Chapter 6 - 5 Big Boss

୨ৎ R E M Y ୨ৎ

For the past two weeks, I could not stop thinking about Rainn. After Benny dug up everything about her, I ordered him to drag Amilio in. Still, I did not want to trust Amilio's words completely, so I needed to hear it straight from Rainn herself. I knew she was too afraid to lie to my face.

I enjoyed watching her beauty as the wind played with her curly hair. Even though her brown eyes trembled with fear, she never looked away from me.

She had far more guts than her bastard brother, the one who sold her to me. I had warned him that if he dared to open his mouth about this to Rainn before I made my decision, I would kill him with my own hands.

What made my blood boil was how easily Amilio offered Rainn's virginity just to pay off his debt. Insane. That girl was worth more than four billion. She was clearly more valuable than Amilio's pathetic life. What disgusted me the most was the fact that Amilio actually had enough shares to cover his debt, yet he chose to sell Rainn's purity instead.

He did it because when Rainn turned twenty five, she would receive her inheritance. He was aiming for that too. Bastard.

When Benny looked into her life, there was not a single bad record about her. Every week after service, she served the congregation coffee and tea. If someone fell ill, she brought food to their house.

This girl was sincere, pure, exactly as she was. In my world, people like her were rare, and I liked collecting rare things.

When Rainn's tongue slipped out to wet her lips, that small movement locked my gaze on her mouth. I would bet she had never even been kissed. Lost in that thought, I blurted out, "Have you ever been kissed?"

Her brows pulled together, her cheeks burned red. Damn, she was so innocent that even a simple question like that made her shy.

Rainn only shook her head, struggling to keep her eyes on me. I stepped closer until only a few inches separated us. I took a slow breath, breathing in her scent. She smelled like cookie dough mixed with a soft floral note.

"See you again, little kitten."

Rainn Margot did not come from a respectable family, but she had something no one else in my circle did, her innocence. And Amilio was in for a nasty surprise, because I did not just want Rainn's virginity. If I took her, I would marry her. I would marry the most beautiful girl in the North District. She would warm my bed and give me an heir. And finally, Uncle Deth would stop being a nuisance.

Honestly, I did not care about marriage. I had never been interested in falling in love. But a girl this beautiful?

I was not so sure anymore.

"We going?" Big Jonny asked when I walked over to him and Benny.

"Yeah." I got into the car and took the back seat. "Take me to the club. After that, drag Amilio Santoro to me."

"Got it, boss!" Benny replied, while Big Jonny started the engine.

On the way to Kapoek Beach, where Midnight Heavens stood, I thought. Before meeting Rainn, I had no intention of getting married. Sure, one day the thought might cross my mind, but I was in no rush.

Even now, that desire was not really there. Still, imagining a little kitten that beautiful in my bed felt like a waste to pass up. She would be mine, with no other man daring to touch her first.

A crooked smile briefly appeared on my lips, but it vanished the moment Amilio crossed my mind. I was not the type to give second chances, yet my sadistic side wanted to play with that bastard first. I wanted to see how far he would dare to go before I killed him.

When Big Jonny stopped in front of the club, Benny escorted me inside, then returned to the car to carry out my order.

Midnight Heavens was closed every Sunday, so only a few employees were inside cleaning the place. It was quiet. I went straight to the office to check last week's earnings. I had people handling all of this, but when it came to money, I trusted no one.

Aside from the strip club and casino, I also owned a fleet of ships that transported illegal goods around the world. Carbie handled the shipping schedules, while Bobbie kept things running smoothly at the club. He also managed the restaurant and casino. Sunday was Bobbie's only day off, so I did not need to worry about whether he was in the office.

In my eyes, Bobbie was the best candidate to run the Santera business once Uncle retired. Still, I had to think about who could be trained to replace Bobbie here. It was not an easy decision. Other than Braun, Cavell, Farris, and Tully, the representatives of the four Big Bosses, I only trusted Carbie, Bobbie, Benny, and Big Jonny.

My circle was small. That was the only way to survive in my world.

There was a knock on the door before Benny came in, followed by Amilio, who looked scared out of his mind. The dark circles under his eyes were obvious. He probably had not slept since the last time we met. It reminded me of how tired Rainn looked yesterday.

Benny shoved the bastard forward until he stumbled, then stood in front of my desk. I looked at him with disgust, while he stared back at me with pitiful eyes. I could have killed him right then and there.

"If I take Rainn, do not you dare interfere."

He looked confused. "So, sir is going to take her virginity to erase my three point eight billion debt?"

I stared at him for a long moment. "Hmm. I have not decided yet. But if you open your mouth about this conversation to her, that will be the last thing you ever do."

"Y yes, of course," he stammered. "I am not trying to interfere. I just want to make sure she does not run away."

I tilted my head. "You think she would run?"

He nodded quickly. "Ever since we were young, she has had these silly dreams. She said she wanted to live in a small village, in a simple house with a wooden fence, with a loyal husband. And until now, she has always kept herself pure until marriage."

My eyes narrowed. This bastard was mocking Rainn's innocent dreams. If she became my wife, she would have a castle, not a small house. Anything she wanted, I would give her.

"What else does she dream about?" I asked sharply.

"Nothing unusual. She wants to be a mother."

That was good news for me. I lifted my hand, dismissing Amilio. Benny immediately grabbed his arm and dragged him out.

I knew he had the potential to run, so I needed a plan. If he could not know about the marriage, then I had to trap her into coming to the wedding ceremony under a different excuse. I also did not want her brother to know that I planned to take more than just her virginity.

Once she stood in front of the altar, there would be no escape. She would be trapped in my marriage.

Would I feel guilty for trapping an innocent woman like her into marrying me?

No. Not at all.

In my territory, I took whatever I wanted. Rainn would quickly learn how to be a good wife. In return, she would live surrounded by luxury. She could take care of our children while I continued my work.

I had made my decision. Rainn would be my wife. Soon enough, that little kitten and her innocence would belong to me.
