Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: A Ripple in the Design

In the vast tapestry of fate that weaves through the world of jujutsu, where curses lurk in shadows and sorcerers battle unseen horrors, a single thread can unravel the entire design. The birth of one life—unassuming, fragile—holds the power to shift destinies, to bend the unyielding paths of heroes and monsters alike.

In this realm, where cursed energy pulses like a heartbeat, the arrival of a child named Kuro would prove to be such a catalyst, his existence a quiet ripple that promised to swell into a storm.

The hospital room glowed dimly under a stormy night, rain tapping the windows like faint claps. Toji Fushiguro, a lean guy in a worn hoodie, long black hair falling over his forehead- held his wife's hand tight, rough fingers locked with hers, slick and shaking from the strain.

"You're doing great," he said low, steady, hiding the strange twist of worry in his gut. He wasn't big on soft moments, but seeing her grit through the pain, face set hard, woke something fierce and protective in him.

Her last cry rang out, raw and echoing, and the baby came—a small, wailing boy, fists balled like he was already braced for trouble.

The nurse wrapped him quick, checked him over, then laid him in his mother's arms. She held him close, tired smile breaking through as she nursed him, exhaustion softening into quiet warmth.

When feeding ended, the nurse passed the boy to Toji. The weight felt light next to everything he carried, yet heavy in a way that hit deep. Ink-black hair stood out sharp against pale skin; wide, curious eyes met his with pure innocence.

"Black hair like that... suits you. Kuro. Yeah, that'll do." The name slipped out easy—no overthinking, just hope for a simple life, free of the mess he'd known.

Years slipped by fast, the way they do for kids. One night under a heavy moon, three-year-old Kuro twitched in his sleep. A dream flickered in: a teen with wild white hair and sharp blue eyes, radiating easy power, smirking like the world was his game. The image blurred, half-gone, like a whisper you can't quite catch.

He woke gasping, little hands scrubbing his eyes, heart hammering. It faded quick—didn't make sense anyway.

A year later, at four, sharper glimpses hit. Playing in the yard, stacking rocks, pain cracked through his skull like lightning. He grabbed his head, dropped to his knees, tears stinging.

Fragments rushed in: a black-haired woman, or something like one—stitch marks ugly across her forehead. Then a pink-haired guy, face serious, was talking with her.

The pain eased fast, leaving him dazed in the grass. Scary thoughts swirled, but a giggle floated from the house. He shook it off, ran inside to play dinosaurs with Megumi-kun.

The next day brought another dream: a monster—four muscled arms, too many eyes glowing with cruel joy, laughing loud amid fire and ruined streets, air heavy with ruin.

Then another where the monster possessed his little brother's body....

[Ding!]

[An anomaly detected! Host found! Binding the system to the host!]

...

"You idiot, stop right now!" Fushiguro Megumi shouted at Itadori.

But in the next second, Itadori, who had swallowed one of Sukuna's fingers, effortlessly annihilated the Cursed Spirit with a single swing of his right hand.

Sukuna was thrilled to possess a physical body again.

"Hahahaha, having a body is truly the best! Killing Cursed Spirits is too boring! Where are the people? The women? The children..."

A figure instantly appeared beside Sukuna. It was Fushiguro Kuro.

Black short hair and that iconic handsome face inherited from his father, Toji.

Even Sukuna was surprised by Fushiguro Kuro's speed, yet he sensed no Cursed Energy from Kuro.

Fushiguro Kuro gathered all his strength into his right fist and swung it at Itadori, whose body was controlled by Sukuna, at astonishing speed, roaring: "You freak, stay away from my little brother!"

Boom!

The moment Kuro's fist connected with Sukuna's body, a massive boom echoed through the night sky.

Sukuna was sent flying like a cannonball, slamming heavily into the wall of the nearby school building.

As huge clouds of dust rose, a second loud crash rang out.

Fushiguro Megumi stared blankly at his older brother before uttering a single word after a long pause.

"Brother..."

Fushiguro Kuro suppressed his anger and lectured Fushiguro Megumi, pointing at him.

"Megumi! I told you not to go on missions without me!"

Kuro left half a sentence unsaid, especially regarding matters involving special-grade cursed objects.

