Chapter 2: The First Step in a New World**
I followed Elira through long stone halls. Everything felt unreal—the clothes, the people, the air itself. It smelled clean, like rain and magic.
"This is the summoning hall," Elira said. "You were called here to save our world. Simple, right?"
I laughed nervously. "I can't even save myself."
She stopped and looked at me for a moment. Her eyes were sharp.
"We'll see."
A knight brought a crystal and placed it in my hands.
"Focus," he said.
The crystal began to glow.
Warmth spread through my body. Images flashed in my mind—fire, wind, light. The crystal shone brighter, then cracked.
The room went silent.
Elira's eyes widened just a little.
"…Interesting," she said. "Very interesting."
I looked at my hands. They were shaking, but I felt strong. Stronger than before.
For the first time in my life, my heart beat with excitement.
Maybe… this world had a place for me after all.
