Chapter 2 - Birth...

Aethernox, the city that was full of power, where a child was born. In a massive mansion in the countryside of Aethernox, Ethan—who had dark blue hair and striking emerald-green eyes, an unusual combination even among nobles—was born into the family of Nox the descendent family of that who help to form the city. Ethan had a really great life full of joy; he loved reading books, and at just four years old he had already learned much of the history of the Five Great Nations: Aethernox, Vorlaxis, Nyxnas, Dominex, and Caligos.

It was once said that all five nations had to join together in order to protect the planet thousands of years ago when they were attacked by the alien planet Marlheonx-

Now, Ethan sat inside a luxurious carriage, knights riding in formation around it as they traveled toward the main city. He had just turned four, and today marked an important moment in his life—the first Talent Test.

Every child underwent three or four trials, each four years apart. The first tested one's innate magical talent. The second measured mana capacity. Mana is life itself; without it, the heart would cease to function, and the body would slowly and painfully evaporate. The third trial—often the most decisive—was the Selection of School, a moment that would determine a person's future… if they were lucky enough to reach it. The last depended on the person, whether they wanted to do the Force Selection or not. This was a highly reputable achievement for anyone to have, yet it risked your life, as you would undergo a mission or quest to stabilize the world.

Unaware of how much his fate would change, Ethan watched the city walls of Aethernox draw closer.

His dad while on the way to the city he told him that 'In this world, on every planet, there was something called Monsters. They would come out of nowhere or simply appear. Most of them lived in dungeons hidden somewhere in the universe. All Monsters were born through the last unknown sphere known as Umonios. Throughout millions of years, some planets would simply vanish from the universe. But some survived because the Conqueror of Power kept fighting for everything and everyone's sake—everything.'

Ethan finally arrived at the Aethernox Palace, where many other kids were being tested across all ages.

The palace grounds were vast, paved with white crystal stone that faintly glowed beneath the sun. Towers rose into the sky like spears of light, each carved with ancient runes said to be older than the Five Great Nations themselves. Ethan pressed his face close to the carriage window, his emerald eyes glow wide with curiosity as he watched children step down from carriages far grander—or far poorer—than his own.

Some cried while clinging to their parents. Others stood proudly, trying to look brave despite trembling hands. Knights guided them all toward the Hall of Origins, a colossal circular structure at the heart of the palace where the Talent Tests were held.

Inside the hall, a massive crystal pillar stood in the center, floating slightly above the ground. The crystal was made from lunas ore, one of the most reactive ores against mana in the world.

Later after many people went in it was his turn

A clear, loud voice echoed throughout the hall.

"ETHAN OF THE ROYAL NOX."

A tall, handsome, lean man with bright red eyes and blue hair stood in front of Ethan.

"Honor to the Nox," said Hiro.

Hiro was one of the most talented teachers at the Aether Academy. He said that he would be testing Ethan's magical talent.

Hiro started speaking to everykid in the hall-

"In this world, there are four types of mana that were discovered and researched throughout many years, and today I will teach you the basics of two of them first and test which type you are most talented in."

"First—Physical Mana (PM). In this type, you can convert PM into three or up to four stages. First is enchanting a part of your body to do two things:

Increase speed

Increase strength

The second PM stage is shielding—using PM to cover a part of your body to increase durability or repel attacks. The last stage of PM that I will be telling you today is reinforcement, where mana is spread evenly throughout the body, vastly enhancing overall ability. But this requires an advanced level of mana control."

"Second—Magical Mana (MM). This one is extremely complicated, so LISTEN. After you master your mana control capability to a certain level, you will be able to form Magical Mana. To do this, you have to learn to compress and refine your mana, transforming the raw mana within your body into magical mana, allowing you to create anything using it.

"For example, if you created a normal attacking spell like a mana bullet, you would create something called low mana, where you spread only a single layer of your mana everywhere in a space you need, like this—"

Hiro began to spread his low mana into a circular shape.

"This is you controlling an area where you are now able to use Magical Mana from anywhere inside your low mana, not just from your body."

Hiro used his mana inside the low mana range, creating many sphere-like mana orbs.

He then explained that for these to do any damage, you would have to input PM inside your mana orb using the third stage, covering the whole thing with PM. He converted 70% into speed and 30% into strength. Later, with MM of the spell you learn the element which you will be learning later, now he have created a perfect mana bullet with immense speed.

"Lastly, for today's lesson, is Grimoires. To be able to use a powerful spell using MM, you have to learn it through a Grimoire. In every single Grimoire, it will tell you how to learn the spell, the efficiency of the spell output—most likely shown in decimals. If it is a very rare type, it would go over normal decimal places, base power, mana needed, and capacity. Capacity is very important because mana is what keeps you alive, so be careful of the capacity before learning it. Also, in some Grimoires, there will be an extra, which is an unknown or indescribable power, or waste."

"This is the equation for damage output:

((Mana input (must be higher than the mana needed) × base power) + Extra (if there is one) / Waste (if there is one)) × efficiency"

Hiro gave everyone two basic Grimoires each, Basic water spell for MM, and Basic Buff spell for PM he told everyone to learn this as soon as possible for tomorrow test. (These two are one of the easiest spell to learn rather than other spell that would need month or years, these basic spell only need a day for an average person to learn. Another thing about learning spell is you don't have to always learn to through book, you can just simply learn it for someone who have learned the spell, in this world not many people is able to teach other spell as in every Grimoires it contain lots of mana within the book itself.)

"Now, I want you to go to your room where you were told to. Have a good night's sleep, and tomorrow will be the Talent Test."
