Chapter 7 - ch 5 — Gilded and Guilty

was late. He pulled out his logistics ipad, and dumped his bag on the floor before taking a seat in one of the leather chairs that added to the overall elegance of the room. He sighed, and started leaning back — then stopped. His back was a few centimeters from the comforts of the pillows.

'' Lower district submissions. Permanent flag confirmed. Continued await for signature, for final disposal. ''

Yujin hadn't flagged the disposal yet? Something was wrong. The same moment Yujin entered. It was like the room lit up as he stepped inside. His Gold eyes searched the room and landed on the startled assistant. ''Seoujin.'' he called out, his voice a low ominous rumble. Seoujin quickly stood up, closing up the distance between them. ''Sir, I'm still awaiting of your disposal confirm for case ****, regarding Jin Taehyoek.'' Seoujin said, his voice cold and detached with ease, like usual. ''I know, I want you to call Jin Taehyoek. Ask him to report to the quarters, immediately.'' He sighed, running a hand through his short blonde hair. ''Okay….I'll do that right away.'' Seoujin said, confused by his boss' obvious lingering distress, but brushed it off. He walked away, but Yujin's arm shot out grabbing him in a stressed, yet light grip. ''Oh and Seoujin, make sure the meeting room is filled with blue-eyed executives.'' he said. For the first time, Seoujin showed signs of actually being a human, his eyebrows furrowed slightly ''what…why?'' he said confused, but his boss let go of his arm and walked away. ''Just get it done, okay?'' Yujin said as he walked off, towards the gold decorated elevators, the marble showing the reflection of his nervous face. Seoujin's expression turned cold again, and he shrugged. ''Whatever you say, boss.'' He sighed and walked off as he dialed Taehyoek's assistant, Kang jisoo.

-----------------------------

The lobby of Lee corporations was a cathedral of light- Gold designs, and polished marble surfaces everywhere. Paired with big, gold grandeur chandeliers . He could feel his lingering anxiety, clawing up his throat, making every breath feel like inhaling glass. The stares that lingered on him, it didn't feel just like eyes. It felt like a suppressing pressure, like an agreed dislike of him. The gold eyes that scoffed when they saw him, the blue-eyed guards that looked at him like he had already committed a crime. It felt choking. He put his hand on his chest, feeling his own heart beat rapidly, He bit down on his lip.

''Stop biting your lip, Jin. Your bleeding.'' a voice purred behind him. Jin flinched – a small, sharp movement. Shin Soo-wi stepped forward, his eyes scanning the lobby with a merciless boredom. His eyes flickered down to Taehyoek, his gaze softening slightly without even noticing. He looked immaculate, wearing a black suit that cost more than most people in the lower districts made in a year. Soo-wi reached out, his finger tracing the edge of Jin's furcoat, the one that he had pulled over himself to hide the bruise on his neck. ''i'll kill him for you, y'know. Just say the word, sweetheart.'' Shin whispered, a low purr.

"Don't. I'm here to handle a meeting, not a funeral.'' Jin growled, yet seeked the comfort of Shin's warmth that he needed badly in this moment. Shin chuckled slightly, ''That's cute.'' he taunted, a hint of mock in his voice. ''Go play Designer. I'll be right here when you come back, even if you fall.'' He said, and for just a moment Jin thought it was the worried childhood friend speaking, not the possessive psycho that had his friend in a tight grip. ''-I'll let you fall back into my arms.'' He finished. Jin sighed, just as he had expected, the lingering obsessive behavior. Jin started walking toward the crowded elevators, pulling his coat further up as people stared. Shin stood back, people stared at him just as much, if not more. They looked disgusted, yet slightly anxious at the expensive suit and the overall aura that Shin carried like a cologne.
