Chapter 2 - II. Brother!

It was not long till a week flew by. She, the little glitch, opened her eyes.

'Where am I?' She thought to herself – slowly sitting up. Her hollow black eyes sucked in all light as she blinked.

She was in a room on a simple desk, with a plastic box in her palm, something inside it jiggling – akin to a bunch of bells.

It was poorly colored with various different pretty colors.

'Is this supposed to be a toy…?'

She reflexively began playing with its rough edges, smiling and looking around softly as she did so.

The room around her had a lot of… Interesting design choices. A bed that wanted to be a car, a vast collection of figurines from various anime and manga, the list went on.

Before the room could look any cooler, a tall, very cool, very epic skeleton entered.

It was Papyrus' room she found herself in, and he had just come home.

He froze in the doorway, eyes lighting up.

"YOU ARE AWAKE! THANK GOODNESS!"

He then shouted for his brother, who was standing next to him.

He wasn't there a second ago.

"THERE YOU ARE SANS! LOOK!"

He gestured to her, and Sans's gaze flickered over her form.

"Right, good job bro. Since sleeping beauty is awake now, we should probably get its name. "

"GOOD IDEA! WHAT'S YOUR NAME LITTLE ONE?"

She looked up at them and blinked, looking as if there was not a single thought behind her inky pupils.

She sat on her legs and raised her hands forward.

"Bwa!" Said beauty declared, plopping her hands back down on the table with a soft tap.

'Fucking end me. Please.' Bug begged in her mind. That was meant to be a clear, audible "I dunno" and yet all she could do was babble.

Her soul quietly defected from reality a little more, only to snap back in place. Her vocal chords felt so grainy and strangely unresolved, but trying to speak did make them feel ever so slightly better.

She blushed with embarrassment, her pale white cheeks growing a shade grayer, only adding to her apparent youth.

'Oh God please don't tell me its an actual kid…' Sans prayed with a twitch of his eye, standing still - like a statue.

Luckily for the worried skeleton, his great brother stepped forward.

"WELL ALRIGHT THEN! WE SHALL GRANT YOU A NICKNAME UNTIL WE FIND OUT WHO YOUR PARENTS ARE!"

"Good idea bro. Let's call her Stapes."

Papyrus raised a suspicious eyebrow.

"HMM…"

Then suddenly, it clicked.

"WE WILL NOT NAME HER AFTER THE SMALLEST BONE BROTHER! SUCH BAD TASTE!" Paps huffed, crossing his arm disapprovingly.

"Okay sure, how about Bug then?"

"BROTHER-"

Papyrus began, but before he could go off, Bug nodded happily.

She quite liked that name, for some reason.

"HA… WELL FINE. BUG IT IS."

Bug mewled with excitement, she had tried to say "Yay" but instead… "Bah!" was all that could be heard.

"...WE SHOULD PROBABLY ASK SOMEONE FOR ADVICE ABOUT CHILDREN…"

'I'm not a child Papyrus!' Is all Bug could shout in her head as she pouted, smacking her small hands on the table again.

'This is gonna be a bad time.' Is all Sans could think, already exhausted.
