Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1

Ocean Calendar, Year 1490.

In the first half of the Grand Line, beyond normal shipping routes, lay a bizarre island known to the world as Boin Archipelago—called Stomach Baron by the few who had seen it and lived to tell the tale.

Gigantic carnivorous flora covered the land. Plants walked on root-like legs, snapped their jaws, and hunted anything that moved. It was a living hell for ordinary humans.

Yet at the edge of the forest, on a massive leaf shaped like a hammock, a boy lay sleeping peacefully.

He had long golden hair, sun-tanned skin, and wore nothing but a rough grass skirt around his waist. Beneath him, a huge man-eating plant supported the leaf with overlapping foliage, like hands holding a cradle. Beads of sap-sweat rolled down the plant's bulbous head as it glanced up at the burning sun before trudging deeper into the shade.

Once inside the forest, a long vine-tongue gently tapped the boy's cheek.

"Wake up…"

The boy's eyes snapped open. Feeling something wet on his face, he swung his fist—

THUD!

His punch landed squarely on the plant's head.

He sat up, tore a slab of roasted meat from a nearby vine-rack, and began chewing loudly.

"Damn it, Pea! How many times have I told you not to lick my face to wake me up?!"

"And now my cheek's all slimy!"

The carnivorous plant trembled with indignation. Two thick leaves rubbed the swelling on its head as it stomped forward, looming over him like an offended parent.

The boy froze. Then, sensing the plant's emotional outburst through his mind, he scratched his cheek in embarrassment.

"…Okay, okay. Next time, you can put me down first."

He turned back to his food as if nothing happened.

The plant's leaves flailed.

"You said that last time! And you still punched me!!"

Yes — a talking plant.

But this was the world of One Piece. Ridiculous things happened every day.

This boy's name was Roy.

And this was his third year in this world.

When he was eight, he had been sailing with his parents when pirates attacked. With no other choice, his father had shoved him into a sealed barrel and thrown him overboard to save him.

When Roy woke again, he wasn't in his old rented room from his previous life.

He was floating in the sea.

Two sets of memories collided inside his mind. One from his old world. One from this new life.

He understood immediately.

He had transmigrated.

Strangely, he wasn't afraid. He had been an orphan in his previous life — drifting between shelters and bad jobs. A new world was simply another place to survive.

He crawled onto the strange island behind him.

And there he discovered—

Walking carnivorous plants.

Truck-sized insects.

Forests that tried to eat him alive.

After several near-death experiences and desperate adaptation, Roy realized exactly where he was.

Boin Archipelago.

The same island where, decades later, Usopp of the Straw Hat Pirates would train during the two-year timeskip.

Three years passed.

Roy tamed one carnivorous plant by sheer stubborn will and fists. Because it resembled a Peashooter from a game he once played, he named it Pea.

They became reluctant companions.

A shadow passed overhead.

News Coo.

Roy immediately gathered a bundle of fruit and roasted meat, waving it upward. The giant seagull swooped down, traded a newspaper with one wing, food with the other, and flapped away.

Roy sat beneath a tree and opened the paper.

He did this whenever a News Coo appeared. For a transmigrator, knowing the era meant knowing the future.

Headlines:

Whitebeard and Golden Lion Shiki expand their pirate fleets.

Charlotte Linlin and Kaido separate after alliance breakdown.

Roger Pirates destroy the Kingdom of Soros!

Roy's eyes locked onto the final article.

A photo showed a man with a wide grin, a captain's coat, and an iconic curled mustache.

Gol D. Roger.

Behind him stood his monstrous crew.

And in the corner of the image—

Two children.

One with red hair.

One with a round red nose.

"Shanks and Buggy… still cabin boys."

Roy leaned back, thoughtful.

"If I'm eleven now… then this is still Roger's prime."

His eyes sharpened.

"And that means Douglas Bullet hasn't joined yet."

He smiled faintly.

"If I ever reach the New World… maybe I'll intercept him first."

He folded the paper away and began training.

Carrying boulders around the island.

Push-ups on giant leaves.

Sprint races against walking plants.

Sword drills with a carved wooden stick.

In the pirate world, Devil Fruits were powerful — but physical strength and willpower ruled everything.

Roy had no system. No cheat ability.

But he had something else.

A fused soul.

A powerful mind.

Over three years, his mental strength had grown so sharp he could sense the thoughts and intentions of nearby creatures — an early manifestation of Observation Haki, vast in range and clarity.

Food on Boin Islands was rich in strange nutrients. His body grew quickly.

By eleven, he already stood nearly 1.8 meters tall.

He smirked.

"If this keeps up, I'll be Admiral-sized someday."

Still, he knew the truth.

"These island workouts aren't enough anymore."

He slammed his palm into his fist.

"I'll go to sea. Find real training. Real danger."

The next morning, Roy lay napping on Pea's leaf again.

Suddenly, the leaf shook violently.

Roy opened one eye — ready to punch — but saw Pea stretching its vines toward the sea.

A merchant ship sailed in the distance.

Roy's grin spread wide.

"Nice one, Pea!"

He patted the plant's stalk affectionately.

"Wait here. I'll come back for you."

Before Pea could protest, Roy dove into the ocean.

His powerful strokes sent him slicing through the waves like a fish. Years of swimming practice made the distance trivial.

On the merchant ship, a bored sailor leaned on the railing.

Then he froze.

"Hey! Doron! There's… someone swimming toward us?!"

Doron squinted.

"…No one would swim out here. You're seeing things."

"It's real!! He's coming fast!!"

Panic spread as the sailor ran to alert the captain.
