Chapter 114 - Christmas at the Burrow

After he put away all his gifts in his room, he went down to the living room and heard voices.

Silver and Copper were talking, but they weren't alone.

Two other house elves stood with them — Don and Lisa — chatting happily.

Alexander leaned against the doorway.

"So this is where everyone disappeared to."

All four house elves jumped slightly before bowing.

"Young Master!"

Alexander waved his hand casually.

"No need for that today."

He reached into his briefcase and pulled out four small gifts.

Ravenclaw-style scarves.

Neatly knitted.

Each enchanted to stay warm.

With their names stitched into them.

He handed one to each of them.

Silver blinked.

Copper froze.

Don and Lisa trembled as they held the scarves.

"T-This is for us…?"

Alexander nodded.

"Merry Christmas."

The reaction was immediate.

Tears burst out from all four house elves at once.

"We… we don't deserve gifts from Young Master…"

"We are only servants…"

Alexander laughed softly and waved them off.

"It's Christmas. And we're family."

That only made them cry harder.

He let them have their moment before clapping his hands lightly.

"Alright. Enough crying. We're going to the Weasley home for Christmas dinner later."

All four house elves instantly cheered.

"Yes, Young Master!"

"House elves will prepare!"

"We will help cook!"

"We will clean everything!"

Alexander shook his head, amused.

"Do whatever makes you happy."

He returned to his room afterward to do some Christmas homework.

Assignments still existed.

While doing his homework, Silver appeared quietly and placed lunch beside him.

"Young Master must eat."

Alexander nodded without looking up.

"Thanks, Silver."

He ate while working.

As evening approached, Copper knocked on his door.

"Young Master… it is almost time. We must head to the Weasley home soon."

Alexander stretched.

"Already?"

He organized his desk, packed away his work, and then gathered the gifts he had prepared for the Weasley family.

Once everything was ready, he closed his briefcase.

"Let's go."

Alexander and the four house elves walked together toward the Weasley home.

Even before reaching the door…

He could feel it.

Warmth.

Noise.

Laughter.

Pure chaos.

He knocked.

The door opened slightly.

Ginny peeked out.

Seeing him, she smiled brightly — then whispered:

"Come in."

Alexander stepped inside.

He barely had time to remove his coat before the twins dragged him onto the couch.

"Chen!"

"You made it!"

He laughed as they shoved him down between them.

Alexander gestured toward the four house elves.

"You guys go enjoy yourselves."

They bowed gratefully and rushed off to the kitchen to help.

Helping was what they loved most.

Alexander handed out gifts.

American sweets for the family.

And clothes for Ginny.

Her eyes sparkled.

"Thank you!"

Ron looked extremely jealous.

"Why does she get clothes and we get candy?"

Alexander smirked.

"Because she appreciates them more."

Soon they were all talking.

Laughing.

Retelling stories from the semester.

And of course…

The Troll Slayer story came up again.

This time with full photos and motion pictures.

Ginny watched wide-eyed.

"I can't wait to go to Hogwarts next year!"

As dinner was nearly ready, the door opened again.

Mr. Weasley entered, followed by Mr. and Mrs. Chen.

Everyone gathered around the table.

Dinner was loud.

Warm.

Comfortable.

Mr. Weasley excitedly talked about a new grilling technique and seasonings he'd discovered.

The twins kept interrupting to share their favorite semester moments.

Ron complained loudly about Alexander being too strict on him.

"He doesn't let me have fun! He makes me study!"

Mrs. Weasley immediately defended Alexander.

"Which is why your grades improved."

Ron sank into his chair.

After dinner, the kids went outside to play in the snow.

Alexander brought the four house elves with him.

They had wanted to help clean up, but Mrs. Weasley insisted they play outside.

Mrs. Weasley enjoyed her chat with Mrs. Chen while cleaning up.

So now…

It was battle time.

Alexander and his four house elves stood facing the Weasley siblings.

Five versus four, Percy thought he was too good to join.

Alexander shouted.

"Ready?"

Snowballs flew instantly.

Alexander cast Protego to block the opening volley.

Meanwhile, the four house elves quickly built a small snow wall for cover.

They peeked out and threw snowballs nervously.

Every time they hit someone—

"Sorry!"

"House elf apologizes!"

It was both effective and hilarious.

The fight went on for a while until Alexander raised his hand.

"Alright."

He smirked.

"Final Assault."

He and the four house elves cast together.

Hundreds of snowballs lifted into the air at once—

Then launched forward.

The Weasley kids were buried instantly.

Turned into living snowmen.

Alexander didn't wait.

"Retreat!"

He and the house elves sprinted back inside the house, laughing.

Behind them, the twins were digging Ginny out of the snow.

"Chen, you cheater!"

"No fair using house elves!"

Their shouting echoed into the warm Christmas night as laughter filled the Burrow once more.
