Personality Traits

---------------------------------------

Stoic - [Although Alek presents himself as stoic, he is not emotionally vacant. He understands and appreciates the beauty of the world around him, though he does so internally. Emotion, to him, is something kept private rather than shared, and his stoic demeanour serves as a defensive mechanism rather than a lack of feeling. ]

Morally Serious - [ While he is not cruel, Alek is uncompromising in his principles. He believes that meaning must be upheld even when it brings harm to himself or those around him. To abandon conviction for comfort is, in his eyes, a failure of character.]

Fatigued, yet to lose all hope - [ Alek is deeply weary of war, its repetition, and its cost. However, he has not reached the point of despair where life feels meaningless. Though he doubts that war will ever truly end, he remains capable of finding value in fleeting peace and in moments of shared laughter.]

Protective - [ He views youth as something worth shielding. Innocence, no matter how brief, holds value to him, as he understands how easily it can be stripped away. This belief guides much of how he treats those younger than himself, particularly those placed in his care.]

Self-aware and Honest - [Alek recognises that his actions may appear wrong or unhinged to others. He accepts these judgments without resentment or self-loathing. War has altered him in mind and body, and though he may not fully grasp the extent of these changes, he does not deny their existence. ]

Resilient - [ No matter the hardship faced, Alek has always risen again and continued forward. Not because he believes circumstances will improve, but because persistence is necessary if he wishes to keep living. Endurance, for him, is not hope but obligation. ]

Ethan → {+85}The squire of Alek, Ethan, began his service at the age of eight. After several years under Alek's guidance, he has grown accustomed to the knight's demeanour and methods. Having been orphaned early in life, his mother lost in childbirth, and his father soon after to illness, Ethan views Alek as a father figure. The boy is a capable swordsman, though he is unlikely to become exceptional. Still, Alek values him not for potential greatness, but for perseverance and character.
