Chapter 80 - Chapter 80: The Arrival of Remilia

The intense heat had already turned the wire mesh glowing red, looking as if it were about to melt. A normal person inside would likely have had their bones burned to ash, yet she was still shouting.

Was this normal? This was very abnormal.

In the command room, the staff officer who had been laughing just a moment ago was now staring intently at the figure within the flames.

"Huh, why has the sound stopped? Damn it, has she been found out!"

After a long while, the girl's voice reached their ears once more. Then, the flames were instantly extinguished, and the girl walked out with clenched fists.

"A very nice hot bath. To be honest, I'm quite satisfied. So, I can let you die a little less painfully!"

The flamethrower soldiers were scared witless. At such high temperatures, how did the opponent manage to remain without a single scratch on her body?

"M-Monster... She's a monster! Run!"

The girl before them, who remained unscathed by flames that could turn a human to ash, had clearly transcended the understanding of these flamethrower soldiers. They turned and fled in terror.

"Hehehe, actually, I know a little bit of fire magic too! Just like this!"

With a wave of Flandre's hand, the flames transformed into bats and flew toward the men, instantly igniting the flamethrower soldiers and the fuel tanks behind them. Then came a series of explosions, and the flamethrower soldiers turned into human torches.

Flandre walked through the middle of them, looked up at a camera that was still faithfully recording everything, and waved her hand. "Don't be in a hurry, I'm coming!"

The command room was in a state of chaos. After all, the fire trap they thought was a certain kill hadn't even managed to trap the opponent.

"What are you panicking for? We haven't lost yet. How is the preparation for the second trap coming along!" The staff officer looked at the camera, his eyes now completely bloodshot.

"It's already prepared!" The person beside him gulped and said.

"Then activate it immediately! We must kill this monster-like Blood Demon right here, otherwise, she will surely become a grave threat to our Ursus." The staff officer said viciously as he watched the girl on the screen hopping and skipping toward the command room.

Soon, after Flandre turned a corner, two more Blast Doors appeared at the front and back, completely blocking her path. Next, two openings appeared on both sides, and a gas filled with countless fine particles gushed in from both flanks.

Flandre reached out to grab a handful, and looking at the pitch-black particles sticking to her hand, a term instantly appeared in her mind—High-Concentration Originium Dust.

This stuff was typically used as fuel for the internal combustion furnaces of high-speed warships. After all, when refueling a mobile warship with Originium energy, it was impossible to just stuff whole pieces of Originium in one by one. However, it seemed the enemy had connected the pipelines here. Were they planning to let her be completely Originium-ized in this high-concentration dust?

One had to admit this was a very ruthless move. For any other race, perhaps only an Aegir could escape from this. But Flandre was no ordinary person. She completely ignored the pipes still spewing dust and walked up to a large door, the crimson in her eyes deepening.

"Screeech~~~"

Accompanied by a tooth-aching tearing sound, the iron plate nearly ten centimeters thick, used as a barrier, was torn open right down the middle by Flandre. This sight truly dumbfounded the observers.

Was this a human? A ten-centimeter-thick composite metal plate, something that even Originium bombs couldn't blast through, was being torn apart by hand? The entire command room fell silent. Everyone stared in dazed shock at the suffocating scene on the monitor.

"Damn it! Everyone grab your weapons and prepare for battle!" Seeing this, the staff officer had to admit his plan had failed. But his plan hadn't completely failed. As long as she was delayed here, his side still held the advantage in the battle outside. By the time she walked out, the battle would already be over. Even if she had heaven-defying talent, she wouldn't be able to save the Reunion Movement from its fate of destruction.

On the way to the command room, people constantly appeared from the corridors with weapons, only to be crushed into heaps of corpses by Flandre. In less than ten minutes, she had arrived at the main door of the command room.

Just as she was about to push the door open and enter, she suddenly felt a sense of blood-linked connection. She felt Remilia's presence right beside her, yet separated by a strange layer of something between them.

"So, is this what Sister meant when she said I'd know what to do?"

A realization rose within Flandre. Then, red light flared in her eyes as she unleashed the full power of her ability to destroy everything. Space instantly seemed to be torn open, revealing a pitch-black world on the other side. Of course, it would have felt a bit more comfortable if that pitch-blackness didn't contain so many eyes.

In the next second, Remilia rushed out from within and pulled Flandre into a hug.

"Flandre, I missed you so much! Waaaah, you suddenly disappeared and scared me to death, waaaah!" Remilia, for once, didn't maintain her dignity and wailed loudly while holding her younger sister.

