Helen made a sound as her eyes widened in disbelief at what she had just seen.

She tightened her arms around her daughter, making sure that Emma didn't see what had become of her big sister.

The villagers looked away as they clenched their fists and held back their urge to make a sound.

Meanwhile, Harvard looked at the villagers in front of him one last time before turning toward his captain.

But just before he could tell his captain to prepare for their departure, everything around him suddenly turned blurry, before pulling him out of his dream.

"Ughh..." Harvard groaned as he woke up with a violent lurch.

He placed one hand against the carriage wall while the other landed on his face as he tried to understand what was going on.

For a moment, Harvard didn't know where he was, but it didn't take long for him to register the cushion and the smell of wine in his wagon.
