace between our two peoples. But if you also wish to drive out that new God, I hope to lend you a hand."

Hearing Gan Fall's repentance, Wapol's finger on the Burn Bazooka did not press down. He only spat out a harsh threat: "I'll remember what you said. I'll settle the score with you after Eneru is defeated."

After saying that, the two of them stayed on the ship.

Gan Fall looked at the tense atmosphere and took the initiative to change the subject: "Do you know how the Priests fight? They use various shells unique to Sky Island for their attacks."

Hera became interested: "Oh, I'm not familiar with that. Old man, tell me, what kinds of shells are there?"

Ain and Kuina heard it was about combat and also became interested, coming over to listen.

Seeing everyone gather around, Gan Fall began: "I won't introduce the ones used in daily life for now; we'll have plenty of time to experience those when we return. I'll focus on the ones used for combat."

"There are Milky Shells, wind shells, gale shells, Flame Shells, Heat Shells, flash shells, impact shells, Repel Shells, and Axe Shells. Among them, Milky Shells can spray clouds unique to Sky Island. It's said that Priest Ohm has a sword that stores Iron Cloud. wind shells can store and release wind, and can even be detonated."

"A gale shell is a type of wind shell. Priest Gedatsu is skilled at using them. Flame Shells can store and release fire, and Heat Shells do the same with heat. flash shells and impact shells store light and impact, respectively."

"A Repel Shell can release ten times the power of an impact shell, but the recoil is also lethal." As he said this, Gan Fall glanced at Wapol's hand. If he wasn't mistaken, that was a Repel Shell.

"And finally, the Axe Shell, which can absorb a slash and then release it at will. It's also the primary weapon used by the Divine Soldiers."

Hearing this, Hera also became interested and asked: "You know a lot about the Four Priests. Tell us more about them."

Gan Fall sighed: "Of course I do. Those people used to be my subordinates."
