Chapter 51 - Chapter 51: Flandre is Going to be a Teacher

After hearing Flandre's words, everyone started playing with the controls curiously. One moment they'd crank the effect to the max to feel what it's like to not see your hand in front of your face, and the next they'd leave just a thin layer of Red Mist, making the whole corridor feel like the atmosphere of a ghost story.

"The white lights here ruin the atmosphere a bit. I'll submit a report to the Engineering Department to have them all swapped for green ones. Hehe, red and green make for a perfect match!" The person in charge of the training ground said while stroking his chin. The people nearby all wore expressions of disdain.

"I didn't expect Miss Flandre's research and mastery of Originium Arts to be so profound. Our Guard Department also has a team that researches sorcery. How about you go give them a lecture?"

Just then, Wei Yenwu arrived. He listened in detail as those nearby recounted Flandre's modifications, then experienced it for himself before finally looking at Flandre and asking.

"Mm! You mean you want Flandre to be a teacher!" Flandre's eyes widened. She was eager to try.

"Of course. With such a powerful sorcery Master like little Flandre, if I didn't make use of her, I'd be laughed at. Besides, little Flandre is so knowledgeable; you'll definitely make a great teacher, right?" After all these days, Wei Yenwu naturally knew how to make Flandre happy.

"Yay! Flandre is going to be a teacher!" Flandre happily grabbed Chen Huijie's hand and spun around. After the excitement, Flandre looked at Wei Yenwu. "So when can Flandre start the class? I need to go back and prepare!"

"Well, I'll post an announcement within the Guard Department. Let's say in three days, in the Grand Auditorium downstairs. Any Operators interested in Originium Arts can come and listen!" Wei Yenwu said. Three days later would be Saturday, and he planned to personally come and support Flandre.

"What about the scope of the teaching?" Although Flandre was excited, she admitted she had never been a teacher before.

"If little Flandre is the teacher, she needs to handle these things herself!" Wei Yenwu chuckled and rubbed Flandre's head, then left contentedly under her troubled gaze.

What to do when a child is too powerful? Lead her in areas she isn't good at to ensure "well-rounded development." For instance, right now, Flandre had a troubled look on her face. What exactly should she teach?

After returning home, she took out all the sorcery books she had read recently and laid them out. From noon until evening, when Beatrice returned, she was still sitting there with a troubled face.

"What's wrong, my little Flandre?" Beatrice walked over and tried to cuddle, but she was pushed away by Flandre's small hand.

"I'm thinking about a very serious problem. Please don't disturb me, Sister Beatrice!"

"Oh, it seems little Flandre has run into trouble... let me see what it is... Holy crap, what are these terrifying books? Take them away quickly!" Beatrice couldn't help but shudder after looking at the titles.

"Don't be silly, Sister. I'm thinking about which book's content I should lecture on!" Flandre reached out and pinched Beatrice's cheek.

"Wait, you're planning to lecture on these things?" Beatrice looked incredulous.

"These aren't very difficult things. Look, these are just ordinary formulas that can be solved by applying calculus. The Guard Department is full of Lungmen's elites. No matter how slow an elite is, they should still be able to solve calculus easily, right?" Flandre felt that while Originium Arts were somewhat difficult, sorcery models were things that could be completely solved using mathematics. She had decided to teach "basic" things like sorcery models.

...Flandre's words were deafening, leaving Beatrice speechless. After a long time, she finally spoke with difficulty. "Little Flandre, could it be that these things are a bit too difficult for everyone?"

"Huh?" Flandre expressed great shock. Would models that only required applying formulas be too difficult for the elites of the Guard Department?

"Lower the level a bit. Choose some high school material, or something from a regular university. Unless someone specializes in research, very few people would even look at these books you have..." Beatrice said with a pained expression.

"Fine!" Flandre reluctantly put away the advanced texts. After searching through her collection, she finally pulled out a book titled Originium and Sorcery by the Celestial Masters Mansion. "Sister Beatrice, how about this one?"

"This one works. It's a required textbook for the Celestial Masters Mansion. The research on the foundations of various sorceries in it is very thorough." Beatrice gave a rare nod of approval.

Seeing that this book was acceptable, Flandre began to flip through it quickly. Until now, she hadn't actually read it seriously; she had only skimmed it because she thought it was simple enough for beginners.

Drinking tea and reading, by the time she looked up again, it was already the next morning. Flandre stretched and noticed Beatrice lying on the nearby sofa, sleeping soundly. Flandre lightly waved her hand, and a bedsheet covered her body. "Good morning, Sister Beatrice!"

In the afternoon, when Flandre woke up, she found the two maid sisters waiting. Flandre picked up the book, then with a hook of her finger, a stack of white paper and a pen flew out from the study and began to automatically record the content Flandre needed.

When Beatrice came home from work, she saw Flandre studying those dozen or so pages. "Little Flandre, what are you researching today?"

Flandre pointed to the pile of summaries. "This is a summary I've made based on this book. It's already the simplest content. But if I lecture on all of it, it'll take at least five hours. Won't that be too long?"

Beatrice flipped through the summary. "Five hours is indeed quite long. Is there no way to condense it further?"

"There's really no way!" Flandre said dejectedly.

"Then how about doing two or three sessions?" Beatrice asked.

"Will that work?" Flandre was already unsure if people could accept what she was teaching. What she was showing Beatrice now seemed like elementary school curriculum to Flandre.

"Why wouldn't it work? It'll definitely be fine," Beatrice said with confidence.

"Then I'll change it to two parts, three hours each!" Flandre decided. She felt that since she was finally becoming a Master, she had to teach this class well.

[Flandre, Flandre, are you there?] While Flandre was looking at the book again, Alina's voice came through their bloodline connection.

[Sister Alina, good evening!]

[Good evening, little Flandre.] Alina's tone was very lighthearted.

[Sister Alina, is something the matter?]

[Can't I just talk to little Flandre if nothing's wrong? You're already going to abandon Alina?] Alina teased.

[No, it's because Flandre is preparing for a class!] Flandre recounted what had happened over the last two days. [The people in the Guard Department are so silly. Those models are clearly very simple, but Sister Beatrice said the content was too hard and told me to change it to the simplest version.]

Hearing Flandre's words, Alina didn't know how to respond. After all, by Flandre's criteria, she was also one of the silly ones.

[Perhaps things that are simple for Flandre are very hard for others. Maybe those brothers and sisters in the Guard Department just happen to not be good at this, which is why they need Flandre to teach them.] Alina finally gave a gentle explanation.
