Chapter 19 - Part18: Lü Bu’s Empire Rises

Conquest of Another World: Lü Bu's Teyvat Empire

Amid a rift in the chaotic void, a radiant figure descended abruptly upon the continent of Teyvat—accompanied by the neigh of the Red Hare, and the glint of the Sky-Shattering Halberd.

At the moment he landed, the winds and clouds shifted. The towering, imposing figure of Lü Bu, exuding an overwhelming ferocity, appeared before the eyes of Mondstadt's citizens.

It was the Windblume Festival, and the people were lost in joy. At the sight of such prosperity and revelry, greed and the desire to conquer flashed in Lü Bu's eyes. He squeezed his legs against the Red Hare, and charged into the crowd like a loosed arrow.

The steed neighed and trampled; Lü Bu swung his halberd, its cold light cutting through the air. Mondstadt's guards fell one after another, their blood staining the festival flowers red. Terrified citizens fled, their cries and pleas intertwining. In mere hours, Mondstadt fell beneath his iron hooves.

Barbatos, the Anemo Archon, had been indulging in the tavern. By the time he realized what had happened, Mondstadt had already changed masters.

In Liyue, the Geo Archon had only recently departed, and the Seven Luminaries were struggling to maintain order. When Lü Bu heard of Liyue's wealth, he led a vast army—composed of conscripted Fatui and Treasure Hoarders—marching toward the harbor.

Merchant ships crowded the docks; the streets brimmed with goods and travelers. As Lü Bu's forces arrived at the city walls, Keqing, Ningguang, and the other Luminaries hastily summoned the Millelith to resist.

Yet Lü Bu charged at the forefront, his might unmatched. The Millelith fought desperately, but could not withstand the ferocious assault. In the end, Liyue too was conquered, its peace and prosperity lost.

In Inazuma, the Electro Archon was enforcing the Vision Hunt Decree, leaving the nation already in turmoil. Though Lü Bu heard of the fearsome Inazuman samurai, he feared nothing and led his army across the sea.

Inazuma's ronin and Shogunate forces took up arms to defend their home. But Lü Bu wielded his halberd, rampaging through the battlefield as if no one stood in his way.

Backed by the Fatui's foul sorcery and the Treasure Hoarders' ruthless tactics, his men gradually tore through Inazuma's defenses. Even when the Electro Archon unleashed her Musou no Hitotachi against such a formidable foe, she could not turn the tide. Inazuma ultimately fell into Lü Bu's hands.

In Snezhnaya, the Tsaritsa had been plotting a greater scheme—yet she did not expect this sudden, overwhelming invader.

Snezhnaya's soldiers were well-trained in the ice and snow, but Lü Bu's army burned with high morale. With the Fatui providing inside knowledge of Snezhnaya's layout, the battle turned brutally chaotic.

The Tsaritsa and Lü Bu clashed in a breathtaking duel, magic against martial might shaking heaven and earth. Yet with his unparalleled combat prowess and frenzied battle will, Lü Bu emerged victorious, annexing Snezhnaya into his domain.

After conquering the four nations, Lü Bu forged a vast "Lü Bu Empire". He appointed Chen Gong as Prime Minister, entrusting him with the empire's governance.

Brilliant and resourceful, Chen Gong toiled day and night, establishing strict laws to rule this enormous, fractured realm. He conscripted Mondstadt's bards into a propaganda corps, spreading songs of Lü Bu's "glorious deeds"; he dismantled and rebuilt Liyue's commerce, funneling endless wealth into Lü Bu's treasury; he imposed a new conscription system in Inazuma to expand the army; and the Fatui factories in Snezhnaya worked at full capacity to arm his forces.

Zhang Liao was named Grand General, in charge of training and commanding the military. With iron discipline, he forged the Fatui and Treasure Hoarder recruits into a disciplined, deadlier fighting force.

Zhang Liao led this army to crush resistance across the land. On every corner of Teyvat, the march of the imperial army echoed alongside the weeping of the conquered.

In his palace, the overlord sat tall upon his throne, gazing at the kneeling masses below, and roared with laughter.

His empire had risen in this alien world. Yet the spark of resistance smoldered in the shadows. The people of Teyvat never abandoned hope of reclaiming their home.

A greater storm was quietly gathering, beneath the continent trampled by iron hooves.
