Chapter 23 - chapter 21 exams

Chapter – Exam Week at Section E

It was finally exam week, and the excitement (and tension) was palpable in Section E. Three days of exams awaited us, and even though I wanted to focus, I couldn't help glancing at Keifer, holding his hand under the desk whenever I could.

Morning of the First Exam – Reading Test

The classroom was buzzing as everyone settled. Mam Cindy stood at the front, papers ready.

"Good morning, Section E. Your exams start today. First up: Reading comprehension. Please take your seats quietly," she said.

I sighed and adjusted my uniform, trying to focus. Keifer, sitting beside me, gave my hand a reassuring squeeze. "Relax, Jay. You've got this," he whispered.

I nodded, smiling softly. "I just… don't want to mess up."

Section E Teasing Even During Exams

Of course, nothing was simple. Even during the exam, Section E couldn't help themselves.

Felix: "Jay… Keifer… are you holding hands under the desk?!"

Drew: "Don't even think about sneaking glances at each other! That's cheating your hearts!"

Mayo: "Look at them! They're so cute it's distracting!"

Kit: "I'm dying. I can't focus. Focus? Who needs focus when this is happening?!"

David: "Jay, tell me the answer later… I need to survive watching them."

Eren: "Keifer, protect her from our questions. She's your responsibility."

Emman: "Oh my God, I can't… they're holding hands again!"

Even Yuri was there, arms crossed, glaring slightly. "Tch… showing off much?" she muttered. Her jealousy was obvious, but she still tried to act cool, scribbling furiously on her exam sheet while sneaking glances at us.

C-N: "Focus! Read the passage, Jay! Don't let Keifer distract you!"

Erdix and Rory: "We can't handle this cuteness. It's unfair!"

I groaned softly, burying my face in my hands. "They're impossible," I whispered to Keifer.

He smirked, pressing a soft kiss to my temple. "They're harmless. Mostly."

Yuri's Subtle Jealousy

Throughout the reading test, Yuri kept peeking at us, clearly annoyed that all eyes—or at least all attention—seemed to be on Jay and Keifer.

"Ugh… so infuriating," she muttered under her breath. "Why do they get to be happy all the time?"

I noticed and tried not to giggle, knowing she was flustered. Keifer whispered in my ear, "She's just jealous. Let her simmer."

I laughed softly, squeezing his hand under the desk. "Yeah… she'll survive."

After the First Exam

As soon as the test ended, Section E exploded again.

Felix: "So… how many times did you two glance at each other?"

Drew: "Did he whisper something to you during the exam? Tell us!"

Mayo: "Kisses under the desk? Come on, spill it!"

Kit: "I need answers! NOW!"

David: "Did you guys smile at each other at all? Admit it!"

Eren: "Oh my God… the tension… it's killing me!"

Emman: "We're never going to survive this week!"

Yuri groaned, muttering, "I'm surrounded by idiots," clearly annoyed but still observing every little interaction.

Keifer chuckled and gave me a wink. "See? They'll never change. Let's just survive exam week together."

I nodded, leaning into him slightly. "Survive… and maybe tease them back a little."

The Next Two Days

The next two days followed a similar pattern: exams, tension, and endless Section E teasing.

Day 2 – Science Exam: Section E whispered comments like "Are they holding hands again?!" and "Is this cheating… their hearts cheating?!"

Day 3 – Math Exam: Keifer helped me stay calm, and I scribbled answers while secretly squeezing his hand for courage. Section E teased, and even Yuri rolled her eyes, muttering, "I can't believe this. Ugh…"

Through it all, the teasing never stopped, but Keifer and I stayed close, holding hands, exchanging glances, and quietly laughing at Section E's over-the-top chaos.

By the end of the week, I realized: even if the exams were stressful, having Keifer by my side made everything easier—and Section E's teasing was just another reminder of how much we were part of each other's lives now.Jay's POV (After the Last Exam – Emotional Moments)

The last exam paper had been handed in, and the classroom felt… different. Quiet. Final. The familiar chaos of Section E's teasing was replaced with a strange, bittersweet silence.

I leaned back in my chair, letting out a long sigh. "It's over… our last exam," I murmured, almost to myself.

Keifer reached over, brushing a soft strand of hair from my face. "It's done. And you were amazing, Jay. I'm so proud of you."

I felt a warmth spread through my chest, and my eyes glistened just slightly. "I couldn't have done it without you," I whispered.

Section E's Emotional Side

Even Section E, usually so loud and teasing, was quiet now. Felix nudged Drew and muttered, "I can't believe it… school will be different without all the exams."

Kit, Mayo, and David were softly talking among themselves, smiles on their faces but with a touch of melancholy.

Erdix leaned back, folding his arms. "It's… kind of sad. We're done with exams, but it feels like something's missing."

Rory nodded, a small smile on her face. "Yeah… no more chaotic mornings, no more teasing Jay and Keifer… it's weird."

Even Yuri, sitting with her usual guarded expression, seemed quieter than usual. She crossed her arms but muttered under her breath, "I guess… good luck to them, at least."

Keifer and Jay Share a Moment

Keifer reached over, taking my hand in his. "Looks like it's just us now," he said softly, thumb brushing over my knuckles.

I smiled, leaning closer to him. "Just us… and Section E, of course," I teased lightly.

He chuckled. "Of course. I wouldn't survive without their chaos."

I rested my head on his shoulder, feeling the familiar warmth and comfort of his presence. "I'm going to miss this," I admitted.

He kissed my forehead softly. "Me too… but we've got a lot more ahead. London, adventures, and… us. Always us."

Leaving the Classroom

We stood up slowly, packing our things. For a moment, the classroom felt empty—no exam papers, no lectures, no pressure. Just the memory of laughter, chaos, and the small moments that had made this journey so unforgettable.

Section E whispered among themselves, some of them smiling, some a little emotional. They may not have been teasing as loudly today, but their presence was comforting—like a soft backdrop to the final chapter of our exam week.

Keifer wrapped an arm around me as we walked out of the classroom together, hand in hand. "Ready for what's next?" he asked.

I smiled up at him, feeling my heart flutter. "With you? Always."
