Chapter 62 - Chapter 60 gifts ceremony

Jay pov

The morning came way too fast.

Sunlight crept through the curtains, soft and warm, and for a brief moment, everything felt peaceful. Keifer was still asleep beside me, one arm loosely around my waist, breathing steady. I didn't move. I didn't want to break the calm.

That peace shattered instantly.

"KUYA KEIFER, WAKE UP."

Kieran's voice echoed through the mansion like an emergency siren.

Keifer groaned, burying his face into the pillow. "Why are you yelling before breakfast exists?"

Another knock, louder this time.

"KUYA. COME DOWN. NOW."

Keifer sighed deeply, already defeated. "That's my younger brother," he muttered. "He fears silence."

He slipped out of bed, pulling on his boxers and a T-shirt. Before leaving, he leaned down and kissed my forehead. "Stay here, wifey. This sounds like Section E energy."

I nodded, smiling sleepily, and watched him leave.

Downstairs, Keifer froze the moment he reached the living room.

Every single member of Section E was there.

All of them.

Including their girlfriends.

Rory. Felix. Mayo. C In. Calix. Erdix. Freya. Mica. Rakki. Ella. Percy. Aries.

All standing like it was some kind of interrogation panel.

Keifer blinked. "…Why are you all in my house?"

Felix clapped. "GOOD MORNING, KUYA-IN-LAW."

Mayo grinned. "Nice outfit. Very… post-wedding."

Percy crossed his arms. "Where is Jay?"

Before Keifer could answer—

I walked in.

I was wearing Keifer's loose shirt, the sleeves falling past my elbows, paired with shorts. My hair was messy, face bare, still half-asleep—but apparently glowing, judging by the silence that followed.

Complete.

Dead.

Silence.

Rory's jaw dropped.

Mica covered her mouth.

Mayo whispered, "Oh… wow."

Keifer immediately turned. "Wifey—"

"Good morning," I said, confused. "Why is everyone staring?"

Felix recovered first. "So."

Keifer cut in fast. "No."

Mayo leaned forward. "Did you—"

"STOP," Keifer warned.

Calix smirked. "Last night was your wedding night, so logically—"

"Logically," I interrupted calmly, "you all should mind your own business."

"OHHHH," Rory screamed.

"That delivery," Freya laughed.

Percy rubbed his temples. "I don't need these images."

Aries tilted his head. "Jay… you look… radiant."

I shrugged. "Sleep does wonders."

Kieran blinked between us. "Wait… so you both—"

"KIERAN," Keifer snapped. "YOU ARE A CHILD."

"I AM YOUR BROTHER," Kieran protested.

"AND I AM YOUR KUYA," Keifer replied firmly.

The room erupted.

"HE PULLED THE KUYA CARD," Felix gasped.

"I'M DEAD," Mayo laughed.

Grace walked in with Baby Grazel Jay, who instantly reached for me. I picked her up, kissing her cheek.

Grace smiled knowingly. "Looks like someone had a good night."

Collective groan.

Keifer wrapped an arm around my waist protectively. "This conversation is over."

I nodded. "Anyone who asks one more question gets assigned kitchen duty with grandma."

Silence.

Immediate fear.

"Nope," Calix said.

"I value my life," Felix added.

Breakfast started after that, though the teasing didn't stop. Every glance, every whisper, every smirk screamed we know something.

But through all the chaos—

Keifer stayed close.

His hand in mine.

His presence steady.

And despite Section E trying their absolute best to ruin the peace—

It was still a perfect morning.

Everyone somehow settled in the living room—somehow meaning Section E sat wherever gravity allowed. The coffee table was stacked with gift boxes of all shapes and sizes, ribbons everywhere, tags dangling, and chaos already brewing.

Keifer sat beside me, calm as always, while I was already nervous.

C In clapped his hands once.

"Alright. Official announcement. We did not come here to tease—"

"LIE," Mayo yelled immediately.

