Chapter 68 - The Viral Onslaught

"I'm quitting. I'll take this evidence and join a network that won't mind showing the truth instead of hiding it."

However, when Linda turned around to retrieve the evidence, Birak laughed loudly:

"Hahaha, you want to quit?" Birak sneered. "Fine. But you can't have the evidence. Leave without it."

Even though Birak wanted to avoid firing Linda, he was still more than happy to see her quit on her own.

In this way, he won't have to explain to the owner why he fired her. He would just say that she left on her own.

After all, the order to block the news from airing came from the owner, and if Linda left in the process, Birak wouldn't be held responsible.

He was also growing irritated with Linda's overbearing attitude just because she had some talent and influence. 

'Good riddance,' he commented to himself with a smile as he watched Linda press her lips in frustration before leaving without the evidence, having no other choice.
