Chapter 1 - Prologue

This is a mysterious and magical continent where various races live together, including gods, demons, and humans.

Legend has it that the creator god who separated heaven and earth had two daughters, Feng and Yue. The elder daughter, Feng, was a goddess of light representing good, while the younger daughter, Yue, was a goddess of darkness possessing evil. The two, who were incompatible like fire and water, finally broke out into war when the creator god was meditating.

Initially, it was a war between the two, but as the war escalated, the gods gradually joined this endless battle, making this evenly matched war last for a long time. The two women, Wind and Moon, also created their own races on Earth to increase their power. This is the origin of the three races of demons and the three races of gods in later generations. These races possess some of the abilities of the gods, and in some aspects, they are even stronger than the gods, because they all enhanced one aspect of their abilities at the cost of sacrificing others.

This war, which caused the fall of the gods and the shattering of heaven and earth, was finally quelled by the wrathful curse of the creator god. The two goddesses who were the culprits were eternally cursed by the creator god and imprisoned in the endless abyss beneath this continent. It is said that this is the origin of the Wind and Moon Continent.

To quell the war between the gods and demons on Earth, the creator god, heartbroken by his daughter, used his last divine power to create humanity—a race possessing both good and evil within them. He hoped that this race, capable of embracing both good and evil, could resolve the conflict between the purely benevolent gods and the purely malevolent demons. Humanity thus became the only race capable of possessing both divine and demonic abilities. Those who trained diligently could even reach the level of gods, making becoming a god the ultimate goal for all cultivators on the continent.

From then on, the continent of Fengyue had three major races: gods, humans, and demons. The human race, situated between the gods and demons, indeed separated these two sworn enemies, and the continent enjoyed peaceful days.

As the "War of the Gods" gradually faded into legend, and thousands of years of peace passed, the ever-growing population and the emergence of more and more races led people to become dissatisfied with the status quo, and their simple hearts were slowly lost. A war for continental dominance erupted once more, a war later known as the "War of the Hundred Races," which engulfed the entire continent. The gods and demons played crucial roles in this conflict.

Through continuous assimilation and annexation by various races, eight powerful nations emerged on the continent when the Great War of the Hundred Races ended. These were: the Fast Empire in the center of the continent; Pari, possessing the vast northern grasslands; the orcish kingdom of Aso; Wu'an in the northwest; the Yingxi Empire occupying the western plateau; Yunyang, controlling the boundless rivers, lakes, and forests of the south; and the mysterious eastern power, Ludian. In addition, there were several small principalities struggling to survive in the cracks between these powerful states. Their existence served as a buffer zone between the major powers, providing them with space to live, albeit with great difficulty, but always offering a chance.

Time flowed slowly amidst the alliances and betrayals of various nations, the Great War of the Hundred Races became a distant memory, and those legendary heroic deeds became tales told by wandering poets. At this time, the continent of Fengyue was in a delicate balance.

Just when everyone on the mainland thought this would continue forever, the stagnant history suddenly surged forward, and those who would drive history and change the fate of the mainland quietly appeared.

The wheel of history has turned to a new moment, and a new chapter will be written by new heroes.
