Chapter 1 - First Meeting and First Glance

*Raven's POV*

"I hope I am not late." I said while I entered the venue.

The venue was a practice centre which was reserved only for the rich people. And that should have been my first sign that I was not pairing with some one normal.

While I was still glancing around to be sure that I was at the right place, my coach called me out "Raven! come here!" the practice area was so huge that I could bet that it was even bigger then a floor of my company building.

As I moved forward in a area which was practically empty. I saw her, the person that I thought didn't belong here, Valentina Veago.

Even before I could process any thing, my coach a little nervous said "This is your partner, Ms. Veago." I smiled the most awkward smile of my life and said "Nice to met you, Ms. Veago." She extended her hand and said "Nice to meet you too, Ms. Bciuga."

I was about to take her hand for a hand shake but then I remembered that I was wet from head to toe since I was driving through the rain like a manic just to get here in time. I looked at my coach who was nervous and was basically telling through her eyes that I had already messed up.

I looked back at Ms. Veago, who was having a very calm and collected expression. It was impossible to see what was she thinking at that moment. I knew if I stayed silent, I would mess up even more. So, I slowly opened my mouth and said "Sorry... I... I am wet right now from rain. so..." She withdrew her hand and said

"Don't worry. It is okay..."

I was so embarrassed that I couldn't even look in her eyes any more...

And just as I thought this couldn't get worse. Some one else entered through the door. It was a middle aged, blonde women who was wearing black track suite. The moment she saw me, she goes "Oh honey, Do you need cloths to change? I have a extra t-shirt and sweat pants. But it will a little large for you."

I gave her the most honest and most sincere smile and said "Thank you. I am indebted to you."

But before I could follow her, some one grabbed my hand. I turned back to see and It was Ms. Veago. I said nervously "Ms. Veago, do you have to say anything?"

She smiled and said "I..I also have extra cloths. I think mine will fit you more..."

The middle-aged women, my coach and I were squarely stunned that Ms. Veago offered her cloths. Like the same person who was the heir of the richest man and was said to be the most talented person on the earth was offering her cloths to some peasant like me.

I tried to decline her by saying "No... No... Don't worry. I... I..."

"Follow me."

She interrupted me before I could even finish the sentence.

I was confused at that time but then again who am I to refuse her holy kindness?
