Chapter 2 - The hidden door in forest

My heart started beating faster.

This was the kind of thing that only happened in movies or book.

I stood there for a movement, arguing with myself.

Go back, one voice sad . this is stupid.

What if this is something amazing? Another voice replied.

Adventure won.

I pushed a side the branches and stupid onto the path.

The forest felt cooler inside, like stepping into a shaded room after being in the sun. sunlight broke thought in scattered beams, lighting a floating dust and Tiny insects. The path twisted and turned, and soon I called on longer see the road behind me.

For a moment, Eiffel Tower view of fear.

But it was mixed with excitement.

I kept walking.

I deeper I went, the quieter it becam.no cars.

No people . just birds, leaves, and my own footsteps.

After about 10 minutes, I heard something unexpected.

Water .

At first, it was faint. Then it becam clearer.

I followed the sound until I reached a small,

Hidden stream.

Clear water flowed gently over smooth stones. The sunlight made the surface sparkle. It look good peaceful and untouched, like a secret place meant only for those who founded.

I smiled.

"How did I never love this was here?" |

Whispered.

I sat on a flat Rock and pulled out my SketchBook.i started drawing the stream - the curve of the water, the stone, the trees reflected on tha surface.

As I draw, time seemet to slow down.

But then I noticed something else.

On the fear side of the steam, near a group of thik bushes, there were strange mark on the ground.

They look like footprint.

not animal footprint.

Human.

Fresh.

My Smile slowly faded.

"Someone else has been here...." I mutterred.

A small chill ran down my spine.still, curiosity pullet me forward. I carefully

crossed the stream,

Stepping on stones to keep my shoe dry. The ground on the other side felt slightly softer, like it had been disturbed recently.

The bushes here where thicker. I had push through them, branches starting lightly against my arms.

And then.....

I saa it.

I first my brain refused tu understand what my eyes wear seeing.

Between two large rock, party covered by moss and mud, was the edge of something soild and perfectly straight.

Not natural.

Not rock.

Not wood.

Metal.

I stepped closer, my heart

Pounding.

It was a door.

A real door.

In the middle of the forest it was tell, dark, and old- looking rashtra covered part of it, and strange symbols where covered into it surface. Did didn't look like any language I recognized.

"Who would put a door hair?" I wishpered.

My hands felt silightly shakhy.

I wiped sam mud Away, revealing more of the metal . the door felt cold, even in the warm forest air.

As I touched it, Aaj train feeling rain though my body.

Like static.

Like the air itself was alive.

Studently...

The ground vibrated.

Not enough to make me freeze.

The door made a low, Deep Huming sound.

It wasn't loud.

But it felt powerful.

I pulled my hand back in socks.

My heart was racing now.

"This is't normal," I said quietly. The forest around me felt different.

Too quiet.

No birds.

No wind.

Just silence.

Then....

I heard something behind me.

Footsteps.

Slow.

Careful.

I turned around quickly.

"Hello?" I called out.

No answer.

No one was there.

But I knew what I heard.

The door hummed louder.

The symbols on it seemed to grow finally, almost like they wear reacting to my presence.

I took a small step back.

Fear a experiment mixed inside me.

If this was dangerous, I should leave.

Right now.

But another thought hit me.

What if this is something that cloud change everything?

I stood there, staring at the door, my mind racing with questions.

Who built it?

Why here?

What was behind it?

I slowly rised my hand again.

My fingers wear inches away from the cold metal. My breathing felt loud in my ears. Just as my fingers where about to touch it again...

The humming suddenly stopped.

The forest went completely silent.

Even my own bleaching sounded too loud .

I froze.

Then, from deep behind the door...

I thought I heard something.

Not a voice.

Not a sound I cloud explain.

Just a feeling.

Like something on the other side was aware of me.

Watching.

Pulled my hand back.

My heart was pounding harder than Ever.

"This was a mistake," I wishpered. But even as I said it, I knew the truth.

I wasn't going to forest this door. I wasn't going to work away and pretend this never happened. Whatever this was...

It was not meant to be found.

But now that I had found it, one thing was clear:

This was only the beginning.

Fill the door open?

Who made it?

And what is hiding behind it?
