The documentary began without warning.
Nyx had uploaded it to the store's private group chat at exactly 2:17 a.m., titled in bold, unnecessary font:
"BELLA: QUEEN OF AISLE THREE — A TRUE DOCUMENTARY."
[DOCUMENTATION LOG — DAY 1]
Soft, dramatic music played.
The screen faded in to Bella standing in front of the canned goods, arms crossed, eyes sharp.
Nyx's whispered narration followed.
"Here we observe Bella. A highly territorial creature. Notice the crossed arms—this signals dominance."
Cut to Bella scanning items at lightning speed.
"Her natural enemy," Nyx continued, "is inefficiency."
A slow zoom showed Bella glaring at a crooked noodle cup.
[DOCUMENTATION LOG — DAY 2]
Footage of Bella restocking shelves at 6 a.m.
"Despite minimal sleep," Nyx said gravely, "she remains alert. This is believed to be powered by caffeine and pure rage."
Bella sneezed.
Nyx paused the video and added text on screen:
RARE MOMENT OF WEAKNESS.
[DOCUMENTATION LOG — DAY 3]
Bella arguing with a vending machine that ate her coins.
Nyx added subtitles:
BELLA: "Give it back."
VENDING MACHINE: silence
BELLA: "I am warning you."
The music swelled like a final boss battle.
The documentary ended with a freeze-frame of Bella staring directly into the camera.
Text appeared:
"CONCLUSION: DO NOT PROVOKE."
Three hours later, Bella watched the entire thing in silence.
She did not laugh.
She did not scream.
She planned.
[COUNTER-DOCUMENTATION — RELEASED SAME DAY]
The next morning, Nyx walked into the store and froze.
A poster was taped to the entrance.
"NYX: A STUDY IN CHAOS — UNCUT FOOTAGE."
Garruk was already laughing.
Vario covered his mouth, failing to hide his smile.
Nyx slowly turned toward the counter.
Bella stood there, holding a tablet.
[DOCUMENTATION LOG — NYX / DAY 1]
Nyx tripping over a mop bucket in slow motion.
Bella's calm narration replaced Nyx's voice.
"Subject displays poor spatial awareness."
Text appeared:
SPECIES: MENACE.
[DOCUMENTATION LOG — DAY 2]
Nyx scanning items with the scanner upside down.
Bella paused the video and circled it.
"Confidence without accuracy," she said.
[DOCUMENTATION LOG — DAY 3]
Nyx asleep in the break room, mouth open, hoodie pulled over her face.
Soft elevator music played.
Text faded in:
'HIBERNATION PHASE.'
By the end of the shift, the store echoed with laughter.
Nyx stood in front of the poster, defeated.
She bowed dramatically.
"Okay. Truce."
Bella crossed her arms, smirking just a little.
"Next time," she said, "add better lighting."
The cameras turned off.
The documentation ended.
But the legend of Aisle Three only grew.