"—we came to open gifts," C In finished, ignoring him.

Keifer looked at me. "Wifey… brace yourself."

"I already regret this," I whispered.

They decided to start with family gifts first, because apparently Section E had standards… for about five minutes.

My mom stepped forward first, holding a soft blue box.

"This is from us," she said gently.

Inside was a beautifully folded silk saree with delicate silver embroidery, the kind that felt like it carried generations of love. My throat tightened instantly.

"So you always remember where you come from," she added.

I hugged her tightly. "Thank you… I'll treasure it."

Next, Tita Gemma handed Keifer a sleek wooden box. Inside was a classic watch—simple, elegant, timeless.

"For the man who keeps time steady when everything else is chaos," she said.

Keifer smiled, genuinely touched. "Thank you."

Percy and Aries came together—trying very hard to look casual.

They handed us a framed photo of all of us standing together, slightly blurry, mid-laughter.

"So you don't forget us," Percy said quietly.

"And so you remember you're stuck with us," Aries added.

I laughed and hugged them both. "As if I could forget."

Grace and Denzel's gift was next—a small handmade album with tiny notes tucked between pages. On the first page was a photo of Baby Grazel Jay holding my finger.

I couldn't stop smiling.

By the time family gifts ended, my eyes were already misty.

Then—

Felix stood up.

"Alright," he said, rubbing his hands together. "Now it's our turn."

Keifer muttered, "This is where it goes wrong."

The first Section E box was from Rory.

I opened it.

Inside were matching oversized hoodies—one said "Property of My Wife", the other "Property of My Husband" in bold letters.

Rory grinned. "Wear it in public. Mandatory."

I buried my face in Keifer's shoulder.

"I'm never stepping outside again."

Next was Mayo's gift.

It was a large box.

Too large.

Inside were matching novelty boxers and shorts—covered in tiny cartoon middle fingers.

Mayo beamed. "For… confidence."

Keifer stared. "Why."

"For emotional support," Mayo replied.

I was crying laughing.

Calix and Mica's gift came next—a perfectly framed photo of Keifer and me mid-kiss, clearly taken without permission.

"WHEN WAS THIS TAKEN?" I demanded.

Calix shrugged. "Love finds a way."

Keifer sighed. "I need better security."

Erdix and Freya handed us a box with two mugs.

Mine read: "I married into chaos."

Keifer's read: "I AM the chaos."

Accurate. Painfully accurate.

Rakki's gift was a giant bell.

"When someone lies," he said proudly, "ring it."

Keifer immediately rang it.

"HEY," Rakki protested.

C In, very seriously, handed over a neat envelope.

Inside was a handwritten note:

Rules for surviving marriage.

Rule one: Don't underestimate Jay.

Rule two: Don't underestimate Section E.

Rule three: Refer to rules one and two daily.

I laughed. "This is… disturbingly accurate."

Felix and Alex, being single and dramatic, gave us a pillow shaped like a heart with "SLEEP IS IMPORTANT" written on it.

Felix nodded. "For peace."

Keifer smirked. "We will ignore that advice."

Everyone groaned.

Then came a group gift—from all of Section E girls.

I opened it slowly.

Inside was a box filled with hair ties, comfy slippers, skincare masks, and a note:

For the days you're tired, overwhelmed, or surrounded by idiots.

I looked up at them, emotional.

"Thank you… seriously."

They smiled—soft, proud, supportive.

By the end, the table was a mess of wrapping paper, laughter, teasing, and warmth.

I leaned into Keifer, overwhelmed in the best way.

"This is a lot," I whispered.

He kissed my forehead. "It's love. Loud, chaotic love—but still love."

Section E was still laughing, arguing, and replaying embarrassing moments, but for a moment, I just watched them.

All of them.

And I realized—

We weren't just opening gifts.

We were opening a new chapter, surrounded by people who loved us enough to tease us endlessly.

And honestly?

I wouldn't have it any other way. 💙