At that moment, the System's voice rang out.

[Interrupting Sukuna's revival speech grants 100 experience points.]

Seeing his heavily injured, foolish younger brother, Fushiguro Kuro's anger subsided significantly.

"He is currently controlled by a special-grade cursed object. I'll handle the exorcism from here."

Although Fushiguro Megumi was aware of his older brother's strength, the person was controlled by a special-grade cursed object, and their power might have already risen to the level of a Special Grade.

"Brother, if you can't handle it, I'll use that to stall him..."

Fushiguro Kuro snapped, "I told you to practice that earlier, not to use it casually before you've fully mastered it!"

Before Fushiguro Kuro could finish speaking, he charged forward and engaged Sukuna in close combat.

Just as the battle reached a fever pitch, Itadori regained control of his body.

"What are you doing with someone else's body, you bastard? Give it back to me!"

Sukuna was momentarily stunned, having not expected Itadori's consciousness to still be present.

Even the pure black cursed markings on his face faded as control shifted.

I'm being suppressed by the host of this body? This brat's strength is terrifyingly high. If this continues, I'll be at a disadvantage. Sukuna thought to himself,

Fushiguro Megumi, watching from afar, was also greatly surprised. Only after hearing Itadori's words did he realize that Itadori hadn't died from possession.

Hearing Itadori's voice, Fushiguro Kuro's true expression emerged.

It was a monstrous killing intent, aimed at utterly slaughtering the villains who would harm his family in the future.

[Consuming 100 experience points, Reverse Heavenly Restriction temporarily upgrades to Two-Way Heavenly Restriction, limited to ten seconds.]

The Heavenly Restriction Fushiguro Kuro possessed was the same Heavenly Restriction as Toji's: almost zero Cursed Energy, granting resistance to Cursed Energy and terrifying physical enhancement.

The so-called Two-Way Heavenly Restriction allowed Fushiguro Kuro to briefly possess the effects of a Positive Heavenly Restriction simultaneously with the Reverse Heavenly Restriction.

The effect of this Positive Heavenly Restriction was to gain an equivalent level of Cursed Energy based on physical strength.

The cost was the experience points Fushiguro Kuro gained by building relationships with characters he had seen in his dreams/future visions and altering their life trajectories.

Fushiguro Kuro spoke in a voice so icy cold that only Itadori and Sukuna in front of him could hear it.

"You've been a great help."

Sukuna, inside Itadori's body, was also extremely surprised to sense Fushiguro Kuro's instantly surging Cursed Energy.

During the brief fight, Sukuna had basically confirmed that the young man's physical strength was the result of a rare Heavenly Restriction.

However, to instantly boost Cursed Energy from almost zero to a terrifying level without using Cursed Techniques or Domains was something even he had rarely seen.

Sukuna discovered something about Fushiguro Kuro that attracted him.

"Interesting."

Fushiguro Kuro's right hand transformed into a hand blade, and the dense Cursed Energy covering it turned black.

Squilch!

It instantly pierced Itadori's flesh, striking the stomach.

When Fushiguro Kuro retracted his hand, he did not pull out the finger, the symbol of Sukuna's power, that he had anticipated.

Itadori's massive wound gushed blood, and he weakly knelt on the ground.

"Since I can't end this by extracting the finger, I can only ask you to die. Hate me if you want. I can't let go of anyone who might harm Megumi!"

[Severely injuring Itadori grants 100 experience points. Killing One-Finger Sukuna grants 100,000 experience points.]

[Consuming 100 experience points, Reverse Heavenly Restriction temporarily upgrades to Two-Way Heavenly Restriction, limited to ten seconds.]

"Wait, brother! Don't kill him!" Fushiguro Megumi shouted as he saw how the situation was developing.

But Fushiguro Kuro paid no attention. To avoid the future that was destined to occur, he was determined to nip the dangerous element in the bud, just as he had saved Tsumiki Fushiguro.

As long as his family could be safe, he wouldn't hesitate to dirty his own hands.

This time, Fushiguro Kuro's Black Flash was aimed at Itadori's heart.

"Your killing intent is too heavy, Kuro. So you show this kind of killing intent toward beings other than me as well?"
