If she was forced to attend another social event with her husband, Liwu was certain that she would shoot someone, or herself. This particular occasion was the engagement of the daughter of one of the city master's biggest donors. She was marrying into a family of similar social standing.
Liwu had been to many such events growing up and she always stayed in the shadows were nobody noticed her. But here, she was in the spotlight because everyone wanted to ask her about the foiled bombing plot at the Chamber of Commerce dinner two weeks ago.
