Jay's POV:
I stirred slowly and opened my eyes.
The first thing I saw was Keifer… sleeping beside me, his arms wrapped around my waist. I didn't move. I was just staring at him. How can someone look this handsome even while sleeping? So calm. So natural. Early morning light touching his face.
Then last night came back to my mind.
How I cried. How my body trembled. How I blamed myself for everything that happened to Aries. And how Keifer held me tight, saying nothing, just staying. Then… how he asked me to be his girlfriend.
And now he was here. Holding me like I belonged there.
My eyes slowly dropped to his lips.
Before I could think too much, I leaned closer and kissed him softly. Just a small, gentle kiss. I was about to pull away when his hand tightened around my waist. He wasn't sleeping anymore. He kissed me back, deeper, slower, like he had been waiting for it.
When we finally pulled away, he smiled sleepily.
Keifer : Taking advantage of my sleep, wifey?
I rolled my eyes and whispered.
Jay : Your face is wifey.
Then I looked outside. My eyes widened.
It was already morning. I said quickly.
Jay : Keifer, you have to go. If anyone sees you here, Section E will never stop teasing us.
He laughed softly, kissed my forehead once more, and finally got up to leave.
Keifer's POV:
I was about to leave the tent, but my feet didn't move. I couldn't go like this. Not without telling her the truth.
If she heard it from someone else… she would never trust me again. Or Section E.
And I was already scared of losing her. Too scared. I have too many enemies. My own Watson family. My monster of a father. I couldn't let lies stand between us.
I sat back beside her.
Jay looked at me, confused. She asked softly.
Jay : What happened?
I took a deep breath. My voice turned serious.
Keifer : I need to tell you something.
She saw my face. The smile was gone. She just nodded.
Keifer : I'll tell you everything but please… don't react in the middle. And promise me you won't leave me after hearing it.
She hesitated, then nodded again.
Jay : I promise.
I started slowly taking a deep breath.
I told her everything about my friendship with aries, percy and yuri. About that accident where we lost our friend as well as our friendship. I told her about my relationship with freya and ella. She was jealous, I could see it on her face but I still continued.
How Aries and Section A treated Section E.
How she came and said she was Aries's cousin. How we all noticed the care in Aries's eyes.
That day in PT class…when she was struggling to survive in Section E. When the ball hit her…..aries was the first one who ran to her. He knelt beside her. Calmed her.
That's when the idea came. I said, voice low.
Keifer : We made a plan. A plan to make you fall in love with me… and then break your heart.
Jay stiffened.
I felt it.But she didn't interrupt. She couldn't.
I said quickly.
Keifer : But the plan stopped. A long time ago. Because you became our friend. Our family. You became Section E. Section E started caring. You became our mutya.
They my voice broke.
Keifer : And I fell for you....before I even realized it.
Silence.
I apologized. Again and again.
But she didn't shout. She didn't cry.
Instead… she hugged me tightly and whispered.
Jay : You really love me n? The plan....it stopped, right?
Her voice cracked. Like she was about to cry.
That's when I understood.
She wasn't angry. She was scared of losing me.
I cupped her face gently. I said softly.
Keifer : No jay...baby, It stopped a long time ago. I love you. I love you until scientists find the end of the universe… and beyond it. I'll never leave you. I'll love you till my last breath. Got it?
She hugged me again, tightly.
Then, she said softly.
Jay : I love you too, keif.
Then she pulled back a little and added.
Jay : But you will get punishment for what you did!
I laughed quietly and hugged her back.
Whatever the punishment was…
Losing her would have been worse.
