Chapter 46: The Mirror of Infinite Agony and the Trap of Souls

The Rare Trap: The Mirror of Echoes

Rina was fulfilling her revenge, keeping the promise she made for her parents and Diari. Rina stays true to her word, even if it leads to her death; she is not a hypocrite or a liar like her enemies. Humans should be like this, not hypocritical and a burden to those around them. This time, Rina didn't want to set an ordinary trap; she wanted a revenge that neither she nor her enemies would ever forget. Who is Rina? A kind heart with a fierce mind. But she doesn't use that mind fully; if she did, she would destroy everyone. Her heart is infinitely kind and held her back, using less than half of her actual mental power. Standing in the center of the Cave of Shadows, she raised her hands and created a rare, unspoken trap: "The Mirror of Eternal Echoes." This trap wasn't made of glass, but of the frozen tears of all the witches who had killed the innocent. Rina forced Liva into the trap. In this place, time did not exist. Every time Liva tried to move, she felt billions of needles piercing her soul, not her body. It was a trap that fed on the victim's fear; the more Liva panicked, the tighter the invisible walls closed in on her.

Liva's Failed Magic

As always, Liva was driven by madness. She tried to use a forbidden dark spell called "The Serpent's Breath" to poison the air and escape. Her lips moved to whisper the curse, but she couldn't move them. Rina laughed coldly: "Liva, you were a red devil, but I am a white angel. Haha... It's strange, if I used my full mind, you would die instantly under my hands. This is not even half of my power." Rina's face twitched with rage as she looked into Liva's eyes and smiled broadly. There is a special joy in smiling in front of the one you hate. "In this place, your magic is my food." Every dark spark Liva tried to create was instantly swallowed by Rina's white light and turned into a whip that struck Liva's back. Liva realized she was no longer a witch, but a helpless prisoner in a world with no power.

The Father's Deep Reflection

As the chaos continued, Rina's father sat on a cold stone to rest for the first time. He looked at his hands, which were once bound by the enemy. He thought deeply about the years he had lost without Rina and her mother. He remembered the scent of his wife's hair and the first time he held Rina. A heavy sadness came over him—not for himself, but for his daughter. How had the world turned her into a warrior of fire and ice? He looked at the cave walls and saw the history of his ancestors, thinking: "Was all this blood necessary? Did we survive just to become the very people we hated?" He was exhausted—not in body, but in soul—longing for a peace that felt far away.

Diari's Action and Rina's Rage

When Diari saw Rina's extreme cruelty and vengeance, he did something unexpected. He walked toward Liva, who was screaming in the trap, and placed his hand on the edge of the mirror to dim the light and give her a moment of silence. "Rina, enough! If we become dark, what is the difference between us and them?" he shouted.

Rina turned, her eyes glowing like terrifying white fire. Her face changed with fury. She walked up to Diari until they were only centimeters apart. With a voice that shook the entire cave, she screamed: "How dare you! You talk of mercy? After what they did to you? After they turned you into a 'stinking body'? I am doing this for us! If you interfere again, Diari, I will treat you as an obstacle, not a partner!" The air between them crackled with electricity and rage.

End of the Chapter

Rina pushed Diari back with a wave of energy and returned her focus to the witches. Her heart had become a storm of revenge, and for the first time, even Diari was afraid of the person Rina had become.
