Chapter 69 - Chapter: The Manager Retires

The constant chaos of Aisle 3 had finally taken its toll. Between the turkey dick outbreak, Nyx's endless pranks, Vario's near-death incidents, and Gallo's nonstop groaning, the manager—usually the calm center of the storm—looked like he had aged a decade in just a few weeks.

He leaned against the counter, rubbing his temples as Bella and Nyx argued over the soda incident, while Vario muttered about feeling weak again, and Gallo rolled his eyes dramatically. Even Hadid Varro, usually stoic, let out a frustrated sigh.

"I can't do this anymore," the manager muttered, voice heavy with exhaustion. "I've survived the worst humans can do, but this… this is beyond me. I'm done."

Bella froze mid-gesture. "Wait… you're… retiring?"

The manager gave a weary nod. "Yes. I've put in my time. I've handled disasters, strange customers, even demon invasions… but this store… these people… it's too much. I'm leaving it to fate—or whoever is left."

Nyx bounced in excitement. "Ooooh! Who will take over? Who's next in line? This is amazing drama!"

Bella groaned. "Nyx, this is serious! He's done, and we still have work to do!"

Vario, sitting slumped against a shelf, weakly asked, "So… no manager… does that mean… total chaos?"

The manager gave a tired chuckle. "Pretty much. But maybe it's for the best. You all seem… resilient, in your own chaotic ways. Someone needs to survive the madness."

Gallo, still skeptical, muttered, "Resilient or stubborn fools, take your pick."

Hadid Varro adjusted his glasses. "This… changes everything… the structure… the hierarchy…"

The manager sighed, walking toward the doors with a final glance back at the store he had managed for so long. "Take care of Aisle 3. Keep it alive… somehow. And remember… no more turkey dick incidents."

Bella called after him, "Wait! How are we supposed to run everything without you?!"

He waved a tired hand. "Figure it out. Or don't. Either way… it's your responsibility now."

As the automatic doors closed behind him, a heavy silence settled over the store. Nyx clapped her hands gleefully. "Ooooh! This is perfect! Chaos! Content! Freedom!"

Bella groaned, rubbing her temples. "I can't believe this… we're doomed."

Vario weakly raised his hand. "At least… we survived… last time…"

Gallo snorted. "Barely. But yeah… welcome to Aisle 3: Managerless Edition."

The store had survived so much already, but with the manager gone, something told everyone that the next disaster… would be even worse.

And deep down, they all knew: Aisle 3 would never be the same again.