"Sister, don't cry! Flandre is doing just fine over here!" Flandre reached out to wipe the tears from Remilia's face, smiling lightheartedly.

Remilia also wiped away her tears. "I'm happy just seeing you so energetic, sister."

"Stop the small talk for now. This world is rejecting us; we can only hold out for two hours at most before being forcibly ejected! Also, where is this? It feels like a metal coffin, making me feel quite stifled."

The one speaking was Yukari Yakumo, who had appeared nearby. Flandre pointed at the command room door not far away and said, "Flandre came to hit the bad guys, and the bad guys are in this room."

As soon as Flandre finished speaking, Remilia kicked the door open. She looked at the terrified crowd inside. "Which one is the bad guy you mentioned?"

Flandre pulled out a photo of Count Miles and scanned the room. "He's not here!"

"What do you mean he's not here?" Remilia asked from the side.

"The bad guy isn't in here!" Flandre said anxiously.

"Little one, don't panic. Tell me what's going on," Yukari Yakumo said, placing a hand on Flandre's head.

After Flandre recounted the events, a look of realization appeared in Yukari Yakumo's eyes. "It's obvious the other side also guessed your plan. So, that Count Miles you mentioned isn't on this warship at all. This was just a trap set specifically for you. They simply underestimated your strength."

After Yukari Yakumo finished speaking, she glanced at the people inside, casually opened a Gap, and continued, "Since the target isn't here, let's head out first!"

Flandre nodded and followed Yukari Yakumo into the Gap. Before leaving, Remilia reached out into the void as if grabbing something and made a stabbing motion. She then said a single sentence to the room before following them into the Gap.

Just as the people in the room thought they were safe, everyone suddenly felt a sharp pain in their chests. They looked down to find a large hole had appeared in their chests at some point.

"For bullying my sister, I never said I'd forgive you!"

The childish female voice only just reached their ears at that moment. Above the Landship, a black rift was torn open, and three figures stepped out.

"Sister, why did only the two of you come? Where's Sakuya? Where's Patchy? Don't they miss Flandre?" Flandre pulled on Remilia's hand, looking left and then right. Finding only her and Yukari Yakumo, she asked with some disappointment.

"Originally, if your sister had been more patient, she could have torn a larger opening, enough for at least four or five people. But she was too impatient. As soon as the passage to this side opened, she couldn't resist rushing in, which made the spatial width insufficient, so only the two of us could come over. Furthermore, this world is constantly trying to expel us. However, these people with cat ears and bear ears do indeed resemble cat youkai and bear youkai, yet they don't have a trace of demonic energy on them. It really is as interesting as you said, Flandre!"

Yukari Yakumo covered most of her face with a fan, leaving only a pair of squinted eyes, making it impossible to tell what her expression was.

"Can we take Flandre back?" Remilia asked.

"Probably not. After all, our current state is very strange. I thought about this while Flandre was in the Gap, but I suddenly got a feeling that if I did that, little Flandre would be lost forever in the endless void. Besides, if we take her back, won't we lose the coordinates to this place? Those angry Great Youkais would tear you and your sister to pieces."

Yukari Yakumo knew Remilia couldn't bear to see her sister suffering outside, but many youkai had helped to successfully break through the passage for the two of them. So, unless they could find a stable solution for traveling between the two worlds, if they just took Flandre back, the youkai who helped wouldn't let it rest. For the peace and harmony of Gensokyo, Yukari Yakumo wouldn't let such a thing happen. Moreover, this world didn't seem to have very high combat power, and with people having beast-like features, it might actually be suitable for youkai to live in.

"Flandre, what are you looking for?"

Flandre and Remilia had been circling in the air hand-in-hand for a while. Seeing Flandre's anxious look, Remilia finally asked.

"That bad guy! Flandre has to deal with him, or else Sister Alina and the others will be in danger."

It was already ten in the morning, and more than an hour had passed since the battle began. The Reunion Movement members were fighting while retreating and hadn't suffered any casualties yet. But as the Ursus army pressed closer step by step, the chance of casualties would only increase.

"My foolish little sister! Have you forgotten your sister's abilities? A mere mortal—how could he possibly hide from me?"

Remilia reached out and poked Flandre's forehead. Looking at her sister's teary-eyed expression, she quite happily took the photo from Flandre's hand. After memorizing the man's appearance, she closed her eyes and slowly raised her hand.
