Chapter 57 - Chapter 57 Danger? Risk?

"I haven't told it today yet... This uniform is too distracting..." Ameri said coyly.

"Ah, 'first love memories' is fine then."

...Halfway through the story, the cup in Ameri's hand suddenly dropped to the floor and shattered.

"Are you alright?" Shesi-kun asked.

"I'm fine, but... it's not a good omen..."

Deep in the forest behind the second-year tower, in a cave, a dark figure cackled as he looked at Ameri's photo pinned to the wall.

"Soon, it will be very soon."

After three days of Adaptation, Shesi-kun and Iruma were completely accustomed to the rhythm of the Student Council. In fact... they both felt that this pace was just so-so, incomparable to their part-time work at 'first love memories' in the human world. Back then, he and Iruma seemed to only sleep four hours a day; that was the most painful time. Although it was quite tough here too, compared to back then... there was no comparison.

Ameri looked at the busy Shesi-kun and Iruma.

"Hmm... they're making quick progress."

Their work was quickly finished, but... why was the Blood Moon lasting so long? It had already been four days, and they still couldn't eat a proper lunch, still having to eat beans.

Westan looked at the tearful Iruma and couldn't help but say, "Still not used to it? If you're hungry, play with this." Westan pulled out a multi-faceted, Rubik's Cube-like object from his pocket, full of holes.

"This is a Magic Circuit Game. Imagine your magic as a line passing through the holes. It's for precise magic control."

Iruma tried it... he couldn't imagine it. Shesi-kun, seeing this, took it and played with great enthusiasm.

"How foolish. You practice slowly," Westan said, throwing another one to Iruma.

"Oh~ Senior is so gentle~"

"Don't call me senior! We're clearly in the same grade!" Westan looked at Kishlight next to him.

"But Senior joined the Student Council before me."

"I told you, don't call me that! It makes it sound like I was held back a grade."

"Um, why did everyone join the Student Council?" Iruma asked curiously.

Kishlight and Westan exchanged glances.

"Secret." x2

"Huh?"

"That's natural, isn't it? And the reasons are endless. For dreams, for money, for power—it all eventually turns into a discussion about desires, right? But if I had to say... one of the reasons is the President... the symbol of Babyls."

"Her responsibilities and work are immeasurable, yet she shows no flaws. She is so outstanding. Being in close proximity to such a charming demon is a valuable asset in itself. So, to be honest, when the President recruited you two, I was so envious I wanted you to die."

"Die?"

"I meant, I wanted you to recognize how special your current situation is."

"Hmm..."

At the cafeteria entrance, Ameri, Grief, and Smoke looked at the group.

"Looks like their relationship has improved."

"They're quite spirited. Except for Iruma, who cries during lunch, but we haven't heard any complaints," Grief said.

"Looking at them reminds me of the past. The President always brought back strange demons," Smoke said.

"Not strange demons, but interesting demons," Ameri retorted.

"Interesting, huh..."

Suddenly, the broadcast blared.

"Student Council President... please... proceed immediately... to the Third Preparation Room..."

"Such messy static," Grief said.

Shesi-kun, who was playing with his toy, stopped and looked at the broadcast thoughtfully, then a smile played on his lips before he continued playing with his toy.

"I'll head over then," Ameri said.

"Yes, Boss."

Ameri arrived at the Third Preparation Room shortly. As she opened the door, she saw a person in a black robe lying on the floor, groaning.

"Are you alright?!" Ameri immediately rushed forward to ask.

The person in black raised his mouth under his black hood, then extended a hand from his black robe and sprayed a gas onto Ameri's face. Ameri felt a wave of weakness and drowsiness wash over her, and then she collapsed.

A short while later, the head of the Broadcast Division rushed over to the Student Council.

"Excuse me, where is the President?"

"Weren't you the ones who called her away on the broadcast?"

"No demon from the Broadcast Division called the President!"

"Nani?!" x5

Everyone immediately rushed to the Third Preparation Room.

As they opened the door, they saw Ameri lying on the floor.

"President!"

"Ameri!" Shesi-kun also panicked a bit seeing Ameri lying there. Shesi-kun knew about this incident; after all, it was a relatively important event in his previous life, so Shesi-kun naturally remembered it. But why didn't Shesi-kun stop Ameri from going? Naturally, Shesi-kun also wanted to see Ameri's gentle side... But when Shesi-kun saw Ameri lying on the ground, he remembered that this wasn't the novel from his previous life; it wouldn't go as he expected. What if they didn't use that kind of potion this time... And Shesi-kun only just remembered... he wasn't the Iruma from the original story, and this world's Iruma didn't have that kind of plot... So Ameri's... these things, Shesi-kun had to admit he hadn't thought about at all.

"President, are you alright?"

Amidst their shouts, Ameri slowly opened her eyes.

"I'm... I'm fine."

"That's good. Are you injured?"

"No, wah?"

"That's good... Wah?"

"Um, could someone give me some clothes? I'm so embarrassed wearing this..."

"Eh? Eh eh eh eh eh?"

Babirus Demon School, with six grades and 666 enrolled students. Among the many demons, a group maintains order within the school under strict supervision. This organization, composed of noble and cold-blooded elites among demons, is the Student Council.

One day after that incident, as several demons were kicking soda cans around in the stairwell, Ameri walked over. Unlike her previous cold-blooded suppression, this time Ameri looked at them and smiled, saying words that those students would never have heard before.

"Greetings."

Shesi-kun and Iruma, hearing the growing whispers around them, looked with some concern at Ameri walking ahead.

"Did you hear? The President, she..."

"Really..."

Eiko, beside them, was frantically snapping photos with the camera she had worked so hard to buy.

"Ah, Iruma-kun, and Shesi-kun, and President Ameri! How lucky to get three people in one shot! The President looks so good like this, so gentle!" With that, Eiko continued to snap away.

"Let's observe for a while first, after all, Teacher Momonoqi also said..." Smoke looked at the others.

"Mm."

Recalling it now, Shesi-kun breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed it was still the same; the butterfly effect hadn't caused that person to spray some strange substance.

"After experiencing daily life, his personality might recover."

"Is the mind like a sweater knitted by an amateur?" Shesi-kun still remembered Teacher Momonoqi's description of Morax Momonoki.
