Chapter 12 - Chapter 12 Werewolf's Ability Test

They sit on the bench, under the Douglas fir, through branches, looking upon the moon that appears now and then, napping on cloud bed.

Lunar: Someone, who sealed me here for almost five hundred years, is the person that I hate most; someone, who defeated me, is the person that I admire most; someone, who deserved my hatred and admiration, is the same person, the wizard king.

Solar: Was he powerful?

Lunar: Extremely powerful.

Solar: How powerful was he?

Lunar: He was the most powerful dark wizard of all ages, addressed as the dark lord by his followers.

Solar: What did you mean the dark lord?

Lunar: The God of Darkness.

Solar: Was he as powerful as the God?

Lunar: Nobody witnessed the might of the God, until someone witnessed the magic of the wizard king.

Solar: The wizard king is too powerful for me. How can I break his seal and set you free?

Lunar: You never know how strong you are, until being strong is the only choice. As the wizard king's descendant, you have inherited his ability. I have faith on your future.

Solar: What kind of ability did the wizard king possess?

Lunar: The wizard king, who was the first werewolf in the magic world, possessed with nine major abilities. They are Superhuman Strength and Speed, Accelerated Healing and Regeneration, Heightened Senses, Shapeshifting, Primal Empathy and Telepathy, Lunar Empowerment, Fear Induction, Curse Bestowal and Lycanthropic Virulence, and Resilience to Conventional Weapons.

Solar: What kind of ability do I possess?

Lunar: We don't know, until we have a test for you.

Solar: A test? What kind of test is it?

Lunar: It is a werewolf's ability test, to test out your abilities.

Solar: I'm ready for the test, Miss Tudor.

Lunar: Let's begin to test with Superhuman Speed and race to the cliff.

Solar: Last one there has to tell a story!

Lunar runs faster than Solar, as if she were being chased by a huge wolf. They run through the fir forest, arriving the cliff with a view of the moon.

Lunar: I win. Do tell me a story.

They sit on the cliff, leaning against a huge rock under moonlight.

Solar: I joined the track team at college, running on the campus main street at twilight. I was the last one, chasing the whole team behind their backs.

Lunar: It's proved that you possess Superhuman Speed. You might be the last one, but from now on, you are the fastest man among your track tream. There's a huge rock. Just try to lift it up and show me your Superhuman Strength.

Solar: I might not be able to lift it up, but I will give it a shot.

He has returned human form, as soon as he arrives the cliff. He gets his hands around the huge rock, and lifts it up with his Superhuman Strength.

Lunar: Amazing! It takes a superhero to lift this huge rock up. It's proved that you possess Superhuman Strength and Speed. Let's test your next ability.

She lengthens her pointed fingernails, scratching his arms to scratch out three lines of controlled scratch wounds.

Solar: Why would you scratch my arms?

Lunar: Look at your wounds. They are healing without treatment. It's proved that you possess the ability Accelerated Healing and Regeneration.

Solar: This time I'm not ready yet. You should have told me.

Lunar: Let's test your Heightened Senses. We need to test your olfaction, hearing and sight. Are you ready yet?

Solar: Sure. I'm ready. Let's begin the test.

Lunar: Just try to sense the Douglas fir over there, which stands beside the bench, with your olfaction, hearing and sight, and tell me what you sense.

Solar: I can smell the scent of Douglas fir leaves; I can hear the leaves rustling with passing breeze; I can see through velvet darkness to count the number of fir leaves.

He stands at the cliff, several miles away from the Douglas fir, looking through the velvet darkness toward the Douglas fir with his ability Heightened Senses.

Lunar: It is wonderful. It's proved that you possess Heightened Senses, which allows you to track the trace of your enemy.

Solar: What's the next test? I'm ready. Let's do it.

Lunar: Shapeshifting, which allows you to transform into a huge wolf, it takes some time to practise partial transformation; Primal Empathy and Telepathy, which allows you to command natural wolves, it takes a natural wolf to command; Curse Bestowal and Lycanthropic Virulence, which allows you to transform the others into werewolves, it takes a human being to bestow; Resilience to Conventional Weapons, which allows you to be unkillable by motal means, it takes a mortal weapon to test.

Solar: Let's skip these, and test the next ability.

Lunar: Let's test Fear Induction.

Solar: How could we test Fear Induction?

Lunar: Try to get me scared.

Solar: Howl!

He transforms into wolf form at the cliff, howling upon the moon. After a soul-chilling howl, he returns human form, sitting beside her.

Lunar: You might look terrible to the others, but you look cute to me. There's no proof that you might possess the ability Fear Induction, but I believe you have.

Solar: Thank you, Miss Tudor.

Lunar: Let's test Lunar Empowerment. Lunar Empowerment, which allows you to absorb moonlight elixir and empowers your overall strength.Transform into wolf form, absorb moonlight elixir, let's race again and come back the bench.

Solar: Last one there has to tell a story.

He transforms into wolf form, absorbing moonlight elixir at the cliff. He empowers his overall strength, running into the forest toward the bench like a bunch of moonlight. He runs faster than before, but still he has to chase after her behind her back.

Lunar: Have a seat.

Solar: Thank you, Miss Tudor.

They sit on the bench under the Douglas fir, talking with each other.

Lunar: You can run faster than before. It's proved that you possess the ability Lunar Empowerment. Tell me a story, please.

Solar: What kind of story would you like to hear?

Lunar: Anything about you.

Solar: I was given with a dictionary and a letter, when I was appreciated by Miss Sally, who was my tutor in the first college semester.

Lunar: What kind of letter is it?
