Chapter 5
The tent flap is thrown open.
Princess: How dare you!
The air turns to ice.
Her blade points at John, rage in her eyes.
John and Esabell jump up.
Esabell: Princess—what happened?!
Silence.
Princess: You entered my camp… and stole my necklace?!
She leaves.
Marco: Lucky.
Tomasi smirks.
John walks, then stops beside Tomasi.
John: This isn't fair.
He leaves.
woman steps forward, eyes glittering.
Her sword drags behind her.
Then she vanishes.
Blue flames explode from the blade.
SLASH.
A monster drops.
SLASH. SLASH. SLASH.
Limbs fall. Shadows scatter.
Blood runs across her fingers.
Every monster is dead.
She smiles.
Not gentle.
Not kind.
smile that promises more.
The sword rises to her shoulder as if it weighs nothing.
A soldier approaches, trying not to tremble.
Soldier: M-Miss Guinevere… your carriage is ready. We can depart to join the Princess.
Her burning eyes shift toward him.
Guinevere: Good.
A small laugh escapes her lips.
Guinevere: I was getting bored.
Next john standing in front of Princess at her tent
Princess: Why did you come to my tent?
John: I… thought maybe we could practice swords.
She tilts her head, unimpressed.
Princess: Such lame words. You want me to believe that?
John shifts nervously, scratching the back of his neck.
John: N-no… maybe I just wanted… to see you.
Princess: To see me?
Her eyes narrow, sharp, but something flickers in them — a spark of curiosity.
John: Well, I… I think—
Her eyes widen suddenly.
Princess: No more explanation needed. You may go now.
John swallows hard, heart racing, then blurts out:
John: I didn't mean to take the necklace… I thought maybe you'd thrown it. It was… on the ground.
She studies him. For a heartbeat, the world feels silent.
Princess: …hmp.
Her gaze softens just a tiny fraction.
Princess: You may leave. And if you want to practice, join me tonight.
(her voice lowers slightly, teasing) But after this… your intentions are suspicious.
John meets her eyes, his own flickering between nervousness and determination.
John: I'll remember that.
He turns to leave… but glances back. Their eyes meet for a fraction longer than necessary.
The Princess sits, opening the necklace.
Flashback:
Little Princess swings a wooden sword, laughing.
Mother: Flora, I'm going. Be strong.
Princess: Where?
Mother: People need help. I must save them.
Princess: Will you fight?
Mother smiles.
Mother: One day, you will.
She hands over the necklace.
Mother: Whenever you miss me, look inside.
I'll come back soon.
Flashback ends.
The Princess stares at the portraits of her parents inside the necklace. Tears slide down her cheeks.
Princess (whispering): I will find you, Mom… even if I must fight the gods.
Morning arrives.
The Princess stands ready, Marco at her side.
Footsteps approach.
Guinevere stops before her and bows slightly.
Guinevere: Long time no see, Princess.
The Princess's eyes are cold.
Princess: lets begin the journey than.
Guinevere smirks.
Inside the tent—
Esabell kneels on the floor.
A massive circle is drawn, a star at its center.
Around it, eight names glow faintly:
God of Death
God of Earth and life
God of Emotions and illusion
God of Knowledge
God of Time and Fate
God of War
God of Afterlife
God of Justice
Tomasi stands in the center, murmuring a chant.
The air grows heavy.
The symbols flare.
His voice cracks, becoming a scream.
Red flames blaze from his eyes.
Dark crimson fire bursts from his body, licking the tent walls.
The symbols burn brighter, the names of the gods glowing as if alive.
The tent shakes.
