(Third Person POV)
Naoya dodged a large curse's attack, appearing behind it and striking it in the back. The Curse let out a vicious howl as it swung at her, wailing its arm frantically as the Sorceress simply smirked and dodged the attack.
"Fufu~" She said as she appeared next to it, "So slow~"
It was the middle of the night and she was in Kyoto, down by the city. She and Kaito had spotted some curses nearby and decided to go and hunt them down, regardless if it was sanctioned or not. Naoya took the lead on this and attacked the first two, having exorcised them with ease as they were not even Grade 2.
The one she was facing was Semi-Grade 1 and she was playing around with it. It swung its massive fist at her again and within a split second, it's entire body was suddenly shrunk down in a glass-like frame, squished flat.
Naoya was holding it with her hand, a smirk on her face, "As always...." She said as she swung her left fist, imbued with cursed energy, "You Curses are nothing but weaklings!"
She struck the frame, shattering it completely and sending it crashing against the ground. The Cursed Spirit let out a pained howl, blood spraying out of its mouth as it laid there. Naoya stood before it, rubbing her wrists as she kept smirking.
The Cursed got back up and growled, glaring right at her. She was unfazed by this and simply smirked even more, clearly enjoying this.
"fufu~" she said, "Come at me, I'll play as much as you can handle it~"
"You're playing with your prey, Naoya." She heard a voice say
She turned to see Kaito slowly walking down the street, a group of Curses gathering around him as a tense pressure of Cursed Energy was being emitted. Kaito had a katana sheathed at his side, his hand holding the scabbard as he had his other hand resting by his side.
Naoya winked at him, "But it's fun, Kaito-kun~" She said, "Don't you think so?"
"Fun?" Kaito said as he stopped, looking at the Curse in front of Naoya, "Why would exorcising curses be fun? There is no joy in hunting and purging the very beings that threaten innocents."
"You can be such a mood-killer." Naoya frowned, "Don't you find joy in fighting?"
The Cursed Spirit lunged at Naoya as she faced Kaito, letting out a howl as it tried to swipe its claws at him.
Then, in an instant, it was split into two, blue flames sprouting from its wounds as began to disintegrate. Naoya looked back to see this, not reacting much to it.
"Hm?" She said as she looked back at Kaito
Kaito had sheathed his blade again, embers of blue flames surrounding him. The other Cursed Spirits let out vicious howling and rushed at Kaito, who simply glanced at them.
"Blazing Courage: Dance of Embers"
In an instant, the Curses were shredded by rapid slashes that emitted blue flames, resulting in embers flying about the air. Naoya simply smiled as she saw the blue embers dancing about in the air, descending to the ground. All while the Curses were completely shredded, their bodies bursting in blue flames and exploding in blood.
"My my~" Naoya licked her lips, seeing her husband in an Iai stance, "That power of yours turns me on~"
"Stop being so strange." Kaito said, "You are enjoying this too much."
Then, a large worm-like Curse with sharp teeth appeared out of the corner of a building and rushed at Naoya with blinding speed. It then hit something hard that appeared out of nowhere, causing it to recoil back.
Naoya stepped back to see a large cloth veil, deployed in front of her like a barrier. She looked to see that Kaito had swung his black haori at her, extending it greatly and had it act as a shield.
"Oh." Naoya said, "You used Construction to extend the haori.....and use it as my shield. How romantic~"
Naoya then appeared above the Curse and struck it hard in the middle, slamming it down the ground, cracks appearing everywhere. As the Curse tried to recover, Naoya lifted it up as it was suddenly in the frame again, due to her Cursed Technique.
Before she could follow up, Kaito appeared next to her, piercing the Curse with a long black spear that had seemingly appeared out of nowhere. The frame shattered and the Curse was impaled, blue flames sprouting from its wound as it began to explode violently.
Kaito stepped back as the blood fell upon the ground, blue embers floating in the air and slowly dissipating.
Naoya licked her lips and looked at him, "Oh, my love~" She hugged his arm, "That is it, we should go to a love hotel and fuck viciously~~ Maybe pick up a nice and tender girl for you to have before you shove that hard cock in me."
"Is sex all you think about?" Kaito looked at her, "How vulgar of you, wife."
"You love it too." Naoya blushed
"We have company, Naoya." Kaito stepped forwards
He was referring to presences in the shadows across the street, which Naoya had just felt. She immediately stepped to the side and scowled, looking at the figures she could barely make out.
"Show yourselves!" Naoya called out, "I know you're there!"
"Ara ara." a familiar voice was heard, "We are caught."
Kaito widened his eyes slightly to see a young woman with short dark green hair appear from the shadows, followed by another young woman with long blue hair. The young woman was wearing a black dress that was parted to the side, exposing her leg that had thigh-high boots. She had a gun belt adorned on her, with a revolver holstered on her side.
"Mai-chan?" Naoya frowned, "You're here?"
"Mai." Kaito said as he stepped forward, "What are you doing here?"
Mai looked at Naoya, "This is Kyoto, dumbass." She said with a scoff, "What do you think? We got word of a surge of Curses, so we came to check it out. Miwa and I, that is."
Miwa was looking at Kaito with a surprised expression, "That's Kaito Zenin..." She said softly, "He's so tall..."
Naoya scowled, "Dumbass, you said?" She started, "I'll show you, you little-"
"Mai." Kaito said, cutting her off, "You look well, how have you been?"
He walked over to her, prompting Mai to step back in response. She was put off by his unusual gentle expression, despite not showing any light in his eyes.
"I'm fine." Mai said, looking to the side, "Brother....."
Kaito glanced at her gun, "That's your.....regular gun." He said, "What happened to the-"
"I'm not using it." She cut him off, "I don't see a reason to."
"I see." Kaito said, "Well...."
"What do you want, Mai?" Naoya said with a serious tone, "Kaito-kun and I were on a date, hunting curses and all."
"Well, thanks for taking care of them." Mai said with a frown, "And I heard Maki was injured and back home. This true?"
Kaito nodded, "She is recovering well."
"That's good." Mai said, "Well, we're done here. Miwa, let's go."
"Mai, wait." Kaito said, "We should catch up."
"It's been some time."
