Chapter 125 - Chen Saving the Beauty

March arrived quietly at Hogwarts.

The snow had begun to melt, the winds weren't as cruel, and students slowly shifted from winter laziness back into competitive energy.

For most, that meant exams were approaching.

For two certain twins, it meant pranks.

The twins had cornered Alexander one evening in the corridor.

Both of them had identical scheming grins on their faces.

"We're planning our next masterpiece," Fred said.

"Bigger than Valentine's," George added.

After hearing those words, Alexander started to walk away and said.

"Go study."

The twins blinked.

"…What?!"

"Study?!"

"Study," He repeated flatly. "And don't lose your next Quidditch match."

They looked at each other, offended.

"Oi, we don't lose."

"Yeah, we always win."

Alexander gave them a death glare.

They coughed.

"…We'll go study."

"Quidditch is important."

Quidditch season resumed in March.

First match:

Ravenclaw vs Gryffindor.

Students packed the stands early, house colors waving wildly in the wind.

Blue and bronze banners clashed against red and gold.

Alexander, however, wasn't interested in the match itself.

He was watching only one person.

Cho.

As Ravenclaw's Seeker, she carried the weight of victory on her shoulders.

And like always before every match, she was nervous.

The night before, she had been restless.

Overthinking.

"What if I missed the Snitch?"

"What if I got hit?"

"What if I cost Ravenclaw the win?"

Alexander had listened quietly, then simply rested his forehead against hers.

"You'll win."

Her anxiety eased instantly.

Game time.

Brooms shot into the sky as the whistle blew.

The game was intense from the start.

Bludgers flew violently.

Chasers clashed mid-air.

The crowd roared after every goal.

Gryffindor took the early lead.

20 minutes in, and Ravenclaw were losing.

Alexander sat calmly in the stands, eyes never leaving Cho as she darted across the pitch, scanning for gold.

He didn't cheer.

He was watching for danger.

30 minutes.

Fatigue began setting in for both teams.

Movements slowed.

Dodges became sloppier.

That's when Cho saw it.

A flash of gold near the commentator's tower.

She dove instantly.

The Gryffindor Seeker, Harry reacted a second too late.

Cho stretched fingers closed around the Snitch.

Victory.

But at that exact moment, a Bludger slammed into her.

The impact knocked her sideways.

Her broom spun.

And she began to fall.

Before the crowd could even scream.

Alexander was already moving.

He vaulted over the stands' railing, landing cleanly on the pitch grass while drawing his wand in one motion.

"Accio Cho!"

Her falling body jerked mid-air as the summoning charm locked on.

She flew straight toward him.

He ran and jumped forward and caught her securely in his arms.

The stadium erupted.

Cho blinked, dazed, a small bruise forming on her head.

Alexander looked down at her and said.

"Are you okay?"

Instead of answering.

She weakly raised her hand.

The Golden Snitch fluttered between her fingers.

"…We won."

The Ravenclaw stands exploded.

Students stormed the field in celebration.

Cheers. Banners. Total Chaos.

But Alexander barely noticed.

He adjusted his hold on her protectively as she tried to insist she was fine.

He didn't put her down.

Instead carried her in a princess carry.

When the Ravenclaw Captain flew down.

Cho handed over the Snitch while still in his arms.

Only then did he summon her broom.

"Accio Nimbus 2001."

The broom shot into his left hand.

He mounted while still holding her and took off toward the castle.

By the time they reached the Hospital Wing, half the school was already gossiping.

Madam Pomfrey rushed over immediately.

"Quidditch! Honestly, the most dangerous sport ever invented."

Alexander put Cho down on an open bed.

Madam Pompfrey fussed over Cho, applying potions that reduced the swelling.

To clear the headache, Cho had a drink of a disgusting-looking potion.

Cho insisted she was fine.

Madam Pomfrey still made her rest a bit before dismissing them.

The moment they stepped outside the Hospital Wing.

Alexander scooped her up again.

Cho's face turned bright red.

"I can walk!"

"No," he replied.

"…Why not?!" She said quietly.

He smirked slightly.

"It's more romantic this way."

"And," he added casually, "Peeves is taking pictures right now."

They both looked up.

Sure enough, Peeves hovered nearby with a magical camera, laughing while snapping photos.

Alexander laughed.

Cho covered her face, half-mortified, half-amused.

Students who passed by began whispering.

Creating more gossip and more staring.

He didn't care.

He carried her all the way to Ravenclaw Tower before finally letting her down.

The second her feet touched the floor.

She bolted off toward the dorms, face still burning.

They met again at dinner that night.

And the gossip had multiplied.

Students kept glancing at them, whispering behind their hands.

Ravenclaw tried steering the conversation toward the victory, but no one listened.

Because the twins had already done damage.

Despite losing the match, they were grinning from ear to ear.

Fred slammed his hand dramatically on the table.

"And then—!"

"Cho, exhausted from pushing beyond her limits—!"

"Caught the Snitch in a final act of heroic sacrifice—!"

"Before collapsing from the sky—!"

George stood up on the bench.

"Only for Chen to fly in like a hero—!"

"Catching her in his arms—!"

"And carrying her off into the sunset!"

They both pointed dramatically.

"We call it — Chen Saving the Beauty!"

The hall roared with laughter and cheers.

They tried walking over to tease him directly.

But the moment they saw his eyes, death glare.

They froze.

Coughed.

Then turned back to the crowd and retold the story even louder this time.

Another Hogwarts legendary story was born that day.

Alexander didn't care.

But for Cho…

Every time she heard the story repeated.

She blushed more and more.

At one point, she softly hit his arm.

"This is your fault. You didn't have to act like such a hero…"

He kept eating and said.

"A win is a win."

She tried to stay annoyed.

But failed.

Because deep down.

She liked being saved by him.
