"Hehe…" Lyra almost laughed out loud but quickly held it in.
Professor Selwyn then looked toward Bruce and his father.
Bruce was trembling with fear.
If Lyra's parents had come, he wouldn't have been that scared—but Kael was another matter entirely.
Back then, that boy Kael crippled… the memory alone was terrifying.
Just then, a calm voice sounded:
"Professor Selwyn, what kind of trouble did my sister get into?"
Kael pushed the door open and walked in.
The moment he entered, a crushing pressure filled the room, like Mount Tai pressing down.
Bruce couldn't take it—thud—he dropped to his knees.
Lyra blinked in confusion, then ran over happily and hugged Kael's arm.
"Brother! You're finally here!"
As Kael spoke again, the pressure vanished like a receding tide.
Professor Selwyn stared at him in shock.
She knew what that was.

"Kael," she asked carefully, "you've broken through to Gym-level?"
"Corviknight got lucky today," Kael replied modestly.
Professor Selwyn leapt up in excitement.
"Excellent! Absolutely excellent! We must tell the principal!"
"Professor Selwyn, let's settle my sister's matter first," Kael said calmly.
After hearing the explanation, Kael glanced at Bruce.
Just one look nearly made the boy wet himself.
"Since my sister has already rejected you," Kael said evenly, "I hope you won't bother her again."
"Yes! I won't! I swear!" Bruce nodded frantically.
"That's all then."
Kael took Lyra and left.
For him, this had never been a big deal.
But family—that was his bottom line.
And whoever touched it… would pay the price.
