Chapter 1 - Who are the Europeans

The so called "Europeans" as described in the following book are squid-like creatures that call the moon Europa their home which is one of Jupiter's 95 moons. Unlike their earthen counterpart however the Europeans do not have a beak but teeth in a circular maw. They also have an elastic membrane between their 3 strong tentacles which is able to vibrate in high frequencies and to feel vibrations. This organ which was once developed for sensing and luring their pray is now the core around which their communication developed. This language is impossible to hear for humans, especially because the water pressure which the Europeans need to exist is so high that it would make a human implode. Therefore all conversations recorded between Europeans will be translated to English.

The civilization of the Europeans developed way different than what we know from Earth. Due to them being an aquatic species the Europeans had to develop their technology free of fire and metal. Instead they developed the other species on their planet into biological machinery by becoming master breeders and genetic engineers. Their cities are ginormous wales which were riddled with crustacean-houses in which the Europeans live. Their spaceships are giant clams whose hard shells allow for the high water pressure which the Europeans need to live.

After many eons of war the Europeans finally managed to set aside their differences and found a central government called the United Union of Europa or in short UUE. The Union would henceforth be the democratic center of the alien government and regulate every part of the European's everyday life.
